Speaking of NAO, let's talk about later. I'll be back in Chi-Town the first two weeks of Sept. playing Grandpa. Maybe we could hook up for a brewsky.

If our conversation becomes stilted or uncomfortable IRL, or we find one another completely boring we could have a Go Button to end it quickly. Perhaps a signal that could be initiated by either party with no hard feelings.

Since we are old farts but "hip" I suggest something simple like this:

It was actually a typo. I meant 400. I meant that, not to make fun of him, but in a humourous way to say that it is hard not to notice his weight. It really must be problematic for him. The St. Hill size comment wass meant to imply he is still in. I don't take these jokes on the road first, you know.

I remember Paul being singled out in muster one time (possibly by Franks, possibly by Wisner) as spending all of his time trying to figure out how to get out of his SO contract. I always liked Paul, but didn't know him very well. And he was a large man.
 
Staff Contract and Your Bridge

I'm going to need your help one this one. If memory serves-you were promised for completing a 21/2 year contact=grade 4 and class 4. For a 5 year-here's were I get fuzzy-you get Clear and class 6. Now how many of you completed a contract and what did you get in return? Whose out exchange? And if you or the org didn't live up to it's obligations-what's to be done? And -how many paid the org off-for whatever? And how much?
 
You're right on the 2 1/2 year, and I think you're right on the 5 year but I'm not sure on that one. When I went on staff Skip Murgatroyd was routing off and trying to figure out how to get his training and auditing. I'm not sure what ever became of that, but if anyone is still in touch with him he should be able to tell you.

And I didn't live up to my obligations -- blew after 2 years -- and ended up paying off my freeloaders debt somewhere between 10 and 15 cents on the dollar. Billy Nichols gave me a call and offered to settle. At least I think I paid off my freeloaders.
 
I finished my 2 1/2 year contract, actually found a replacement (i hope he was smarter than me and left sooner), and wrote up my full hat!!! and the org owes me Grade 4 Class 4. I never saw any of that side of the commitment. So $cn owes ME about $40,000. :ripped:
Looking back, GEEZ, i was so naive, i really believed all that stuff. It was so IMPORTANT to live up to that agreement. All in all i don't regret those times, met some great people and had a lot of laughs. Glad i got out when i did :runaway:
 
Actually, in the early 1970s, we were promised that each week staff members received a credit towards their OT levels, depending on their weekly condition. The higher the condition, the higher the weekly credit. Each day HCO printed and distributed the OODs (orders of the day) and once a week it printed everyone's condition. Two guys, Joe Savikas and Bill Reeves, kept track every week, and I heard that they even wrote AOLA making sure they were being credited. When they finished their contracts they learned that they were not going to get the credit. Both were very upset. I think they were told they must have had missed withholds since they were upset.

I was never Class IV/V org staff, but I thought the idea was that the org could train/audit you (at no charge to you provided you completed your contract) up to the level it delivered, so for most places after 1978 or so that would be Class V or Grad V and through NED, but not usually CCRD. Plus Solo Part One. If you went to a higher org for training (at org expense), you signed a new 5 year contract on return to the lower org. OT levels etc. you could get at 50%.

In the 80's it transmogrified into "you are entitled to 2.5 hours enhancement a day." You had to be fully hatted on your post to be eligible for staff auditing.

Since most were moonlighting, it never happened. There were no posted staff auditors anyway....so if you were 'out-int' you were also 'shit out of luck'.

You also had to be in normal or above, so if you were left in the middle of a process and suddenly your stats were down, you'd be left there until such time as your stats were up, but then they'd have to find an auditor, and some public PC would have just taken a week off.....

Even when there were staff auditors, there was always a WDAHs crisis, y'know?
 
In many ways I feel lucky to NOT have all that staff auditing. Not because of any freeloader's debt (not gonna pay that anyhow) but because the amount of hypnotism and low level current was minimized on me. I did manage to attest to Natural Clear, Dianetics Clear w/DCSI and Sunshine RD, Key to Life and Life Orientation Courses before being declared an SP for refusing to stay and supervise the KTL course room at FCDC.

Oddly enough, I have not received auditing since 1990 and feel fine. Of course, I am not running on 3-4 hours sleep a night and poor nutrition like I did on staff. Maybe some of those "out int" symptoms were related to that?

Oh yeah, and I go to doctors for things like diabetes and high blood pressure rather than wait for some future OT level to possibly "cure" them.
 
I was always labelled PTS. I once got a papercut from a get-well card. LRH wrote me and asked me not to address any more mail to him. The SP-PTS had my picture on the cover. I was known as Scientology's first man of letters---A to J.

This thread has not been up front for awhile and needs to resume it's rightful place. Gordon B.Bell married Mary Lou who had several children-Lauren and David-does anyone know what happened to them and where they are now?
 
I spoke to him on the phone a few years back. He has found a meditation method he feels is "a gas, man".
