Tchaikovsky Neets Mozart
In discussing Russian music with a friend, I recalled that I learned surprisingly that Tschaikovsky was a great admirer of Mozart. From their styles and backgrounds, this would not be intuitively expected. Also, Tchaikovsky even wrote a tribute piece to Mozart called Mozartiana. This piece is very interesting because it blends the styles from a two time periods 100 years removed and two nations thousands of miles removed. Two great cultures, two time periods, on interesting blend, It is quite an interesting cocktail, one you would probably not drink at Margeritaville but you might drink this cocktail while dining in a fine Viennese or Russian restaurant. I give you Mozartiana by Pyotr Tchaikovsky:
OMG. I learned something new, there is more to this work than I thought. First is the portion that I knew about:

Next, is a different section which I was not familiar with.
