This implied that even the brightest of people were wrong (i.e. using non optimum solutions) much of the time. Nevertheless, a person would prevail in life over the long run if they were right only 51% of the time.

A GREAT ANALOGY ILLUSTRATING THIS CONCEPT

Look no further than the dice tables at Las Vegas to see how this principle works! In the dice game of craps, the Casino or "house" wins the basic bet 50.7% of the time and the individual or "shooter" wins 49.3% of the time. This give the house a 1.4% edge on every bet played. It looks like a very close bet, almost and even and fair bet. But is it really?

Though there will be large fluctuations, both up and down, in a shooters fortune, after a sufficiently large number of trials, the shooter will ultimately be stripped of his fortune and go broke.

When you cut through all the bullshit and do the math, the house takes $1.40 from every $100 the shooter bets, On average, if the shooter bet $100 on every roll of the dice, after 72 rolls, he will be $100 behind. Therefore, if he came to the table with $500, it would, on average, take 5 x 72 or 360 rolls and he would be wiped clean. This process is nicknamed, "IN THE LONG RUN, IN ENGLISH, AND "A LA LARGA" IN SPANISH. There is also an expression, "The law of large numbers (of random trials)".

YVONNE'S EXAMPLE GIVES THE PERSON A 2% EDGE OVER THE PHYSICAL UNIVERSE, NOT JUST THE 1.4% OF A DICE GAME.

If you win 51% of the time and lose 49% of the time, your "house" advantage in life is 2% and instead of 72 rolls, you will increase your fortune one bet size in only 50 rolls or you will lose one bet size every in 50 rolls if the universe holds the "house" advantage of 2%.

Most casino games are set up with a much higher percentage of advantage such as 5.6% in roulette. In such a game as that, if you play a large number of trials, say 100, in a random game with an honest roulette wheel you will be rapidly annihilated.

I think this analysis useful, for doing well in life. If one can "out create" the random aspect of the physical universe to the extent of being right only 51% of the time, that person will end up, in the long run, being successful and wining in the game of life.

"You only need to be right 51% of the time" was not LRH's. My father used to quote that to me years ago and he never studied Scientology.

I bought it a long time ago at an antique show, and I still like it. There are gorgeous ads that ran in Life and Look Magazines that Lucky paid for.

What I'm getting at is that I don't know if there is anything in the physical universe set up where you can only have positive outcomes. Without the negatives, the positives become blah. Or vice versa. Negatives give a basis of comparison. The saying, "You never miss the water , till the well runs dry." is really true. Without bad things, good things are not as valuable.

If you look at any hero of history, you can judge that person with 21st century values and that person comes up short. Take Jefferson and the slave sweetheart and their children.

I'm not saying there is no reason for trying. I'm just saying the game, when looked at from afar, just reduces to two steps forward and one step back.

Take any invention dynamite, computers, whatever. They can be used for good or evil.

It is a very funny world.

The solution, as I see it, is to own the full effect - the pan determined game point of view.

Count me also as one of your followers. I had read your posts with interest before I registered here. You have a unique viewpoint and set of experiences, that while not always paralleling my understanding, always increased it.

I myself, as I have said before, had a good ride in Scio. I certainly did not need any rescuing from the "bad" things that happened. Further, I have had some immense Ascension Experiences and have never crashed and burned after any of them. So you and Alan plainly did something other than what I did. And not just me either. Hundreds of others whom I have known and interacted with..

So cheers mate. There's some good rugby coming up in New Zealand later in the year. I'll be watching some of the gammes live. If you're in this neck of the woods come on over for a glass of Henneseys and a good chinwag.

I didn't have any crash and burns either. I've seen them. I've helped others with them. I've had some bruises and scrapes, but nothing that I carry around with me.

The P-51 was the first aircraft design intentionally using the mathematics of “Laminar Flow Airfoil” wings. Without the RR Merlin, the full potential of the Mustang’s design would never have been realized. :no:

I remember as a young kid - about 1951 - we had a squadron of these getting trained up to go to Korea for the war there. They used to come and practice dogfights over where we lived. Fantastic to see so many of them in the sky zooming and diving and turning and all. The ROAR of those engines! It still makes my flesh go all gooseybumps!

I remember when they began using L10/11s for Eastern Airlines short flights from Orlando to Miami. Those huge Rolls Royce engines outside the windows really blew me away. I really felt secure. Too bad the inside hull rotated and shifted and the doors came off the overhead cabinets and hit us in the head. Then there was a an iterrupted droning over and over and a hiccup. Our hydraulics were missing. Brand new bird too. :whistling:

I had a chance to hear a RR Merlin engine IRL at a tractor pull about 20 years ago (V16? I am forgot, nope 12 sry...), we were sitting about six rows up from it and omg, omg,omgomgomg, what a sound! Goes right through ya! (hm, tried to find some footage of the tractor involved, no success so far, but what was really nice is it wasn't babied, awesome machine!)
