El Ron apologists, such as M&M, will go to great lengths or dismissive phrases to try and pass off the idea that Hisself was not aware of the horrific conditions of Staff, SO and their Children or of the heinous and outrageous convolutions that Institutionalized Scn is infamous for; the “fact” and position that El Ron didn’t know is utterly false and, for the years I was around Hisself, I know that to be a the fact.
One of the most powerful intelligence apparatuses El Ron had was the SO #1 line. As I have detailed somewhat on this board before, El Ron didn’t read all those letters, write the responses and personally sign them. Hisself did, however, have everything in all those letters cross-index filed regarding who, what, when, where, why. Folks would tell “Ron” just about anything and the SO #1 Files, PC folders (which Hisself had culled) and access to GO internal and external intelligence summaries provided El Ron with a complete composite, and the specifics related thereto, beyond anyone else and on anyone in Scn.
Unless income or Hisself’s own skin was in peril, El Ron just didn’t care. Anything that screwed up was someone else’s fault and Hisself would claim ignorance and step in to “save the day” yet again. Hisself was tooling Us, folks…Hisself was tooling Us from the get go.

LRC’s POS Legacy, The Begat’s (cont.)
And Thus, Int Begat KNOTS & Dianetic Clear Era.
LRC, The Photographer, Screenwriter Producer, Director had, yet again, “worked” Hisself into physical breakdown. Mayo was summoned, saved the day and the KNOTS & Dianetic Clear Era was born.
As has been well documented by David Mayo, the KNOTS & Dianetic Clear Era was all about money. KNOTS, not only was a new “Breakthrough” to rectify the puzzling situation of “OT’s” having to be audited on Dianetcs for body problems…it also “handled” the inconvenient fact of Rock Slams in El Ron’s folders. The FSO suddenly had a “New”, expensive service to sell the Scn elite and the Mission Holders—and rip off Mission and lower Org PC’s. The Dianetic Clear Bulletins short circuited the Bridge Flow in the field and created a faster, shorter runway to get well heeled Mission public to Flag for expensive, obscenely profitable services. The expanding of the KNOTS “Tech” created an upper Bridge that was much more expensive, longer, and in effect a rehash of NED and Ex Dn that the PC had already paid dearly to do. The changing of the Upper Levels was a huge WTF for yours truly.
The mid 70’s to early ‘80’s at Flag was a period of tremendous “cross-pollinating” and synergy development. Mission Holders and their Staffs, Field Opinion Leaders, Celebrities and outer Org Execs and Techies on training from all over the world were in personal contact as never before in the history of Scn. El Ron was not around and was pretty much “off the lines” and the focus was Scn and connecting, sharing info, expanding and reach-out. During this period the Missions were expanding well and so was almost all of Scn as a result.
During this time, a small trickle of folks disappeared “Over the Rainbow”, mostly from the Flag Bureaux, the International Management Arm of Flag. Again, what was notable was not who was disappearing but, who wasn’t. The FB had already been decimated by the manning-up of the Flag Service Org for Public delivery income. The FSO had the lion’s share of highly trained, experienced and proven execs, techies and personnel from the Apollo. The FB was weakened by all this and, for a period of time, the FSO and the Field was free to grow, unencumbered by International “Management”. Also during this time the Guardians Office…due to the raids and indictments…was slipping into a siege mentality and on the defensive.
Princess Di had not been taken “Over the Rainbow” (she was pregnant) and as CS 6, and the absence of El Ron and Mary Sue, was now the “highest” Hubbard at Flag and reveled in spending long hours hobnobbing and “holding court” with the Mission Holders, wealthy Public and Celebs—this would later prove to be a fatal error on Diana’s part. Diana Hubbard Horwich had three fundamental “blind spots” that caught up with her in the early ‘80’s; she had minimal “Tech” training and experience; she had absolutely not the foggiest clue of how to “disseminate” and relate to a “Wog”; she was vain. I know my words appear harsh and I certainly have no clue how well I would have done with the hand she was dealt in life, however, for folks on the “Front Line” and “in the trenches”, she was not the friend she tried so hard to appear to be. When it came down to the “nut cuttin’” Princess Di blinked and bailed.
And Thusly, KNOTS Begat The LRC Autographed Leather Bound Collector's Editions.
During the early KNOTS Era it was discovered, quite by accident mostly, that well healed Public at Flag would pay a huge mark-up for El Ron books that were personally autographed by Hisself. Thousands were sold…nary a one that was actually personally signed by El Ron. The first Public Library Placement scam was run and thousands of more books were sold. Then the Leather Bound Collectors Editions were rushed through production and yet more thousands were sold. And, eventually, thousands and thousands of the ne plus ultra’s were sold; El Ron “Personally Autographed” Leather Bound Books. The Royalty money, straight to El Ron’s pocket, was a considerable fortune.
As I have already discussed in “Shooting Stars” Part Five, I see the Photo Shoot “Org” as the innocuous, unnoticed and unintentional “Tipping Point” in the rise of the CMO from a group of curious, sometimes comical, overwhelmed, exploited and brainwashed children into Scn’s version of Hitler Youth, to Waffen-SS, to SS. Just before and during the early KNOTS & Dianetic Clear Era the CMO was steadily increasing and expanding its’ ranks, presence and turf. As El Ron steadily deteriorated, Hisself followed the Left Hand Path farther and deeper into the “Dark Side”. All the while, the CMO incessantly seized more of the role of Hisself’s “Gate Keepers” while consolidating the position of Hisself’s “Facilitators”, "Enablers" and “Protectors”.
A steady small stream of children and adolescent recruits came through the FLB for CMO Basic training and then some were added to the ranks of CMO at the FLB but most went “Over the Rainbow”. Up until the early KNOTS Era yours truly had always gotten along just fine with Commodores Messengers and, when that started changing and steadily deteriorating, it was a red flag to me. These kids didn’t know, nor care, who the “F” I was, my SO and Scn History or History with EL Ron and had no concept of what an Org was all about or, in my view, Scn…after all, they were just kids, raised by Scn parents who were all Ga Ga that heir little darling was now “Commodore’s Messenger”! Most teenagers and young adults go through a period wherein the “discover” that they are “smarter” and ‘cooler” than their “dumb” and “goofy” parents”…until life teaches them otherwise…that natural, ageless process never happened with these kids and they ultimately became true “Children of The Corn”.
And Thusly, Thus The Begat’s Begat The Scientolgy Kristallnacht.
The following is an excerpt from a post I made on the Apollo Thread around 5 months ago;
During the mid to late ‘70’s it became obvious to me that El Ron was not “serious”; that El Ron was only pretending to play the game I thought Hisself was playing, that El Ron had said Hisself was playing; that El Ron didn't give a shit about the rest of Us. By that time I’d seen enough, been "around" enough, been at the "top” and on the "inside" long enough, and had enough information that it was obvious what needed to be done to play “long ball” and consolidate the position of “Planetary Scientology”. There was times multiple more than enough dough in SO Reserves and flooding in every month at the FSO in the late ‘70’s to design, prepare for and then call a 6 month “Stand Down”, restructure Org staffs and SO with increased compensation, improved Org quarters, facilities and equipment, realign postings, hire needed experience and talent, streamline and simplify policy, focus the energy on the "lower bridge", clean up, crash train and drill everyone, then “restart”. Nearly every Scio would have pitched in to help a project like that, and the resultant espirit de corp and pride would have "filled the sails" for a generation.
In 6 years, beginning with the Power of Source Album, El Ron increased Hisselfs personal largess by well over 1,000%. Up until POS, El Ron’s skim came from what was produced in the Orgs, sales of the existing books and materials by the Orgs and what came in from the Missions via the Franchise Office. Flag Service Org income, the “New” compilation books and the Leather Bound Collector’s Editions provided a deep, spring fed pool from which El Ron could dip and dip and dip. And, even that wasn’t enough. Along with all the “New” stuff, there had to be ever New and higher prices on everything else as well.
El Ron had to possess all of “IT”…NOW!!!
