I suppose we all trim our reality sails pretty fine at times. And goodness knows most of the universe remains safely untouched by my understanding.

However, the exposure of a giant karmic circle, released through good Scientology auditing to wreak revenge on various misbegotten souls of earth while leaving others untouched-this concept takes my breath away, seriously.

Auditing can be very powerful. Good auditing can change realities. Bad auditing can wreak havoc. There is some connection, that I don't feel like getting into right this second, between auditing and empowered nastiness. See fo example: Reed Slatkin, some Scientology bozo bankers in the Texas based Savings and Loan scandal about 20 years ago, Dave M, the (corn) COB of current scio fame, etc.

Well then don't get into it. I agree the process of understanding can lead to unpleasantness, in my experience. What I am refering to are the mentions of karma and GOOD auditing and your connecting those operations with reprehensible results as a natural function of this universe.

I would put it this way. An imcomplete operation of understanding sticks one in that space of imcomplete understanding. That will be reality to that person. Since we are love and understanding being in that space will make for a less than understanding individual. Complete understanding is unlikely to do the same, but fact is there is no rule I'm aware of that decides who and what is nasty except one's own opinion. And love has many expressions.

personally, I've always enjoyed being hit by karma. It turns into a learning / clearing the air experience. i recommend it.

I would submit karma as commonly defined doesn't exist. Belief in it is counter-productive to understanding since it is a false creation one has to undo to see things the way they are. However believe as you will.

It is like shorthand. i, too, don't believe in karma. What is taking place, the way I see it is a raveling or unraveling of a client's GPM.

and GPMs, I have seen. Pretty much what LRH described on the solo course movie for grade 6 .

When he described in the movie what I had been telling auditors about for three years, it was a big "right item"

The exact URL

I can't find this for the life of me. Can you post an exact URL?

Carmel - Despite the fact I was a computer programmer, in my 20's, I am not that computer literate. One thing, I always get to ESMB by doing a Gogol search for the letters ex and ESMB comes up #1 and I click it. Coming in from Googol, I had no trouble using www.mrfire.com and getiing right to the place I wanted to be. I copied the exact URL from Vinnaire's post. It is as follows: http://forum.exscn.net/showpost.php?p=70804&postcount=1

I hope that does it for you, if not, enter ESMB through the Googol search engine and go to Vinnaires Oh God thread to the last page and click in from Vinnaire's site. It worked the first time for me, I don't see why you would have any trouble. If that doesn't work, you can go to Alan Walter's site and that should have it.

I woke up at 4:45, just took a sip of water and could not resist turning on my pc to see what was going on here. I saw about 10 posts going back and forth between you and Nexus 100. I have a 9:00 AM appointment out towards Long Beach and need more sleep, I am going back to bed for now. I imagine you are asleep yourself, living in the Pacific Standard Time Zone.

I was in Trader Joes yesterday and saw a woman who looked quite a bit like one of your earlier pictures. I did a double take and for a moment, got the idea that you were spying on me. It was a really eerie experience but I knew it was not you, runing a second body in pawn. By the way, I purchased Nexus 100's book, read it and got a lot out of it, it ties in quite nicely with the Hawaiin process which Alan linked to. I always enjoy exchanging ideas with Kevin, he is one of my favorite people to exchange posts with.

perhaps "she" was a hologram.

I had a great idea for a burglar alarm once. Instead of a loud alarm sound going off, instead a hologram of Rod Serling walks out and says, "good evening. Welcome to the Twilight Zone. Tonights story is about a burglar."

How Do You Move Specific Posts ?

I catch your drift and agree with your point. Blue Spirit says he will add more soon, and I recommended he add it over there. If he wants my participation, I will participate just as vigorously there as I would here. I am hoping he will move the discussion over there. You have done a lot to expand my thread so beyond the standard courtesy I would give to a suggestion from someone who posts here, I would give much more consideration to your ideas and requests than that since you have been sort of co hosting this website for a while now.

Don't worry, on that score, I am fully of the Jack Benny school of sharing the limelight rather than LRH's school of not allowing anyone else to share it with him. I aware that you have pitched in and helped me out and I really appreciate your efforts!

Fine on moving it, as I'm not too disciplined in posting in the RIGHT place.

I don't have a clue how to do it.

Do we specify a series of post numbers and get the Moderator to do it ?

Please go ahead and do it, I'm going back to sleep.

Carmelo help me out please!

I know that to transfer Blue Spirit's interchange with me over to Roger B.'s thread we gave to do a cut and paste operation but I've never done one here. Can someone tell me the steps here or in a PM and I'll take care of it.
If someone does it, please be very explicit with each step if you would.

Lakey

I would not transfer anything. Just post an opinion, a question, etc. I'll be back on line tonight. I really think the answers are had by the subjects in Roger's thread. I'm more than happy to put my 2 cents worth in.

Not sure about 'definition', but, as commonly used 'karma' is one of these airy fairy 'The Secret' or 'pay it forward' bits of mumbo jumbo. And, patently false when applied to a single 'life' and insubstantial when used in a 'reincarnation' theme.

However, as a pure *observation* it's pretty easily states as 'Karma means that the more you're involved in life, the more life's involved in you'.

No good or bad 'karma'; just involvement.

I also think that it doesn't exist as commonly defined, but at a very very deep level in the psyche, there is a part of us that selects those experiences that we need to grow and perfect ourselves. That could be called Karma or whatever other name you like. Karma just means action. If we need a quick blast of something to help us learn that it isn't nice to do 'bad' things, we create for ourselves an uncomfortable wake up call. Similarly, when we perform actions that are loving and supportive of ourselves and others, we create the same in return. One thing is for sure: bad actions bring pain in some form or another. Karma is just a word, but the mechanics are sound. When you look at it that way it increases understanding - as long as you realise that it is you who creates and delivers your experiences and their consequences. None of this is cast in stone, and a lot of randomness just is.

Smila E - I find your post very interesting. The first line which I underlined above is extremely interesting to me. Is this just an observation which you originated from your own experiences or or is this a principle you picked up somewhere else. If its the later, could you direct me to your source. The examples you give lend meaning to your theory.

It seems to me, that I have something going on inside of me which is operating in this matter. I'll be hearing a talk radio program while driving and out of nowhere, I will get the urge to turn to a classical music station and when I turn the station, something has just started playing which is one of my favorites or if I turn to PBS something I was always curious ut is being discussed and its secretes are being revealed. It is uncanny how often this happens to me. I don't know what it is. I thought of several choices, one was that it was a circuit, two was that it was an entity, three was that it is just random chance and fourth is that it is a part of the mind which selects things which I need to know to help me grow, as per your statement above. I opted for number four and named this part of me, "My Sentinnel". It has been quite active lately and quite accurate in chosing only good things and now when it happens, I send an intention thanking it for doing good work. I fully agree with your conclusions which I underline above as well.

Its too bad you were not around participating on Vinaire's thread "Oh!God!!, you would have been a very good participant. Are you familiar with the ho' oponopono process which arose in Hawaii. Vinaire just posted it yesterday, apparently it was called to his attention by Alan Walters? I read it yesterday and I feel it has tremendous potential to better lives and conditions very rapidly if it works anywhere near as well as claimed. It aligns quite well with your post above as well as Nexus' book. I left the web address and full URL above for Carmelo, a few posts back. Check it out, I'd like to hear your reactions as well as those of any others who care to comment.

history is in the small details

This morning on LA radio, K Earth 101, Gary Bryan was interviewing Stevie Wonder. Stevie was talking about Michael Jackson. It was a look that you don’t get from People magazine or Inside Edition.

I really like histories from insiders.

I’ve audited a number of minor figures from history ie. Mary Surratt, who was the first woman hung by the US government for complicity in the Abe Lincoln murder, and some Nazi dude, who was convicted at Nuremberg. It’s pretty cool seeing the background of history.

I think this thread has given scope and background info to those who came much later, when the cult had fucked with everyone's minds. It has given a lot of little details about attitudes and societal realities.

I don't believe this place is structured quite that way, but I agree our growth steps are immediately available.

Nexus - What's your take on Ho'oponopono

Hi Nexus! How's it going? You never weighed in with any comment of the Ho'oponopono process that Vinaire and Alan Walters were touting? That model of the universe is based on the statement, "There is no out there!" This implies that everything in your universe is created by you. To improve the universe you just work on improving yourself. If you do that, then everybody else in your universe and everything else in your universe will improve. The philosophy does not stop anyone else from looking deeper or continually doing look / create but it may inhibit looking deeper or it may not. Certainly if there is no "out there" then looking is limited to looking within yourself but you can still look deeper into yourself. Please give your take on this subject.

ANNOUNCEMENT TO THREAD MEMBERS
Loyal readers of this thread - One thing this thread is missing is the beginning of the Org, CCLA. My story starts in Fall of 1970 but I believe CCLA opened up in Spring of 1969. I was not there then and I want to be filled in on what happened that first year and a half and then add it to my story. Me, Carlmelo, Blue Spirit and a couple others are creating history here by recording a complete history of CCLA in its earliest days.

I DON'T WANT THE ORIGIN OF CCLA TO BE TOTALLY MISSING FROM MY STORY. ITS LIKE HAVING A BIBLE WITHOUT THE GENISIS STORY IN IT. I DEMAND THE STORY BE TOLD HERE SOMEHOW, BY HOOK OR BY CROOK! It has been suggested that I contact Nancy Many and Rae who know everyone from the old days. Mark my words, the story of the first 1 1/2 years will appear here soon so stay tuned.

Trials and Tribulations of Writing a Meaningful Thread.

In a recent PM, I was discussing with Carmelo what it takes to write a meaningful thread which generates high interest among both younger and older ESMB members plus draws people from outside of ESMB and outside of Scientology.

Carmelo responded one should post for a broad audience and not just "in" jokes! I wanted to respond to Carmelo's statement but I thought the topic was universal enough that my reply should be a regular post and not a PM. With that in mind, my reply to her is as follows:

Carmelo, "the proof is in the pudding." People love humor but if the humor is done just to show off or "be interesting" people will sense it. They might laugh but they probably won't return for that person's writings on a regular basis. I think my travails as a rank and file staff with some above average mental capabilities and a desire to serve someone who I perceived had helped me, reached a broad audience on ESMB and actually spread out to other forums. A broad audience was available to enjoy that type of thread. However, there are many threads of that type all over the internet.

When we introduced our humor, started by my favorite eateries, and then really ramped up by your participation, the humor was relavent to our main topic and not just an attempt to be interesting.

We touched on a great comedian in Jack Benny and his humor. Jack was very popular for decades and set bars in humor which are timeless. This must have also caught on, I would imagine a lot of the younger readers probably Googled Jack Benny or watched clips of him on you tube to see what we were talking about.

I agree with you that if you are going to do something, do it well. Professionalism is a good thing. That was one valid thing which LRH stressed. On the other hand, doing something to outdo another writer or for self aggrandizement is aberated.

If we stick with my original goal of telling people what happened along my path through Scientology, expand my story to a broader base, which was done successfully, and intrduce humor of a subtle and timeless nature into the mix, which has also been done successfully, I agree with you that there is still much to write on this thread. Sweetness and light urged me to press on and she was never even in Scn. I followed her advice and it paid off.

Now you are saying to keep going, not at all to outdo other threads and websites but to continue an historical record which needs to be told. I will take your advice.

On your last post, it appears I am 10 years or so older than you and I just missed being in the hippy era. By the time it really got going, I was in my early 20's and my personna was already established. I followed the values of my parents, got a job in aerospace, wore a coat and tie to work every day , kept my hair short, etc.

Five or six years later, young people reacted against the culture which I had accepted. Your intellctual and academic achievements are very impressive. Also, it appears that you were in that group of rebels and hippylike people who reacted violently against the status quo of that time.

Most of the staff at CCLA were in your age group and thought of me as very conservative. I was appreciated for my honesty and straightforwardness but I was not like they were. I read many of the authors which you told me you had read but did not start reading heavily until I was 25 or 26. What did you think of Ayn Rand? I was heavily swayed by her and shifted from liberal Democrat to a Republican after reading her. I was turned on to Ayn Rand by a girl at work who was Mormon and who I had a crush on. Let's discuss this some more directly on the board and not in PM's.
