I'm suspicious of stuff like this, because it smacks of a technique that spin doctors have used before.
Let say, hypothetically, that ufo's exit and the people who know that want to suppress that info for whatever reasons. They can't stop the reports, because there are too many of them, and they are too credible. One strategy is to bury it in bullshit.
Flood the various media with so many outlandish reports that the real ones get both lost in the huge volume and discredited by the absurd and unbelievable details.
"Yes! Venus is inhabited, they are invading, and their ruling women made me their sex slave when they took me up in their ship!"
