Ideal Orgs, an exercise in failure

This is a perfect example of why someone who never even graduated High School should not be making executive business decisions. Where as all responsibly run businesses are reducing their brick and mortar footprints and moving to eCommerce and 21th century means of doing business to cut down on overhead, Miscavige is moving in the opposite direction.

Miscavige has vastly increased the cost of doing business, with basically zero return on his investment. Not only did he increase the overhead of doing business, but the focus has shifted from finding new customers to finding staff to run these ridiculous Ideal Orgs, thus not only increasing overhead but reduces revenues.

And even with this newly well appointed enormous building and all this extra staff to go along with it, all it takes is one protester on the sideway to render it useless.

Aside from pacifying his Napoleon Complex, Miscavige's Ideal Orgs are an exercise in failure.

It would have been a failure if Sea Ogre reserves were used. Instead, they squeezed the Cof$ public for more donations, then transferred the property, already paid for, no mortgages, over to some holding corporations, probably also not for profits, and let the class V orgs pay rent.

If you were able to collect donations for no exchange from future tenants, buy an apartment building, and then charge the tenants rent, your only overheads being maintenance, a building super that agreed to work for 50 bux per week, and perhaps property tax, what would there be not to like about that business model, other than being an unscrupulous asshole to do business that way?

It would be perfectly legal as long as you were up front with everyone as to what you were doing and could find people willing to go along and support it. Scientology does that, only they aren't all that up front, telling the donators that the idle org will be theirs ... except then they transfer title to whatever corporate entity holds those properties for the orgs and charge the donators rent. The donators go along with it, or at least some do. The problem Cof$ is facing is a dwindling pool of people stupid enough to keep letting themselves get burned again and again. I keep hoping that the next time I log on to ESMB or Clambake there will be HUGE breaking news of the inevitable collapse.

Keep up the good work, Mr. Miscavige. We're with you, 100%, in your efforts to destroy that scammy POS spewed by a soulless Hubbard entity.

What DM is doing makes perfect sense if you are in the Mafia:

Take over a successfull business

Skim all you can off the top while running the business into the ground

Get rid of it
