Ha! OK, since you asked...
You have not fully grasped what is being done on OT II and III. The person is not being audited to a point of whole-track recall (another BS EP by Hubbard). That is not the premise. The premise is that the BTs have the recall (of Inc II) not the person. The person may or may not have been around and subjected to this incident personally. It is the BTs that were.
OK, so that doesn't excuse Hubbard in the slightest. For one he is telling you that you have these BTs - eval #1. Second, he is telling you why they are there - eval #2. Very bad form per his own rules!
Does it require a hypnotized subject to buy into it. No, it just requires someone to trust the guy's word. ANd as we all know, Scios trust Ron.
Now, is it safe? You'd have to collect the data from those that have done it. I think that in the main it has been "safe". Perhaps Veda could comment on what specific dangers he sees because he has stated that those that say got the most benefit from it are the most harmed, but he didn't go into the particulars on what that harm is exactly and I'd like to hear his views on it. Has it ever been unsafe, certainly because we have cases reported that have had bad reactions to OT III. I remember when I first read about BTs (I've not done these levels) that when I started looking at the idea that there were these outside influences attached to me, it really had me in a weird state of mind for a while, kinda like having invisible ants crawling on you or something. So yeah, just the idea of such things I think could destabilize an individual and cause them to loose it if they really got into a paranoid kinda feedback loop on the idea.
As I said in the previous post. I do no think the OT Levels were well conceived. Are their entities (BTs) - perhaps, but I believe Hubbard misidentified an aspect that belongs to the individual and is not some separate thing. I think what is being handled are of the individual's own creation, not some external entity. Could there be such external entities, yes, I think that is possible. If so, they can be addressed when they show up, there is no need to shove a person into something like that as it is a serious violation of "not evaluating for the person".
There are definite problems with Hubbard's work. I have no doubt about that. But there is within the work that he and others did that is useful.
Certainly the entire subject of spirituality is going to be an issue for those that are of the opinion that we are but mere biological organisms that are born and die just like an amoeba does.
Those that delve into this area of spiritual development of course have a different view. There is quite a lot of work being done in this field, work being done by psychologists and even physicists.
Xenu - fuck Xenu. If I run into him in my explorations I'll be sure to say "hi from Infinite" and let you know aboout it too!
