I just found this story of a guy who walked into an org and shot four people. My question is what Scientology services if any did he do ?

-- The man who shot four people 19 years ago at Portland's downtown Scientology center earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon last spring, worked in the campus cafeteria part time while a student and now lives in a group home in Springfield.
Jairus Chegero Godeka appeared Wednesday before the state's Psychiatric Security Review Board, arguing that he poses no danger to the community and should no longer be under the board's control.


He asked to return to his native Kenya and offered to give up his right to come back to the United States. He even asked to be placed on the no-fly list to prevent it. He promised to find a reputable psychiatrist in his home country to continue with treatment.


"He's been out among us in the community working with students and others pretty seamlessly,'' Godeka's lawyer, Harris Matarazzo, told the three-member board

I found the original article. He was a Scientologist:

• They said he and his estranged wife, Christina, met while he was a student. The two married in Vancouver and lived there for three or four months before moving to Portland.
  About five years into the marriage, they said, Godeka found Scientology.
  A month after he did, the in-laws said, Godeka sold his belongings, including a stereo the couple owned, and left his wife.
  ``The Church of Scientology told him he had to cleanse or purify himself and to leave her," Christina's mother said. ``He was fine until he got involved with that church."

He did not do any services in any org. He bought a book from Helen Burke (the pregnant one that he ended up shooting). He spent months between CC PTL org and San Francisco org calling in demanding money back (which he had never given them any, except for the one book he purchased. He claims it damaged him and that was why they owed him money). He had sent a remote control car with something that looked like a bomb into San Francisco org, with a note that said "next time it will be the real thing". Several months later, with no other incident, he showed up at CC PTL, shot Helen, who was at the front desk, then poured gasoline all around her desk (the bullet paralyzed her instantly, but she was barely conscious) and lit it on fire. Then Carlos Colon came up from Div 6 area, and was shot, just inches from his heart. Godeka then proceeded up to the second floor, where he shot Steve Crandell in the gut, then Jim Stone in the rear (which he did not feel because it mostly hit his wallet). Godeka then took Jackie Stone (Treas Sec) hostage and went into an enclosed fire stairwell that led back out to the front of the org. It was here he reloaded his gun. It was there the police negotiated with him. The entire time, all he said was "I just want a court case" over and over again. He finally surrendered without further incident.

That's the whole story, pretty much.

He had called Helen very often trying to talk with her and clear things up. She did try to reason with him politely in those phone conversations, and tried to explain he had only purchased a book, but he maintained that it had ruined his life and they owed him.

I know this story because I heard it from every single person who was there and this is all of their stories pieced together.

(I was sent there hours after it happened to help chill out everyone and get them back on purpose).

Scientology gunman received University of Oregon degree this year, worked on campus

SALEM -- The man who shot four people 19 years ago at Portland's downtown Scientology center earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Oregon last spring, worked in the campus cafeteria part time while a student and now lives in a group home in Springfield.

This is an interesting case. As many of you may recall, David Miscavige recently was an alleged victim of death threats which many thought may have been engineered by Miscavige himself in order to justify security expenditure or for some other purpose.

Here we have a legitimate threat. This guy is out and may have already violated the terms of his parole.
