Use of the Correct Category Will Be Enough

Hmmm... I have to learn the forum better first. A little every day. But thank you for the idea.

Do you really think I should? I wouldn't know where to start. So far I was only reacting to cues. Would it not be seen as a counter intention to the board's main direction?
.

Heidrun, I'll check into the Independents category and if what I want isn't there I'll start it.

What I've observed is that sometimes important posts get lost in threads

where the title would not be appropriate for the post, so it is lost to most.

Your background and real OT interests and abilities deserved their own thread.

As for S & L, I'm a pedal-to-the-metal kind of guy, so get out of my way.

Actually time here is running out fast, but most ignore that as unconfrontable.

Moving on!

LOL! "Yes sir!" *Adroitly getting out of Blue Spirit's Way*

While it's true that time and tide stand still for no-one, I think it's also true that you can't push the river...:duck: :D

Blue, you make sense, Take a Bow! Basically, you are giving her Straight Talk. I could argue a little bit in the other direction but my heart wouldn't be in it. She needed a quick Instant -Hat which S & L supplied (I seconded it). S & L should get credit for the Instant Hat and Now Heidrun should do what you say. The other side of the coin would be that we are currently getting around 700 views a day while if a newbie starts a new thread, the reponse could be only 1/10th as much, depending on how interesting the title of her thread is.

Even then, as you point out, everyone one of the people who land on her thread will be looking to read her views on a subject they are interested in. Those of us with a track record of starting and participating on threads and are thus currently better known will go to her thread and start posting replies and right away and her viewership will start to expand. If she stays here, then a lot of the viewers will skim right over her stuff and get to the posts from the people they are looking for so the APPARENT benefit of higher readership may be just that, an apparency.

BLUE SPIRIT IS PROVED RIGHT AGAIN AND TAKES A BOW, S & L gets an "ack" for her assist, Heidrun becomes Source of her own ideas instead of riding on someone else's coat tails and Lakey, well Lakey, he loses a little readership but he doesn't care, he now has a protege out there who will always remember his thread fondly as the place where she first started. What could be better than a game where everyone wins and all due to the impetus of the clever minded Blue Spirit.

This is total BS.

This thread is getting about 700 hits a day. What Blue is suggesting is to go play in the minor leagues.

The Apollo thread ended talking about the Apollo before I even started reading it. This thread doesn't have the anti scio crowd. It has literate, knowledgeable communicators. It is being read for who is writing, not the topic that is listed.

Wake up and redefine the thread perhaps, or don't change anything, in any event, get a clue.

blue,

The Clue Train has left the station, and you weren't on it. Lakey you are flat ass wrong.

As Santa might say, "shoot your eye out kid."

Counter intention is mandatory on ESMB. Keeps us from falling over on our faces.

Everything is All Right

Hey guys, Heidrun can keep posting and following here, and also start her own thread eventually elsewhere, when she's ready. It's not an either or proposition...

I think she likes being here with us, of all the threads she could have broken out of her shell as a new chick on ESMB, she picked ours! I think that's pretty special :happydance:

Don't scare her off or make her think she has to go somewhere else to talk about the tech, or anything else. She's just learning here, like we all are.

It's an ongoing conversation...:) just let it be that.

Carmelo, do I have to come over there and hold your coat? :whistling:

:D

It's a simple proposition, my Dear Lakey,

Some folks succeed at whatever they do . . . even if they have to persist like all bloody hell and have to fight to overcome the irrational obstacles put there by the idiot types to do so!

Some fail at what they attempt . . . some even fail so very easily as to be shameful. :nervous: :confused2:

Many easily go into betraying their first findings of truth, reverse themselves and go into hatred against what they formerly had found to be worthwhile. This is the "power split" I referred to in my Pasadena FZ presentation. :omg: :bigcry:

Some, of course, criticize that of which they have no personal experience but only "read about." :duh:

If one is into winning, it doesn't matter that LRH was a con  You take any advantage and benefit you can find, win with it, and trash the rubbish and the fraudulent. So he was a con-job . . . and life is unfair . . . so what?!? Are you into winning, or not? Can you win, or not? That is the issue.

It one is into being a loser-victim, one goes into all the bad, bad, bad to dramatize all the harm done to one and bleat about how unworkable or a fraud it all is.

Sorry to be so blunt about it, but Hubbard did say something right that applies here . . . "you know them by their product."

So why listen to or be bothered by the prattle of the loser-victims or the pontificating "authorities" who've never been involved nor had any personal experience in the area? That is a sure as hell a way to give yourself aggravation.

My daddy gave me some good advice when I was a young fella. "Rog," he said, "Don't listen to idiots, and sure as hell don't argue with idiots."

Now all the above will be a little unfair to some folks here because they truly did not get a correct or good exposure to the "tech," and either got screwed or otherwise butchered by idiot practitioners cum org practices . . . that is unfortunate, as they were denied the opportunity to win with what is worthwhile in the tech. But that does not deny there is some workable stuff there, and elsewhere, that one can use and win with!

It is idiotic beyond belief that one starts out with an ideal that one wants to achieve, only to drop it or reverse one's position on one's own truth and wants because of collision with some idiots.

If one were to listen to the idiots of the universe, one would never do anything, as it is all "so bad, wrong, evil, pointless and unattainable" to them!

Them's my words on the subject this fine Boxing Day . . . and now I'm off to catch up on the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race . . . now, that's something that's positive and for "winners" in the game of life!

Quite Right, mate.

Appreciate your spelling it all out and you said it so well.

Very Brilliant in fact! Happy Boxing Day to you!

I divorced two guys after 9 years each. Then a sweet angel came to Austria from Canada, Paul Smith, http://www.sgmt.at/Paul/LifeInAustria.htm .

I lost him after 9 years (never, never would I have divorced HIM).

It was his fixed idea that all my marriages last 9 years. What can I say to that postulate??? He proved it! Does anyone want to prove it wrong?

I'm so sorry for your loss. Marriages certainly can last longer. Yours could too.

Hey, I got to wear a hat and didn't know it! :D Thanks for the ack! :happydance:

Thanks, Lakey, I just remember how lost I felt when I first joined, after having lurked for awhile. A few gentle pointers went a long way to helping me feel at home here. I bumbled around and learned, but some people weren't very nice to me at times, and I think people need encouragement in life, it's part of my Zeitgeist as a teacher! :)

I should add Heidrun, that some members who have a blog, website or book to sell, etc. put the link down in their signature line, which you can edit from your profile page, I think. That way it appears wherever you go, following like your shadow :D Take a look at Nexus or DullOldFart.

Thanks for the tip about the movie, guys, I want to see it, but think I am going to see Avatar next. Either IMAX or 3-D version. I heard it's terrific. You know me, as an artist, I'm into visuals! Visio is my favorite perceptic! :D

Avatar was absolutely wonderful and I enjoyed it immensely. I hope you do too. Planning to go back to see it again when back in Cali.

Shelock Holmes was terrific. Having read the full canon by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and seen the Basil Rathbone series dozens of times, this is vintage Holmes. Guy Ritchie directed. The sets and effects are marvelous. Welcome to England 100 + years ago.

Like Supermanand Batman, have become, this is a darker Holmes, yet true to Conan Doyle. It was delicious.

This is very true. That last sentence is powerful !!!

Wake up and redefine the thread perhaps, or don't change anything, in any event, get a clue.

blue,

The Clue Train has left the station, and you weren't on it. Lakey you are flat ass wrong.

I like the Clue Train line, very nice metaphor. Easy does it, Carmelo, This is me, Lakey....Good thing I had my service fac run out! Otherwise this boxing day Roger and Purp are talking about wouldn't be over until after our match.

As Santa might say, "shoot your eye out kid."

Carmelo, I think because Roger B. made such as brilliant post with his "Don't argue with idiots." posting, you felt you had to write a brilliant post too. Well, you have succeeded in doing so and made me see the error of my ways. There is a little something I need to PM you about that might calm you down.

Part of the internet is not being able to see the intent behind a post.

I was completely light hearted and friendly. I talked to you as I talk to my friends, straight.

I've never been diplomatic.

Are you going to PM me a prescription for some ludes?

Carmelo shoots from the hip!

I like the smileys, even though they are really silly, because they do help to convey our intent just a little bit more. But it is a flawed system for communicating, so it's good to cut each other some slack where needed. I know I really appreciate it when people do that for me, if my intent hasn't been clear.

No harm, no foul, NO FISTICUFFS! I'm a pacifist, remember? No boxing on Boxing day, you guys! :D

Don't worry, Lakey doesn't do drugs! :p

(We need a peace sign smiley)
