The State of Clear

Gadfly said:
Part of the whole "slant" of Scientology is that members are taught NOT to "ask questions". You are taught and heavily encouraged to "agree".

They are taught to "create a mystery" as a reg. If the person asks, "in risk of what?", the reg, who maybe has done some of the OT levels, will look at you, wink, act all-knowing, and say something vague like, "oh, you will be so AMAZED when you finally get there and DO OT III". The reg will add, "it explains and handles the reason WHY the 4th dynamic is so fucked up here on Earth, and ALL THROUGH THIS SECTOR of the galaxy!" Mystery - mystery - mystery. Leave it vague, and many people will fill in the blanks with their own hopes and dreams.

It is setup to manipulate people. It does.

The weird part is Xenu is spiraling on another galaxy pulling the same scam about Hubbard, its a tag team.

On that galaxy they dont do head busts, its xenus buttock's , compulsory salute of xenus buttocks when within 10 metres.

On asking questions, possibly I need to rephrase what I meant.

One is taught not to "question Scientology or Hubbard".

Asking a question and "questioning" the ideas of Hubbard and Scientology are two very different things.

One is most certaintly heavily indoctrinated to NEVER question, much less challenge, ANYTHING written or spoken by Hubbard, the Church of Scientology or management. It has always been that way.

Sure, you can ask questions as long as they "fit in the box". As long as YOU "stay in the box".

Re: The State of Clear takes Turd Polishing to an Art Form.

Perhaps I may have been a tad harsh on the "believers".

I have to consider not only did the genius - and mankinds greatest friend - say it, but, 12 million people are still adherents of it !

When I consider all those people who are spending not months but years in pursuit of the promises of Dr. Hubbard. And those very same people have willing spent not hundreds of dollars but thousands of dollars chasing this dream!

Can they all just be addicted ?
Is it possible they are in some kind of cult?

Nay!

Over 50,000 of these people are no longer mere "people" they have reached, and attested, to this fabled State of Clear just as Dr Hubbard said it existed !

These Clears do not need to TELL you who they are as they stand out ! Yes, they gained one point of IQ for every hour of processing that they achieved along to the way to the State of Clear ( and even past it, too !)

So, you have in your very midst the very brightest people in the history of this planet! And, surely, from the way the Church of Scientology runs itself you can see that, right?

And the public that has reached the State of Clear ? OMG ! Look at how the Clears, bless 'em, have advanced medicine, engineering, art, culture, family life, religion to the benefit of all mankind !

Why when I look around the world is in so much better shape than when I was a mere child. Now instead of the US having only 2 puny atom bombs both the US & Russia have enough nuclear bombs to kill off the world 20 or 30 times over - not to mention several other countries have more nuclear power than the US did at the end of WWII.

Maybe that was an oddity. Let's take medicine. We've had AIDs and it is still rampart in Africa... cure from these super smart Clears?
Cancer?

Weather systems continue to plague. And Crops... gosh why can't the world be fed better from the results of the brain power ( never mind the ethics ) of these Clears ?
Better fuel systems for industry and vehicles ?

What happened to Mankinds best friend?

Perhaps all the Clears decided to lay low until there are more of them as only 50,000 of 'em aren't enough to make a difference?

I just can't believe that just one Clear can make no difference at all.

I guess the question I need to look for an answer to is how many of these Clears does there need to be to be able to tell there are any among us because, obviously, we are not there yet.

Meanwhile more people devote many years and a lot of dollars to achieving this vaulted State of Clear. They are on the Bridge !

And meanwhile, I waiting to see a Clear emerge from humanity.

One day we'll all see the truth.

Well, hopefully, most of us will see the truth....clearly.

I've seen a clear! - Dude had nearly a thousand auditing hours! - He was an OT too! - He told me that he could drive his car into the city centre, and just where he wanted to park, there'd be a free spot!

Ah.. And he got a parking ticket!

Erh.. So as to not be out exhange with the city parking authorities obviously!!

Minor cost. people spend serious money to get clear so they have a free parkin place.

Them suckertologists are SMART !

Hoaxie, you are trying to apply logic to Scientology! It can't be done. There is no "logic" in Scientology - just Hubbard's often contradictory claims, and the people who blindlessly follow his claims.

enjoy it "as-is"; yeah I DO enjoy when Scientology "as-ises" (and thus VANISHES)!
If there are 7 billion humans on earth and each has roughly 1,000 or so bt's, what mathematical improbability are we looking at as to the work load Xenu would have had to go through to implant and entrap that many thetans and to keep them trapped all these millions of years? Plus, what a dismal universe this must have been for all this time as a result of this? It's like I've said for years, "Look at what we've paid, both in terms of money and sanity, to share the stable datums of the mental illness of this madman." THE COST IS IMEASUREABLE! :nervous:

The State of Clear is Loaded with Turd Polishing Techniques

One thing clear about the " State of Clear " is there seems to be nothing clear about it.

It isn't what the man who invented it says it is and nobody in 60 years has stepped forward and shown they have attained this " State of Clear "

But, most likely, today in an org somewhere a person who proudly will attest to " The State of Clear " and get a rousing gushing round of applause after thanking Ron for the "wins" and "gains".

Just like some 50,000 + other people have done !

Naw, it ain't no cult.

I hereby declare all peoples of the Planet Earth as having Attained the State of Clear.

I hereby also declare all children born onto this planet henceforth and fore ever more shall be considered to have been born into the State of Clear.

From this point forward there is no point ( or sane reason ) to question the State of Clear as all current inhabitants and future inhabitants of Planet Earth have reached - and are acknowledged as having attained - the Glorious State of Clear.

Now, is everybody happy ?

No. I feel cheated. I want you to declare me OT VIII.

NOW!!!! :hissyfit:

send me a cashier's check for half a million dollars, and I'm sure I can make your cert. You probably are a natural OT 8, completely BT free, but the money helps defer my costs of fully acknowledging the true beauty of you.

Wulll 50,000+ CLEARS!!! I musta been out too long or not paying attention. Now let me see how Thursday at 2 Scientologists might look at this. Gees Hmm in the old days when peeps took 1000 hrs to do Life repair through Power and R6EW there were maybe 3200 clears

In 1976 when I was TOLD I was Drug RunDown "CLEAR" I was labled Clear 59xx er summin.

I'm just thinkin, after Dianetic Clear, Scientology Clear, Past Life Clears and Always Been Clears; By golly that must be half of everybody in the fkn Class IV HGC.

So thusly extrapolating and postulating the HGC % of Clears and the Central Files Addresso of anybody who may have ever had their name their inscribed twice or more times, they musta said, Well IF they were in the HGC then 5/4ths of them would be ABC/PL Clears too, Maybe more than once.

K. That makes sense now in a Scientological "make it go right" manner of tinkin. Sheesh!

I suspect that the reason people were suddenly whisked up the bridge as one of all these new versions of clear is that the COS did a yearly cost analysis of their publics "contributions" and saw that they could squeeze them for mega bucks on the upper level, far more than they were making off of them as they toiled on the lower end of the grade chart at class IV orgs. Being clear wasn't a real state anyway, they handed clear certs out like 10% off coupons and got people up to where they could really soak them, the upper levels. And they had to pull it off quick before their public read enough on the internet to take a hike.

You are not the first to make this declaration. I first heard it 30+ years ago so I suppose it has been around quite a while. There was a caveat, however, ...

"They just haven't realized it yet."

Of course a person can challenge any of Hubbard's ideas. First you go to Qual--for a fee. If that doesn't work, you have to buy auditing intensives--for a higher fee. If that doesn't work, you see the Ethics Officer...

Eventually you run out of money, or you realize it is far less expensive to just keep your mouth shut.:yes::yes:

And, don't forget that if it doesn't work with ethics, and you still continue to challenge some idea or statement of Hubbard's, the next step is justice - where you will find yourself declared a suppressive person and disconnected from all others so as not to "infect" the rest of the believers with your "challenges".

There's a lot of truth to that.

But it's a pendulum swing.

No NOTs income equals not enough people on the OT Levels. Declare a bunch of people Clear and reg them for OT Packages and NOTs intensives.

But then there's not enough income for HGC auditing and training at the lower levels, so then everyone has to be recycled through Pro TRs and Grades.

I saw in my 15 years of Scientology this cycle through several times. I'm sure it's still happening.

CoS doing a cost analysis? :dieslaughing::dieslaughing::dieslaughing:

What cost? What analysis? Cut payroll out of any organization, CoS or otherwise, and you have eliminated the single biggest cost in doing business.

There were several underlying considerations to the sudden rush of Clears:

1. It was a PR move. After more than several decades of Clearing, only a few thousand Clears had been so declared. If memory serves, maybe that was around 7,000. Figures are available on the internet. The IRS or anyone else looking into the church claims would be going, "Hey, you say that you are in the business of making Clears. So where are they all?"

2. There is the ever present consideration of money. There were a number of established Missions far more prosperous than their local orgs. This was taken as a personal affront on LRH. The orgs were his babies. The wrong WHY assumed by faulty eval is that the Missions were holding onto Clears, soaking them for more services. This was determined to be "illegal."

It is policy that the WHY is not GOD, and any organization is totally responsible for its own stats, internally driven, and not subject to outside influence barring natural disaster. One may argue the truth of that, but it is church policy. Missions are/were but a small part of any org, a unit of the Public Div. on its org board.

A (then) Class 4 org had all the functions and duties of a Mission including bringing in new peeps, selling books, body routing, FSM activities, basic courses, etc. Anything a Mission was authorized to deliver, an Org could deliver, and much more. To make Missions responsible for an Org's stats is nothing less than no-responsibility for such things on the part of the orgs.

Missions should have enjoyed a friendly, cooperative relationship with orgs, but that sucking black hole for cash-flow sitting at the top of all organizations, LRH, would not permit it because, "Speed of particle flow alone determines Power." The monthly 10% increases in fees cut the average person off from his/her Bridge at the Mission level--well, that and ...

Oops. I just had a brain fart. I was on a roll and then I forgot my final point. :duh:

Oh, I'm back... :wink2:

... that and robbing the future to bring in money now, a practice continued to this day.

There is much more I could write about this from the Mission perspective, but the above is the gist.

Oh, I didn't forget that bit about justice actions. :dieslaughing:

I chose not to include it because it doesn't flow money directly out of a person's pocket to CoS.

That's not to say that you won't lose otherwise because you do. You could lose all your friends and family, and you could lose your job in a Scientology company, or your could lose your client base of Scientologists.

You are right, though.

As I said, a person just learns to keep his mouth shut and go with the flow.:omg:

Call it what you will, the COS tracked stats and tracked money. What I said is that people were fast tracked onto their upper levels, you say it was primarily for PR purposes, well that's always a partial factor. But the primary factor always was money. PR is for the purpose of making money.
