The raid was truly a win. ChiAnon's usually raid in downtown Chicago where there is the ability to reach many more people but raids at the local org do take place somewhat randomly, mainly as a reminder that we haven't forgotten about them. Each time, they baaaaaaw to the local police, claiming all day services. As a result, the police require Anon's to be stationed at a distance of 150 feet from the org itself, though this does not prevent us from marching in front of the org and is actually something of an advantage as there is a 5-way street intersection conveniently placed at that distance which allows for even greater exposure.

Raids in crazy cold and wet weather have a way of really getting the attention of the public. There was a tremendous amount of horn love, including smiles and waves from passing police. While this was no hug raid, a worker on a city water dept. truck insisted on a free hug directly in front of the org. Anonymous delivered!

About a dozen or so brave Anon's came out for this raid, along with a writer for a national monthly publication who interviewed several Anon's for an upcoming article. ChiAnon's will be raiding again this coming Saturday, downtown in Millennium Park for a double dose of January enturbulation.

I have no pictures to share at the moment however I did just get back from the raid in NYC and it was around 0F to 10F degrees today with a heavy wind blowing in off the Hudson river up West 46th. It was INCREDIBLY cold and I had to duck out an hour and a half into the raid because despite being three layers of pants/shirts and two pairs of socks, my feet were freezing so badly it felt like I was suffering Diabetic neuropathy (lol psychosomatic illness?).

Was a great time, had some new faces; old faces showed up probably about thirty people or better.

I would love to see more picket reports if anyone has the time to find them, they tend to be scattered between different sites now and I don't have the time to do a lot of searching.

I think it's important that we exes are reminded of what is still happening around the world on our behalf. People we don't know are out there protesting, picketing and giving a voice to those who can't speak. :happydance:

The London picket went very well. I didn't go to Queen Victoria st, so can only comment on Tottenham Ct. Rd. There were around 50 protesters, having a good time, shouting slogans, giving out leaflets, cars honking. There were two innovations, some guys had the bright idea of wearing Kentucky fried Chicken buckets as hats over their masks. The Kentucky shop were no doubt pleased to donate these as people were all day circulating and giving people chicken as well as cake.

Two very brave guys in the cold weather wore Borat Mankini's. One was shouting through a megaphone comments such as COS took the shirt of his back and other witticisms. This seems destined to be put up on U-tube and if someone goes to WWP they may find some links.

There was also some cool Bhangra dancing, I believe the music from
" Slumdog Millionaire."

Last sunday I went to tottenham court road looking for electronic items. I
twice passed the org, and both times their was just one guy on reception, and no other staff or public at all.

Re-registered just for this post.

Perth, Australia over here. We did both friday night and saturday lunchtime. Numbers were down, there were 11 of us at the peak on saturday, which was the main one. No-one really bothers with the masks any more. Had a good long chat with our local scilons again. They seem almost friendly by now. I can recognise a bunch of them on sight, and they recognise me too, lol. Our main guy knows all their names, too.

Regarding someone saying that things are getting more spread out now - Not only are they getting more spread out, often people don't even bother writing up reports on what they've done. This will be the only report anywhere on the net of our raid I believe (not that it bothers me).

Re: AUSTIN PROTEST 1-17-09 From WWP
After you left there was this crazy homeless guy, who I gave some cake. He eat it on CoS property and made a bit of a mess. A cult member gets made at him for it, the tries to convert him by giving a pamphlet. Immediately, he throws it to me to properly dispose of (lulz). Later, after the other guy left it was me on my own. I talked to about 10 different people about the cult, and hopefully got some ppl on our side. Every now and then a cult member would come out, then I would ask how their day was. The avoided looking at me and were silent. So I told them to have a good day. Well a lady was restocking on pamphlets on the table when a man walks by and reads my sign saying "Scientology Hates Free Speech". THen he turns to the lady and asks if it was true. She treated him like she treated me, with silence. (Good job on PR btw haha) So the man says "Well I guess it's true." I continue to talk to him and his wife about us, them, and how they think we're terrorists. He then goes inside, asks if I am a terrorist. Their response was "Why don't you ask him yourself" or "Yes" (both are retarded answers, and doesn't help their cause). The man was borderline sane, so idk what exactly he said they said. ANYWAYS, the couple were on our side.

Re: London January Postgame
Small win from today - overheard from a woman passing by talking to her daughter:

<at the anons> "...no they're not dangerous people."
<points over the road to the $cilon bunker> "They are the dangerous ones."

2 things I'd take away from this:

1. Win! The message is getting out there.

TUSTIN
http://forums.whyweprotest.net/284-usa-west-coast/first-report-tustin-1-17-09-a-36807/

This was my first protest ever for anything, and today's my 58th b-day.

So, from my perspective, it went well.

There were 6 anons, but the org was pretty full of people from what I've heard about Tustin. Prolly 30+ cars in the parking lot.

There was also what I would consider a heavy presence of PI's. My guess would be at least 5 white vans/SUV's + other scilon cars lurking about. There were no instances of handlers coming out to us, but one scilon in a car was stopped at the traffic light, rolled down a window and said "how wonderful the tech is and it helps people." She rolled her window up after I asked how her stats were.

Weather was warm, got lots of horn love, some very enthusiastic from young people. After about 2 hours the others left for L.A.

My thanks to AnonOrange for running interference for me with the PI's as we left. It was an exciting 10 minutes for me going back to my car (I parked very close) and I had to do some Evasion and Escape involving a restroom and a costume change. Heady stuff for an old man....

-----------------------------------------------------------
First report from Tustin 1-17-09.
There was a point when the ratio between PI's and protesters was dead even...but then...things started to get dangerous.

Enter...the equalizers. Dr. Glib and Nurse Noice.

Re: Los Angeles Post Game Jan 17th
Is it just me, or was that the BEST GLOBAL EVER???

There was just something about the whole thing. First, no Scilons handing out Anti-Anon crap. Then, the handlers that were there (Tim, Jeff, Frank, Shaky hand guy) were actually pretty friendly.

But the group was great, too. GREGG FROM BOSTON, Graham, WBM, Tory, Ex OT8 Michael P., and the whole cast of characters including Relyt, Empress, Snake, Smurf, AO, no AGP (I think he was sick) An Hero, Light up sign guy, Girl with fishnet stockings, Girl in scrubs, people with cool signs, Tall Guy with megaphone, Guy with a dozen signs stuck to him, a Scilon plant WITH A BABY CARRIAGE AND A BABY, someone from Wired Magazine, and lots of others.

First we were at HGB, and people trickled in until we had a decent group. We all talked to Frank, which turned out to be a diversion because at the same time a big bus full of Sea Org arrived around the corner. The KFI show came on, and the timing was perfect, because we were all standing in front of the building while it played. Then we had music from Daile100. Lots of talking between Sclion handlers, anons and sps.

Then we went to Big Blue and the place was like a ghost town. We walked down LRH Way with our signs and music. What a sight. Gregg, Graham, all the biggest SPs walking down LRH Way deep into the center of the death star. All the Scilons had was one guy on a bike, then Jeff and Shaky hand guy. Then the Rick Astely song comes on, and we're all right there in front of big blue. The sun was going down, it's dead silent except for us, there's this big tall building with Sea Org and RPFers socked inside, and Never Gonna Give You Up starts playing. A few yards away the lone guard on the bike just stands there watching. It was definitely a moment.

Later, when we moved back to the corner, Moxon made an appearance. They had called the cops and 3-4 showed up, and he started to walk towards them. Right then there was a series of cars honking in support. It just went on and on. Moxon turned around and went back to the building. I'm not sure if he and Gregg ever got to meet.

Great day. Great protest. I can only imagine how good the Anoniversay is going to be.

I had stayed up all night making brownies, and I FORGOT TO PASS THEM OUT. Sorry. That was dumb.
