Has anyone ever worked at the Fort Harrison or another somewhat regular job in Scientology? I don't know why, but I was thinking about what life in a Sci job is probably like (never had one myself) recently. I can understand how people in more sci specific type of jobs (FSM, auditor, etc) get wrapped up in it all and stay, but what about basic jobs. For example, if I'm a maid, front desk clerk, waitor or valet at the FH, why would I stay? Especially if I had a college degree or a better job prior to Scientology? I don't get it unless they are just so convinced that their job is also helping to clear the planet.

Good question. Does everyone necessarily have stats? I guess on the upside if you're the maid the chances of having an all night work-a-thon is probably low because what emergency could possibly arise?

Even if your stats are up, they could still call an all-hands for BMO of some such thing and you would still end up working all noght and working your regular post in the morning.

I know at the Manor at CC, the waitstaff and hotel staff would have stats based on the little forms filled out rating them. I was told by someone with the Freewinds tour that the girl who sang--her stat was the length of applause. We were always given the old saw about how the lowliest of janitors in the SO was more competent and outranked any CEO on the planet because their capabilities and purpose were so high. Why do they stay? Brainwashing sounds like a good answer...

Your last part of your last sentence pretty much says it all. It was the reason they joined, too. Very sad.

That would be a freaky GREAT thread!!! Do it clamicide, I beg you!

STATS FROM HELL!

example:

STAT OF FREEWINDS CHEF: Gross number of the ship's toilet flushes. (indicating expanding volume of food being consumed and outflowed).

Have you ever had a job where you looked forward to the day you would leave? It's like that.

OK.I'll tell you. I worked for a few weeks in FH and a few month in Yatsmen motel and Mariner. When I worked in FH I was still was on EPF and the houskeeper who was there told me that she helps public to be more key out.
When a public don't have to think about cleanning his mest,he has more time for auditing and when he comes to the clean room after session it helps him to be uptone

There was a housekeeper in Yatsmen Hotel. She had a degree in Biology.
Ii think, she got promoted later. There is sometimes a chance to get promoted if in your post you keep your stats up

Flag Crew have many jobs that a little odd.
I had a friend whose job was to stand all day by John Travolta's roomm and
to make sure everybody shuts up and tiptoes around because he could not soloaudit in a noisy place.
Flag Crew people work very hard. I'll tell you. Harder than FSO stuff.
And thety have to be fully hatted first before they start at least a little training. Some officers in FC was there for many years and did not moved at all casewise
