"I told you I was trouble" - Nice to have you post here

Read the book named The Missionary position (by Christopher Hitchens) ... but be warned, it may 'surprise' you.

:eyeroll:

Hey, "I told you...", what a pleasant surprise to have you post here. Your Avatar reminds me of the old movie, "The Bad Seed" but when one reads you and reads between the lines, he/she finds you are actually a good seed. I will definitely check out the book you are recommending.

A Dog Prodigy!

This heartwarming vid is for all of us for whom life has taken a few unexpected twists and turns:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGODurRfVv4

:happydance:!!!

That dog has more smarts and more Ethics Presents than many people I've met. What a lovable fellow. He's probably an Ex Scientologist who decided to take a little break from being human and decided that he would be a dog for a while. What a cute little character he is. So much joy for life, so much fun, so smart!

Here is a quick little, and I hope meaningful, post on the subject of John McMaster.

John should be honored. He is a wonderful Being . . . and I know that for a fact, and intimately.

For the record, I have to state that John was one of the "wards" I had to "handle" and keep an eye on when I was "operating for the old B1." See my thread on this here: http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthread.php?t=11823

I of course knew John when we were both in good standing and when we both had "stellar" reputations in the orgs.

So it was easy to continue with him when I was undercover as a bad boy.

John personally told me he was the historical figure now known as Jesus Christ, and I will tell you that in duplicating that communication, as delivered and when in communion and harmony with the Being, I can only say it resonated with me as correct and true.

I have seen John do some astounding things. He is actually an incredibly powerful Being . . . but the trick is his power is not brute force. It does not hit as a ton of bricks. It is as a flow of pure beauty and love that permeates you and influences you . . . and believe me, I have watched him move people with it!

Love as it happens is, as he expressed it, his hot item. It is his most important item. Alan Walter correctly lists Love as one of the "Pillars of Spiritual Power." (I'll probably post on that one of these days . . . hang in there FoTi :D This is an important subject.)

So yes, JM was a "fairy" . . . gay, and as a human in that lifetime, a homosexual. I have no angst on any of that, it is not my scene, and while I think it is less than optimum, I do not condemn nor criticize it in others.

Humans can often be stuck in imagery and dramatizations, and practices, they come to accommodate, for whatever reasons, that are actually carry forwards of long ago higher level spiritual practices. And, as processors, it is wrong to criticize or condemn the conditions we find our clients/PCs in. Our job is to understand and to help them, in their own view and estimation, to upgrade and optimize there lives.

The tragedy is that Hubbard betrayed him, waged war on him, and vilified him . . . even as John worked to honor Hubbard and and spread the technology we all once believed in.

This, of course, has a catastrophic effect/impact on any sane and decent Being. It probably broke John's heart . . . . for remember, Love was John's item. And along with love goes, honor, truth, appreciation, harmony of relationships and understanding and all those fine things of human (and spiritual) nature that Hubbard so routinely violated and trashed.

The tragedy of this is that a Being can flip into the negative . . . they trigger into the Power Split, change polarity and spiritual vector and become quite negative. And the consequence of this is that they end up on a fast track of decline and succumb.

When John was trashed by Hubbard, two things happened. Of course he ended up bitter toward "Fatty" Hubbard due to the enormous BPC generated (What a betrayal it must have felt to John.) The other thing was that John reverted to what he knew best in order to survive and earn a living . . . he reverted to the tech and processing. His error in my view was in selling and running the Clearing Course on people in the field. He actually ran it in session on PC's with him as a auditor. You can list the violations in this, I don't need to.

He'd have been wiser to have simply run superlative processing of non-confidential stuff, and won at that.

However, that's by the by. The church waged war on him . . . we are all familiar with that syndrome. My job was to keep tabs on him and what he was up to . . . mainly in the context of misuse, dissemination of, the confidential materials. Others had other duties vis a vis "handling" John.

You have read above that John died of cirosis of the liver induced by alcoholic consumption. It is true. John was a heavy whiskey drinker when I knew him after he fell out with the CofS. And I can tell you factually, as I have mentioned before, I was told by the B1 operative that the operative's intent and assignment was to engage John in excessive drinking with the specific purpose of killing him off . . . John also had stomach ulcers which the excessive consumption of alcohol was intended to complicate. This "assignment objective/action" I did not know of at the time . . . it was revealed to me by the operative some time after the events.

So, I write this as a salute to John McMaster. (It turned out a little longer that I envisioned.)

John McMaster, RIP my Dear. You are a worthy friend to anyone wise enough to accept you as such. RIP.

this was one nice write up. after I read it, it was so quiet in my space, that you could hear a mouse pee on a blotter.

I just don't know.

What a tapestry of human emotions and actions.

What a waste

I really thank you for this write up.

I had thought that he had been JC, but I had never heard a story of his saying that to anyone. This little bit of writing by you needs to be saved for posterity.

The implications are obviously far reaching.

RIP? My bet is he's got a new identity and is working on improving his game. After all he died in the '70s, or was it the '80s. He/she could easily be "up and at 'em" now.

Mark A. Baker

Yes, this is in order. I nearly wrote Fare thee well but "convention" kicked in. I had a tear in my eye as I wrote the final passages.

I was writing more of the past than of the present. He is "up and at 'em again." :D

Okay, Blip, I read it!

If any of you super star sparkling theta particles are genuinely interested in learning how Scientology damages cognitive functioning, you can't go past Robert Devine's Declaration in support of the Headley's case, which is linked to here:

http://www.forum.exscn.net/showthread.php?t=19232

. . . should be compulsory reading for exes.

Okay Blip, I read it, the versiion linked to in Sweetness's post right after yours. I must tell you that when I found out it was a Psychologist's (PHD no less) Declaration, I immediately was skeptical and assumed his Deposition or Declaration might have some good information but would be written through the perspective of Psychology, which I still considered as a pseudo science built on the false datum that man is brain based and has no spirit.

Actually, in fact, I found Levine's article to be factual, very objective and very thoroughly and professionally written. He wrote it very objectively, it is a learned and honest article and is done in the spirit of supplying a Court necessary truths, on the plaintiffs' behalves.

I saw that I still have some carry over from my 31+ years in Scientology having to do with the subject of Psychology. I assumed that one with a PHD in Psychology wouldn't be a clear, objective thinker and Mr. Levine showed me to be 100% wrong.

As a side issue, my daughter, against my wife's and my own advice declared psychology to be her major at U.C. Santa Barbara in her junior year and now has her Bachelor's Degree in psychology which I found to very disappointing as my original goal was to have her major in music. When push came to shove, I realized that it would be difficult for her to make a living as a music major and maybe Psychology would offer much better financial opporunities to her. Seeing Levine's Declaration and the honesty, learnedness and quality in it has had two benefits for me, number one, of course, is to have a much better understanding of how Scientology controls the minds of its staff members but the unexpected benefit is that I now feel better about my daughter being active in the field of psychology.

So, just watch it Blip, if you continue refering the thread to worthwhile information as you did with this one, I will be forced to name you as one of the thread's ALL STAR THETANS!

I say that in jest but seriously, Blip, if you can direct me to another site on ESMB which has more interesting and informative (AND ENTERTAINING) articles on it than this one has, I sure would like to visit it. In fact, my leaned and dynamic partner, CO, called me yesterday to discuss Roger's article about John Mc Masters and CO believes our posting here on this thread is not topped by anything else he has seen on the entire internet!

This thread is evolving into one of those "Think Tanks" which has supposedly very learned men and women who give advice to governments, politicians and the like. If you look at major societal areas such as Study and Education, Ethics and Morals, Origins and Composition of the Universe, Philosophy and Mental and Spiritual Technologies, I would put our contributors here up against the best in the world. Then to make things light and interesting, we discuss Baseball, Automobiles, Rock Music, Classical Music, old time radio and tv performers, nostalgic geographic areas with gorgeous photographic displays, nostalgia in general, early personal incidents in Scientology, etc. In these areas, I believe we excel as well and are at least equal to the top magazines and newspapers.

I don't know that you're totally correct about this. Perhaps students from exclusive secondary schools make up a larger percentage of students in elite universities in comparrison to their percentage of all secondary school students. But, still, the greatest majority of students in elite universities come from among the great unwashed masses who attended public schools.

The difference between ANY public school and CarmelloOrchard's wife's school is that ALL the students in the public school are tested and measured. They don't have a "random" sampling size of ONE (Carmello's daughter).

Carmello should chalk up the win of his daughter's brilliance to his OWN PARENTING SKILLS, not the "tech" of LRH.

Regarding elite boarding schools, the top 12 have between 20% and 30% of their graduates going to Ivy League ( + MIT & Standford ) schools, and have rather intimate arrangements with Ivy League admissions officers. An interesting piece of data (scroll down to table 2.4 in this reference ) is that you can have an SAT in the 1050 - 540 range (below average), but if you are high socioeconomic status and attend one of the top boarding schools, you have a 65% chance of being admitted to one of the "most selective" colleges.

It's not a matter of elites monopolizing elite colleges, it's a matter of their wanting to do everything they can to give THEIR kids an edge over public school kids.

A few nights ago, she was having a barbeque on the rooftop with friends. When the ballgame with the Mets ended, there were fireworks at AT&T Park. How perfect is that?

There is a club open till 1 at the bottom of the building. She's already endeared herself to the owner by writing a letter to the codes and or zoning department about her liking having security guys, bouncers and people walking around at all hours - it makes the neighborhood safer, and stating she lives above the club and hears nothing. After her party, she took her friends down to the club, where the owner walked her in, and bought drinks for all her friends.

She's looking at being the Condo's homeowners association president.

Good schools can do a world of good. If the student wants to be there and participate, doors open. But before good schools comes "right" attitude. Nothing happens without that.

It is an amazing declaration, giving me real context into the Headley's case. That said, it's significantly less applicable to my own.

... written through the perspective of Psychology, which I still considered as a pseudo science built on the false datum that man is brain based and has no spirit. ...

In many ways it is a "pseudo-science", or at least an extremely soft "science" not strongly rooted in objectivist principles. However, for that reason there are in fact many psychologists who are not at all materialist in their thinking.

Psychology is a study of the mind and that does have strong connections to studies in brain function. But brain function evidently does not wholly determine mental function. There has been much research in psychology which has provided evidence to suggest this viewpoint.

Given your daughter's degree in psychology you might want to introduce her to the subject of Metapsychology. There are some excellent people working in that field. Some of those whom you met on the 4th have excellent contacts in the Metapsychology field.

[n.b. Let me know if your daughter decides to go to germany for a trip. I've an ex-scientologist friend with a background in psychological counselling who lives in a charming medieval era city there. She's not a metapsychology practitioner nor does she post on esmb, but nonetheless your daughter may well find some of her work in consciousness studies to be of interest.]

Yes, Roger.....please don't leave us. I love to read your posts and I can see from the comments of others that you are much appreciated here. Please don't be blown off by a couple of others who have their own agenda. You are too valuable here. You have helped me a lot with your posts!!!

I so envy the posters here that have more knowledge and experience than I, and I am so glad that you are all willing to share your knowledge and experiences on this board. It is so helpful. It makes up for a lot of experiences in life that I never had and most likely would never have or know anything about without your putting your experiences here on ESMB. It's like gold to me. I wish I had more knowledge and experience to give back to you all here and contribute to the show, but I only have what I have and can't make it any more than it already is....sorry about that. But... I do love what you all have to share here and I'm grateful to all of you who do so. It certainly makes my life better.

:grouphug:

FoTi,

Please don’t think less of your value than is true. While you may not have some of the things that, perhaps, you would prefer to be able to contribute, your actual contributions and participation on the board are magnificent . . . . and I don’t say that just to placate you.

You see, it is because of you and folks like you that I have continued to spend the time posting as I have.

You see, there is a principle involved

To be received, duplicated and understood by good folks is very spiritually empowering. And that is the value and power of the good folks who do receive, duplicate, appreciate and validate . . . the communication exchange becomes a very spiritually empowering exchange for those involved in it.

There is a tech reason behind it, of course. LRH addressed it, nearly got it right, touched on it but didn’t take it to true fruition. Remember in the Axioms of SOP-8? He said: “The basic action of existence is duplication.”

Well, that’s close enough for today. You see, when good folks, harmonious up tone folks duplicate each other . . . that is, when they duplicate the presence, Being, communication of each other, they are actually indulging a co-create and a co-empowerment.

That is why good folks can feel so “up” when they exchange in an up tone way as we have often seen on this thread “Aboard the Apollo—1973”

At that level of co-action all of the finer uplifting characteristics of interchange and relationship obtain: love, mutual respect, honor, appreciation, contribution to each other’s well being and expansion, etc., all these co-empowering virtues and attributes of the spirit manifest. It’s a winning scenario.

Of course the negative types try to demean it as “lovey-dovey” . . . . but it is to be noted they do not duplicate: they only ever challenge and make wrong and work to bring down. :duh:

So, my Love, honor your value . . . you are a safe terminal! An empowering, co-creating safe terminal.

And what is more valuable than that!?? (I don’t know what is. )

For, you see, it is a co-created game we are involved in . . . if it was a co-negating, co-destroying game as some attempt; or even a game based on the ignoring of each other, where would we be? :puke:

So honor your presence and participation as I do and as it ought be.

RogerB

One big plus is that she's now pretty much immunized against being regged or disseminated to. "Would you like to have a better understanding of the human mind? I'm a psychologist. Oh, never mind, bye"

And you're right that career opportunities for psych majors are much better than for music majors. From CNN:
