I'm not resident in the USA so I can't sign personally, but I've called in some help.
Other members might want to think about the other on-line communities that they're in, and appeal for participation. (Except for Terrill's 'Sex Magick' group. That I really don't want to know about!)

We are too upstat to make exact predictions, but from last 24h data it is clear now we get >5000 signatures at day 30, probably around 7500. Maybe as much as 30-40k (!), if rates are still increasing like in the last 3-4 days.

Five minutes ago I accessed the usual petition page at http://wh.gov/40s and it was up.
Two minutes ago there was a referral to a page that said:

EDIT: Mystery now solved. I had attempted to sign the petition for a friend and used a temporary email address of [email protected], looking for a WH response visible at http://dick.mailinator.com. I assume that simple email address had already been associated with a signer to that removed petition.
