Our present to you is to do all we can to make your decision to come to planet Earth be a decision which you do not regret. We hope that you will self reflect, and say to yourself, ",,,,it was touch and go on Earth for a while, but there are a lot of good people there working to make that planet a decent place to live, and you know what, my decision to live their, after all is said and done, was a wise decision." The ability to predict is a good thing. But why bother with baiting the shit slingers? This in a sense is what Hubbard called, "forwarding the enemy line."

The shit might hit the fan by reason of your posting, it might not. Your statement in red makes it look like you could be putting it out there for people to respond in that manner.

The perspective that the author writes from gives reason to ponder the possibilities should his perspective be anywhere near correct. I posted it because it looks correct enough to me. I have often remarked that not everyone that walks upright on two legs is a human being.

What happens when you process the client in front of you on his/her own, right items? Compare that to processing the client on someone else's item, dishing out false time tracks to everyone.

Has the church turned into a spiritless ego mill poised to die off one person at a time, each ego smugly satisfied with its auditing-polished narcissism and false time track?

I will let this cook on the mind's back burner for a while -- something enlightening to be served up later.

Google search: Results will be by page. One page = 10 posts. Can search by phrase, synonyms, negative terms (i.e., words you don't want in the results).

Note there are two types of comments after this: (1) those concerning the subject matter, i.e., organizational structure and management, and (2) those concerning the content of the list, i.e., whether particular posts should be added or removed from the list. The (1) comments belong on the original Apollo Old Days thread, and the (2) comments should stay on the new thread.

This example is pretty crude. There is a lot of discussion (I assume, anyway) that doesn't include the keyword "Drucker" and should be added. The point is that it is EASY to add relevant posts with this format. It also preserves the look and feel of the original (the links will still work, for instance).

One can get fancier. If you're going to be doing a lot of this, you will want to keep the spreadsheet, ultimately having a line for nearly every single post (URL). You can add notes, dozens of different columns showing categories, tags, keywords, whatever will help you.

There are HUGE advantages to doing it this way, as opposed to reformatting the posts into PDF form or something else. HUGE!!!

Paul, thank you so much for this hatting! You have a skill which is extremely valuable in knowing your way around computer systems and software. By the way, recently you stated something to the effect that none of the posts which you made on our thread were memorable or would need to be saved if we did e books of this threads contents. Well that has changed, the post I just copied is a must for all who are not really computer savy, which includes me.

I was in computers in the 60's and early 70's but it was only in scientific applications, writing programs in FORTRAN for big main frame computers. People hear that I wrote computer programs for 9 years and think I know all about pc's and lap tops and I don't. What is more, I have an aversion to learning that stuff. My kids, especially my Son, seemed to know all this stuff intuitively and my daughter knows it quite well too.

It seems to be a generational thing. Most people born from 1980 on seemed to just pick up computer tech growing up while most people born in the 40's and 50's not only don't know it but most do not have the aptitude to pick it up quickly.

You have this asset even though you are in the older group. It seems to me that you have an invaluable skill there that, should you choose to promote it, could and should lead to a lot of income for you.

I wouldn't call any advice which I give you "wisdom". Really, it is just "hatting" and even there, it is just my opinion of what, when and where you should post.

John, there are several things which make you unique amongst ex Scientologists. One area has more to do with logistics than anything to do with mental and spiritual technologies.

Most people, when they left Organized Scientology still had much contact with the subject. Often,they would find a group, some even created a group but they stayed in touch with other exes and marched forward to present time, having a Scientology base, knowing what was going on in the Church, in the field, on the various Chat and Discussion Boards, etc.

In your case, it just seems as if you left "cold turkey". You simply went off and did other things. When Blue Spirit finally brought you back into the fold of ex Scientologists, over 25 years had passed.

At the time you left, people loved to hear about OT wins, just look at the Scio magazines of the day and they were full of these OT type success stories. There was no internet but people sure liked to gather around and hear OT stories told by a real OT. You applied what was popular in the mid 80's to ESMB in 2010 and you created quite a stir.

THE NATURE OF WHY YOU STIRRED UP SO MUCH CONTROVERSY
A lot of people got out of the Church having lived a certain life style and held certain beliefs for a very long time. They were usually stripped of their money, and had enormous Freeloader Debts, even though it was they who had toiled for the church for pennies while the C of $ reaped the benefits of their labor. They were also stripped of their dignity and worth and most of them lost all their friends and family. I believe you lost your friends, so that area you were familiar with.

These people were damaged goods and ended up on the internet looking for answers. They found people whom they could relate to and slowly at first, they began to rebuild their lives. Part of their rehabilitation process was to realize that LRH was not a perfect man and had a lot of skeletons in his closet and that the promised levels of Clear and OT were, to a large degree, sales hype. No one seemed to actually have OT powers, at least the kinds which were touted in the old magazines. Slowly but surely, most of these exes start to rehabiltate and start jettisoning the concept of LRH as a Messiah or the concept that real OT abilities exist for all. They were starting to feel good about themselves again and their lives were starting to be repaired.

A BULL IN A CHINA SHOP Into this set of circumstances, you came in with the best of intentions, with exuberance, an outlandishly high tone level and with the intent of lifting these exes up to OT states which you yourself had experienced. Those of us who understand to some degree what you were doing, feel deep admiration for you. However, for someone just recovering from their Scientology experience and who is now just taking their first tentative steps towards regaining their confidence, their self esteem and their life, your message is not what they wanted to hear. Your message is late, you are late to the party, 27 years too late!

It is like someone showing up at the Betty Ford Clinic, where people are struggling to recover from alcoholism and telling the group there that Bev Mo or some liquor outlet is running a huge sale on fine wines from France and beers from Germany. People would have once jumped with glee to recieve such news but in 2010 at the Betty Ford Clinic, they would throw you out on your ear (or more likely on your ass).

SUMMARY I guess you could call this wisdom, I call it hatting but then the contents of a hat pack can be said to contain wisdom. Anyway, it is not rocket science, it is easy to see what went wrong in your debut but as several astute people have pointed out, you ran a process on a group of people, the process bit, the Tone Am went crazy, TA is beefing up and blowing down all over the place. Hopefully, if the process is continued, your original approach of getting your message out and inspiring all these people could still be attained.

As my final closing remark I am going to state some real wisom, this one is from LRH and is one of my favorites of his where I believe he was spot on. "When the unusual occurs, do the usual to handle it."

Thanks "Not OK". I am glad you did not copy my post because I just fixed all the typos and added some petinent wisdom which I think is one of LRH's best. I think he created this one himself but maybe not. If he lifted this one, I would sure like to know who first stated it because it is an incredible "truism".

I don't really know the answer to this, but my guess is it might be so that, since the other thread is his own thread in the "My Story" section....that would keep his story all on one thread, that he could refer others too in the future, because it would be kind of hard for someone to have to go through all the posts on this thread to find his story. This is not his own thread for his own story and I don't think it's a bad idea that he's doing the other one at the same time. I also like it being posted in this thread too. I like reading it better here.

Reading a Room

When I was 12, I had a crystal set radio. It had been a Cub Scout project, that I had made with my father's help and oversight. He had built a crystal radio when he was a kid. I had a hundred feet (or more) of coax cable draped in our pine trees for the antenna. My ear phone stayed under my pillow, and I listened at night falling asleep, in the middle of the night when I drifted abck in, and in the morning, waking up. It was another window on the world.

In 1962, Emperor Gene Nelson came to KYA radio. I listened to him while lying in bed. When I got up, I turned the stereo on to listen. He was a fixture in my house as a kid, and as an adult. KYA was the Boss of the Bay for the San Francisco Bay Area. He is my favorite DJ for all time. I listened to him for 30 years, until he retired.

At Christmas time, he would always read this parable (that I am about to post). It applies, not only to Christians, but to anybody trying to lead another to safety. Basically the moral is to read your subjects and be able to own their reality, not be a strange creature, if you're trying to lead someone to safety.

For a group like ESMB, one best reads for several months, before beginning a blitz of posts. If you don't know the players and the dominant attitudes, it is easy to offend or look like a dork.

When I came to ESMB, I had no idea of how bad the abuse and the out tech had become. Reading others' accounts opened my eyes enormously.

If you're trying to talk to NFL fans, you tailor your message accordingly. If you're talking to the DAR, you are more demure. And so it goes.

Read the Room before you try to Lead the Room.


The Parable of the Birds

Once upon a time there was a man who looked upon Christmas as a lot of humbug. He wasn’t a Scrooge, or anything like that. In fact, he was kind of a decent person. But he did not believe all that stuff about Incarnation and he was too honest to pretend that he did. He simply could not understand the claim that God had become man. After the third thud, he realized that some birds, caught in the snow storm, and in a desperate attempt to search for shelter, had tried to fly through his living room window. Now, as he could see, they lay huddled together quite miserably in the snow.

He thought to himself, “I can’t let those birds out there freeze, but how can I possibly help them?” Then he thought of the barn. It was a warm shelter - just the thing. So he put on his coat and his boots, and he tramped out through the deepening snow to the barn. He opened the barn doors wide, and turned on the light; but the birds would not come in. “Food will bring them in,” he then thought, so he sprinkled a trail of bread crumbs from the birds to the barn door. “They simply find me a strange and terrifying creature,” he said to himself. “I have got to think of a way I can let them know they can trust me. The answer would be if I could only become a bird myself for a few minutes. Then they would trust me to lead them to safety - to life out of the cold.” At that moment, the bells of the church began to ring-in Christmas Day, and, as they did, something strange happened. The man stood silently for awhile looking at the birds, then he looked for a time at the barn door; then, oddly, he knelt for a time in the cold and wet snow. He had come with some suddenness to realize something for the first time in his life, and it would not let him go. “If only I could become a bird, myself...then they might trust me to lead them to safety, to life out of the cold.”

Lakey, I would say that you do have a form of Wisdom !

I did give TMT some hatting on ESMB beforehand, and suggested the double
posting which I did due to the length of the Chronicles taken as a whole.
Also I gave him a rundown on most of the key players, good and bad, but
in the end (beginning ?) he had to find out for himself.

PS= There were 3 misspellings above that I found quickly using the built-in
spell check in Mozilla Firefox, which I recommend to all as the way to go.

Thanks "Not OK". I am glad you did not copy my post because I just fixed all the typos and added some petinent wisdom which I think is one of LRH's best. I think he created this one himself but maybe not. If he lifted this one, I would sure like to know who first stated it because it is an incredible "truism".

These are not the exact words but pretty close.

This is accurate in the overall sense of things to my recollection, Lakey. I also got that in "extreme" situations most people go for "extreme" measures to deal with it - and that doing so is diametrically the wrong thing to do... that a light, gentle touch is best in extreme situations.

My experience tends to affirm that the above is about right.

Now I would like to recount a conversation and experience from about 10 years ago when I was finishing up LOC (as I recall) at Flag and was asked to twin up with an old SO member who was having some difficulty getting through some course he was taking and needed to complete.

With characteristic modesty, I will say that few if any are better than I in getting a person's reading and comprehension sorted-out and percolating.

Naturally, we became good buddies and he told me some pretty good tales of the SO and his experiences. We once were discussing nomenclature and scio terminology and how unique it was and how impressive, and so on, ya know...

Anyway, he asked me if I had ever heard the term "dead baby handler". I had not, and he continued, saying "oh yeah, that's an important hat in the SO, because nothing upsets folks quite so much as a dead baby laying around... it REALLY disturbs them - and the trick is to create a big diversion and then sneak the dead baby out while everyone is looking at something else."

The gist of it was that any "Hill 10" of magnitude would get handled by the "dead baby handlers" - not necessarily that a real dead baby was involved. Some recent posts have given me pause to wonder whence the term.

Very shortly thereafter he got his course completed and was most appreciative of the help I had given, and enjoyed giving. "Red", I wish you well and may you achieve your goals.

So here we have a somewhat oblique example of doing "the usual" in an "unusual" situation and looking a bit deeper, the use of obfuscation and misdirection of attention as "policy"... whether written or not.

I finished up whatever I was doing, went home as usual and have thought about this snippet of conversation from time to time, wondering if anyone could confirm, amplify, refute or otherwise comment on it.

Face, you are the Kleenex Company's biggest promoter. I need to get some Kleenex from TMT, this post of yours is just a rat-ta-tat-tat of truth after thruth in machine gun fire type fashion. You start firing and don't come up for air until your magazine is emptied with all shots being bullseyes.

One tiny addenda I would like to add to your very accurate list of why I started my story is, I WANTED TO DEBRIEF, I NEEDED TO DEBRIEF. My need to debrief was a compulsion! At the time, February, 2009, I still believed in the priniciple of being the odd man out. I figured that the vast majority of people on C of $ lines were wining and I was one of the few having difficulties. I figured that the "why" was invovled with some deep seated case phenomena that was below my ability to view it.

What a difference a year and a half can make. I have not had one session (except 4 Idenics sessions) nor taken ant courses. Despite this, I have basically remade my entire personality and have stabilized my case. All the changes were from just interchanging communications on ESMB. This is the best case level I have attained to this date by far. I know that there are more levels to go, more knowledge and wisdom, higher levels of awareness to achieve but right now I am stuck in a win and just want to enjoy this level of awareness for a bit longer. It is everything I ever envisioned that night of June 5, 1970 when I went to Seton Thomas's intro lecture at the L.A. Org.

Getting back again to Face and his post. His arrival here which seems like a year ago but is only a couple of months ago, was a huge cataliyst in expanding this neighborhood. A new guy who was an insider who worked directly with LRH suddenly appearing out of nowher. That was at the very top of my wish list and it came to pass in the Form of Face. Now we have The Magic Thetan joining ESMB with this thread as his home base.

I had a bit of a new awareness while reading Face's quoted post, realizing that the way this thread is being built may be similar to how some earlier universes than this came into existence. I am virtually sure that this is true. Great universes have existed before and they were probably formed much as this neighborhood has been formed. Somebody tells a story and starts something small, a couple of people like it, tell others, eventually a couple of luminaries hear about it, check it out and tell their friends and the place starts filling up with high level beings of good will. Talk about fractals, our thread, our neighborhood must be a fractal of larger groups going all the way up to Ideal Universes.

"IDEAL UNIVERSES" How is that for trumping the C of $, while they build mere Ideal Orgs with quality MEST, we are building Ideal Universes with quality theta.
So, with that pearl of wisdom (not too shabby for an ex Dir of Disbursements), I thank Face for his spot on posting of late, as I also thanked Ted for his. Yes, its true I never thought of stats or being #1 when I first started this thread, just as Face has said and stats and being the top thread don't mean that much to me now. Still, hosting a thread or co-hosting a thread is a Game and like all games, one might as well have some fun participating in it. The stats are just an artificial lure to keep interest up and to have a target to shoot for. To be #1 really means nothing but an LRH comment does apply here. He stated that if you are going to do something then do it is a professional and that is all that I am trying to do. Being #1 or shooting for #1 is a sucker's game. No matter how good one does something, sooner or later someone comes around and does it better. All that is necessary is to do a job professionally and things will work out fine.

In a sense, I have been around about a year...I did a lot of lurkin on a lot of boards and a lot of reading before I made my first post 6 months ago on the "LRH Source or Sauced" "Power of Source" thread. I honestly didn't think I had much of added value to contribute but, in the case of the "Apollo Stars" I just couldn't sit silent and let a bunch of good folks I had known get a “bum rap” ‘cause of El Ron’s BS. I actually “signed on” on ESMB just to make that post…for them.

My "take" is that all macrocosms are self ordered criticalities of and from interdependent fractal microcosms “in play”.

To me, an ideal universe is one, in part, wherein all are open, welcome openness, are welcomed openly, without nary the thought of “leverage”, “advantage” or “position” as each of “Us” is a unique singularity that makes the “whole” such and so.

Folks like you, and so many others here and elsewhere, were the "guts" of what made Scn. Your "problem", if I may be so bold was, perhaps, not that you were not of "executive/leadership caliber" bla bla bla but, rather, that the system predicated thoughts of leverage, advantage and position by the inherent nature of El Ron’s Monolithic Command and Control construct, built around Hisself's “all pigs are equal, however some pigs are more equal than others” cult.

It seems to be a generational thing. Most people born from 1980 on seemed to just pick up computer tech growing up while most people born in the 40's and 50's not only don't know it but most do not have the aptitude to pick it up quickly.

Object-oriented design methodologies started to become popular in the '90s along with gui's. These are a lot more "intuitive".

Try giving some of these youngsta's a bit of assembler or jcl to play with. Ha!
