WHITE HOUSE PETITION TO INVESTIGATE THE CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY - PLEASE SIGN

Winnie, the White House probably doesn't give a damn. If it did we probably wouldn't now be in the position of having to petition the government to do something about it.

But through various types of actions that we can take as citizens it IS possible to put enough pressure on our government to do what is in the public interest. This could be the beginning of a massive campaign to put pressure on our government to do the right thing. It is one of our basic rights to petition our government and imo it is one of our duties as well. If we see something wrong in our country and then do nothing about it then nothing may ever happen. The government is obviously not perfect and we cannot depend on them to automatically do the right thing, but sometimes with enough pressure applied it can make an enormous difference.

If 5000 signatures on this petition doesn't do it than maybe a million will. And if the White House doesn't act then we can petition our congressional reps to do something about it. If the WH and or Justice Dept has conflicts of interest preventing them from acting then we can bypass them and go to congress.
There are millions of people around the country who would support us if they were presented with a petition and some basic information as concerns the CoS.

Yes, it's one of your rights - may as well use it. Not everyone has it that's for sure.

We are now approaching 320 signatures despite the problems some have had logging onto the White House servers. We will try and comm with them on that tomorrow. Keep up the good work guys. Marty's assistance appears to be making a big difference.

I re-read Marty's essay today.
It is actually disheartening.
I have noted how people speak of "Mexican corruption."
"It's all bribery and corruption in Mexico."
How hypocritical is that ?
No corruption in the US State Department and Department of Justice ?
Indeed.
The big difference between the USA and a 3rd world country is that we are land with the Rule of Law.
"And Justice for all ...."
slogan should be replaced with
"And corruption for all who have the $$$$$ and the high powered Washington DC insiders who have the connections."

Continuous sunshine and exposure into these dark crevices and devious deeds of horrific abuse disinfects.
An earlier poster used to state SUNSHINE DISINFECTS !

Here's the sign the petition link again

The White House could care less if you used an Anonymous Name.
It is the QUANTITY of concerned citizens with unique IP addresses writing in.

Whether you sign in as King Kong, Mickey Mouse or Tinker Bell.....is not of any consequence.

Scientology THUGGERY is so well known and the malicious retaliation they are so famous for.
So Being anonymous is more than understood in most circles.

And the White House sites have many levels of security and Firewalls and limited access for your IP address.

You could safely state that White House IT specialists than run the sites were not born on banana boats ! (joke)

Yes, in this circle. But I don't want to harm the effort by using a blatantly contrived name.

I do have a very common first name. I supposed I could use one of my former husbands' last initials and addresses and call it good. Or even identities. It certainly would provide some good entertainment to get OSA after one of them. :hysterical:

Or ask a friend to sign on your behalf?

When concerned about possible retaliation by the cos in the form of disconnection, I ask that you take a moment to think about the future. Do you want your grandchildren to live in a family in which they can be cut out for being true to themselves?

I suggest that now may be the time to act on conscience in the best interest of the generations to come.

Even if hundreds were to suffer disconnection for standing up to this criminal organization by signing this petition, would that not clearly demonstrate the evil nature of this group to the authorities and the world, and perhaps our families?

By living in fear, we condemn our descendants to the same fate.

It's in the constitution to petition the government for redress of wrongs. They may not carry through but to not do it is defeatism and that's just wrong.
What makes anyone thing this White House gives a damn? Scn fits right into their plan to impoverish us all. And the Justice Department...gawd, lawdy all mighty they wouldn't lift a pebble to help us white folks.

Feral, this sounds very much like a DDOS (distributed denial of service) attack, a form of computer hacking, and highly ILLEGAL in this country...could OSA be stupid enough to try to hack a White House website? :duh: (Don't answer, anybody!)

I suggest sending an email or FAX detailing your trouble logging in to their site to add your "vote" to the petition.

Here is a pretty good generic contact point for the white house staff, including a FAX number. You might just FAX your concerns to "Webmaster at Whitehouse".

Anyone else who has had trouble logging in to sign the petition, keep trying!

Welcome Newbie Scout 77!!! :happydance: Glad you joined us!

For anyone who fears disconnection or retaliation for signing the petition, use a made up but real sounding name, or just initials (yours or your Exes, LOL NoName!!!) Use a different city or no city, or a slightly different zip code. Go ahead and mix it up if that makes you feel safer. :)

I personally think it's cool to see all the different places where the signers come from, but hey...do the right thing in a manner that makes you feel safe!

O.K.? Just sign the petition, and tell all your friends and social media contacts about it!

So, just in case "TH from San Bruno" reads ESMB, let it be known that this person has a long lost friend here and should send me a private message :)

For those of you outside the US and even those in the US, it carries even more force to send a letter to the White House stating that you submit your signature to the Graham Berry petition to investigate scientology. Even if sent from China, it will take far less than thirty days.

Just a suggestion.

Great idea! I'll do it - you have my word.
