Readers should note the absence of the word 'church'. When I took the HAS course at the NY Org in May of 1968, Scientology was "an applied philosophy" with none of the trappings, symbols, rituals, etc of a religion. IIRC The Scientology Center and Scientology Foundation preceded the so-called Church.

The British Minister of Health used an unusual word in that article: "poltroonish".

poltroonish: fearful, timid, cowardly.

e.g. "David Miscavige is poltroonish".
