A postulate fullfilled!
I am beginning to feel that there is nothing so joyous as making a postulate, sometimes without even noticing you have done so, and then seeing that postulate come to fruition.
CCLA 30 year and 35 year Anniveresary Magazines
I was still active in C of S in 2000, taking courses at my local Org and believing in Scientology and LRH completely. One day, I received in the mail a thick magazine celebrating the 30th anniversary of the founding of Celebrity Centre. I eagerly read the full mag, looking for signs of some of the old friends I knew and interested in reading what the big name celebrities had to say and what newer celebrities were on lines. I assumed a story of Yvonne Jentzsch would appear with a picture somewhere in the magazine. To my dismay and disbelief, I could not find one mention of her name in the entire mag.
When the 2005 issue came celebrating CC's 35th year, the magazine was even thicker. I had quit going to courses now for 3 1/2 years and also stopped attending events but I was more inactive than actually out. I eagerly began reading the 35th anniversary issue, looking to see if the failure to mention Yvonne, which I thought was an oversight had been caught and corrected. I got to a historical section, which the 30 year mag did not have and thought, thank goodness, Yvonne's name will be mentioned. I remember just rwo short sentences, one sentence said that CC was Ron's brainchild and the other said DM had a hand in developing Ron's brainchild and was the prime factor in creating CC International. This did not seem true to me. I knew Yvonne was already active in trying to set up CC Las Vegas and CC New York and a CC in Portland, Oregon was already established (no, I don't know either why anyone would open one up in Portland). Most of the celebrities there were lumber jacks. I believe CC Paris might have started under Yvonne's watch as well. DM seemed to be taking credit for something he was not involved in very much. Something smelled fishy. I called Kathy Garcia, the CCLA registrar who was already there in 1971 when I first joined the S.O. I asked Kathy if Yvonne had been declared and Kathy said, "Heavens no, why do you ask." I told her about the outpoint I observed in the magazines and she said that Yvonne used to have a statue in the entry and an office kept for her, but during their last move, those things got unmocked. She said that a lot of time has passed and not many old timers still remember Yvonne so though she should have appeared in the mag, she was left out probably because the younger people putting together the mag did not know about her. I found this explanation absurd, after all George Washington is still being celebrated after 230 years so why would CC's founder not be known after only 30 years and only 22 years after Yvonne's passing. Kahy suggested I write something to the editor of the mag and said a pleasant good bye to me.
Right there, I decided that somebody should write the story of how Celebrity Center was started and that it should be part of the public record. I felt defiant that if the church did not have enough gratitude to honor the founder of CC after only 30 years of CC existence and only 22 years since Yvonne's passing, then SOMEBODY should write the story and that SOMEBODY would write the story eventually.
THAT SOMEBODY TURNED OUT TO BE ME - A VERY UNLIKELY POSSIBILITY!
I did not postulate who would write the story. When I got to ESMB this February, I wanted to tell my story and since I served at both CC and the Apollo, I thought the Apollo story would interest the board members much more than the CC story would. I figured not too many people would be on ESMB from the old Apollo and that since LRH was onboard, my story would find a wide audience. The story was well written and moderately successful but died out after about 3 weeks. I got 45 replies to the story, all favorable and also several PMs.
IN OCTOBER I WANTED TO POST MORE AND THOUGHT OF ADDING THE CCLA STORY AS A PREQUEL TO THE APOLLO STORY. The CC story grabbed a bigger audience right away. Part of it was due to my writing style improving plus I had learned some tech on how to host a thread. I wrote everything that I could think of having to do with my experience at CCLA and branched out to anything remotely connected to life at the old Orgs in L.A. in the 70's. I could think of nothing more to write and a couple of people made major contributions which helped me. About 3 weeks ago, I began getting a burning desire to add some opening chapters on how CC got started. I first went to an event there in August of 1970 and took my first class there and got my first session there in Oct of 1970 BUT THE ORG HAD STARTED IN EARLY 1970 AND HOW WOULD I EVER FILL IN THE MISSING KNOWLEDGE WHICH I NEEDED TO TELL THE BEGINNING OF MY STORY? There was not much if anything about how the Centre got started on the internet. I had remembered something Capain Bill had written on his Freezone sight about Yvonne's misstion to rescue the fledling AOLA and I beleive Flo Barnett may have mentioned something in passing about Yvonne starting CC. Also, while CC Program's Chief on the Apollo, I was made to listen to an LRH tape where he described Yvonne as attending an earlier lecture he made about CCLA and "running with the ball" when she was out in L.A. and starting a new CC out of a drawer of a filing cabinet she had while being C.O.of AOLA.
SUDDENLY I KNEW I WAS THE SOMEBODY WHO WOULD WRITE THE STORY. I made the decision that I would write the story and that the missing data would be in my possession in about 3 weeks. You have to realize that I am an unlikely candidate to write this story. My God, I was only a director in the Treasury division, I was not very well connected and was not an insider or part of the elite at the Centre. Evem so, the information was in my possession in exactly three weeks, it came from TONTO mentioned in my post. To tell how TONTO and I got connected or in a way reconnected, would require another very long post. Needlessl to say, I postulated that I would have the story in my possession and write the story in three weeks and I did!
OT ABILITIES? Comparing my postulates made in 2005 that somebody would write Yvonne's story and put it in the public record and 3 weeks ago that I would be that somebody and would have the data in my hands in exactly three weeks and then post the story is an enormous achievment and win for me When talking about OT abilities, I would prefer this by far as an OT ability compared to having the ability of moving matter by my intention only with no physical assist or being able to see through a solid wall.
COMBINING POSTULATES - In achieving this incredible and remarkable win, I feel the postulates of others in my space sharing this win with me. Yvonne herself may have postulated that her devotion to LRH and Celebrity Center should be her legacy and should not be forgotten, and even if she did not then for sure so many of her admirers, friend and family members did make this postulate and never stopped creating it.
Having a pro survival postulate made which aligns with the postulates of many other people of good will and then bringing that postulate to fruitiion is about as good as it gets. I am so blown away and happy about this project and its success that words can barely express my elation. What is the demonstration of bending spoons, moving or seeing through objects and such compared to one setting a worthy goal and achieving it by himself and with his energies, talents and what appears to be luck but is just the postulates working and the best win of all is the self esteem one gets and how one feels about oneself for pulling off a caper of this type. This is an OT ability achieved and demonstrated. Now, I know that I am not a nobody, I am not a dime a dozen but I am me and I am OT! The brillance of the Arthur Miller play Death of a Salesman is brought home. The aging salesman, Willy Loman, pleads and asserts to his young boss who is firing him and keeps repeating the assertion that he is not a dime a dozen. Willy knew he was somebody but no one of importance would take him seriously. Once one proves to himself that he is somebody by bringing in a powerful postulate or two to fruition then he knows he is not a dime a dozen, that he has proved it and that it matters not if any else agrees, his own certainty is all the agreement he needs.
