ESMB Poster "David Mayo"

When I got up this morning I found that he'd been posting so I'm guessing he activated the email verification.

VaD (hello!) appears to have misunderstood what uniquemand wrote, believing that UM was suggested that he, VaD, was posing as Mr Mayo. UM clarified his meaning in a separate post.

In this case, the "you" he's referring to is UM... not you, Emma :flowers2:

Thanks for confirming Mr Mayo's identity, Emma. I don't think there's much of a chance that someone else could have usurped his private email address and used it to verify board membership.

I offered my (board) friendship to Mr Mayo and he accepted. That doesn't prove his identity, but it does show he has class... :coolwink:

Yes either someone at lightlink hijacked his address or it's really him. I tend to believe it's him.

I have learned, during my times in helping victims of Narconon, that the gag agreements leave much room for people to speak up without violating the order.

One of the most vocal victims, Greg Beha aka behaser on the forums and boards, stays in contact and posts on the net but is a skilled get-around-the-settlement_gag-order-man. In this thread, he just ignores a request to discuss it. :D

Or some similar verification. I wouldn't insist that the real David Mayo remember. Obviously I'm much more likely to remember the occasion than he, although he might. It's not like I'm asking him what colour tie I was wearing. :D

(Although that one is easy to guess!)

You misunderstood the form of Uniqumand's post. His question was a rhetorical one. It was not a suggestion that you were representing yourself as David Mayo.

Well, I'm gob smacked and thrilled to bits. My teeny tiny toes are tingling with excitement that David has turned up after all this time. Everything I've read about him informs me that he is/was the really, really good guy. Plus, he's a Kiwi, and that means a lot in my books.

Well, I snookered myself when Bill Franks came on the Board…a couple of PM’s later, which I did not initiate, I was satisfied and thrilled. So, I’m keepin’ my powder real dry for the time being. Depending on how things “shake out”, I’m gonna pick my spots carefully this time. If this is truly David Mayo? WOW, I’m so thankful I lived to be here with all Y’all on this day. Karen de la C, Franks, Ruston, Scott…that, for me, is already enough recently to be too good to be true.

If he signed a standard Scientology settlement he's greatly restricted about what he can write. He can choose to disregard the settlement restrictions, and I hope he does, but it would be unfair and selfish to demand that he does.

David Mayo already contributed much. Those with an intense curiosity can begin by reading and listening to what he has already written and said.

In the meantime, if this really is David Mayo, thank you for the work you've done, and thank you for being a truth teller. You made a big difference for the better.
 
He's been burned, seared, roasted, broiled, torched....but he's vulnerable to love and admiration like anyone. Maybe he's received a Trojan horse or two.
