I like Superpowers!
I'd like to become Spiderman.

Can $cn make me one?
If there are any Abilities that will make me closer to one, I'll buy it. (For a reasonable price, of course)

It's a miracle!
No; it's a confabulation.
No; it's a placebo.
No; it's an implant hiding the PDH Psych treatment he received in the hospital.

Oh shut up Zinj.

Its a real story. You don't accept it as such you fuck your
own credibility.

Zinj' credibility is fine.

But speaking of f__king one's own credibility, here's your associate recommending the latest CoS sanctioned PR-damage-control (by way of "religious scholars")-effort: http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthread.php?p=437698 - The same batch of "religious scholars" cited by the CofS to the Australian Inquiry.

My hinky-o-meter hasn't readjusted since that bit of weirdness. Check out the bold print in the post, used to create a false sense of security.

What's up with that?

WHY SCIENTOLOGISTS DON'T JUST WALK AWAY WHEN IT BECOMES MORE THAN OBVIOUS THAT THERE ARE NO SUPERNATURAL POWERS, NO OTs AND NO CLEARs...[/QUOTE

They DO WALK AWAY.. this is why people stop going up the bridge, after Clear or OT*, whatever.. maybe they come here to ESMB..... or mor often, just quietly leave (slip out the back, Jack)

The funny thing is, I experienced more paranormal pehenomenon before I was in than I ever did while I was in. Isn't that a hoot? The church actually suppressed my abilities.

I had a remarkably similar experience but am not sure how to explain it....

I also had a severe crash a few weeks ago. Doctors informed me it was actually just a bad hangover.

Like the husband in the story above, I vowed that I would never drink again.

Thereafter, I did not receive any Book I Auditing.

Nonetheless.....I am going out to meet the same friends tonight to party again.

Does this mean that I am being telepathically audited by an independent, anonymous pro-bono auditor?

This is a first for me....uhhh, Terril, do they typically send a telepathic bill later?

That is true. I'm sure you can become physically fit by crawling a few miles a day, but it would make far more sense to walk or run a few miles a day instead. There is no point in crawling through life with Scientology, or at least I haven't been able to see the point in doing so.

I like your analogy:thumbsup:

Spacing, alphabetical and numerical listing added:

A) Superpowers are not universally developed with scn.

B) Strange unexplainable phenomena have occurred, but I don't think these are exclusive to scn.

C) Going exterior to the body is a relatively common occurrence with scientology auditing.

D) However many years ago on a critical forum OCMB, many critics who have never been scientologists apparently experienced such also, but I don't believe it as common as with scn.

E) Changes in ability to handle life are readily obtained with scn and dianetics.

F) The "Freezone success stories" thread here have many examples. These can border on what people might see as magical.

1) I'll give an example that I recently heard from a friend who was a beginning inexperienced book 1 auditor.

2) Husband was in a severe moter crash.

3) Later in that day he told his company and his wife he would never drive again.

4) The wife did a couple of hours of book 1, and the husband recalled hearing
after the accident someone say " he'll never drive again".

5) He was probably unconcsious when this was said to him. In other words an engram.

6) Next day he went back to his job of driving trucks.

http://www.forum.exscn.net/showpost.php?p=441529&postcount=14

The poster, to whom the above was a response, was responding to an other who had mentioned the 'PDC' lectures. http://www.forum.exscn.net/showpost.php?p=441378&postcount=5 And that he had conducted a test that made it clear that "this stuff works."

I thought of those lectures, and Hubbard's discussion of beams came to mind. And, in deed, if anyone has ever stood on a balcony and stared at someone below, and had the person suddenly turn around and look up, having "felt" something coming from a particular direction, one can relate to the idea of "beams."

Expanding the topic of auditing animals to seemingly telepathic interaction with animals, a while ago I was observing a street fair from the third story of a building, and below me was a large dog on a leash with it's owner, surrounded by hundreds of people mulling about. I surveyed the area for a while, and no one was aware of me, yet, after focusing my attention - in a concentrated "beam" (a pressor beam to be exact) - towards the dog, whom I was above, the dog instantly looked up and directly at me.

If I had been a Scientologist, I would have regarded this an validation of the tech, a validation of LRH, and would have bristled in anger at any "wog" or "SP" that might have dared to "invalidate" it.

As it was, I noticed the occurrence, which was, apparently a relay of energy between me in my body to the the mind of and body of an animal, who was sensitive as animals sometimes are. Interesting phenomena, but not necessarily proof that "Scientology works."

One difficulty with the more PR conscious Scientologists, preoccupied as they are with presenting "acceptable truths" to the less than Scientologically enlightened humanoids, is that they're caught between (attempted) clever (PR) handlings of said humanoids and the deep conviction that their own survival and well being, and the survival and well being of "every man, woman, and child for the next endless trillions," depends on Scientology.

There's an element of s_t_e_s_s, and it pops out now and then.

Ok every one just slow down a we bit.

I have read all the post's and followed all the links that have been provided, sure I have not read all that was behind those links. I personaly believe that there is nothing evil there, well not if taken with a grain of salt and an inquiring mind that is free to doubt.

I think that Student of Trinity may have seen the nail and and used it's head.

I realise that this is a extremely touchy subject to many, to some well they have been there done that and can smile and not be hurt by the past.

So basically every one has said that there is no such thing as "powers" that can be achieved by using lrh tech. Some have said that they have experienced situations that they can not explain. EH the human mind is an electro chemical marvel.

Got a question:

What brings one to even pursue SUPERpowers if he hasn't learned how to use more than 10% of his Natural powers? (You know, the innate ones, the ones he is given by Nature)
