Speaking of empty cult buildings.....

A current view would be good. This photograph goes back to 2007 at least when it was home to the Ideal insurance company. Now reports of long grass and neglect.

Where did I see a picture of the Gateshead Org? The Birmingham planning department might be interested in seeing it. And now off course it's quite clear that donations are not tax-exempt. :)

Things are not going well for the cult in England.

Not sure about the link but it is along Moor Green Lane to the left and up to the roundabout and again to the left. A whole big wooded area.

When this street view was taken in 2008 it didn't look too bad. Someone was still cutting the grass.

This is a HUGE building. No pedestrian traffic, surrounded by expensive one-family homes, valued £600,000 upwards. Ripe for conversion into flats and more villas in the grounds.

This is all part of the demise. David Miscavige is so stupid - spending $4 plus million in one city - sitting vacant for 5 years - parishoner's paid for it - they have to maintain it - cut grass etc...and give more money for reno's. Bought at the peak of the real estate market right before it's collapse.

This is the Science of "knowing how to know"? The Admin tech being applied spot on? Holy Moly! S-T-U-P-I-D!!!

It was stupid but we are happy it was done - it will kill the cult all the faster. Tick Tock Tick Tock!

Picked up from WWP today. More at the link.

An investigative reporter phoned David Love today concerning the delayed opening of what the Church of Scientology is calling “Advanced Organization Saint Hill Canada.” In 2009, the international Scientology organization purchased the former Hockley Highlands resort and is renovating it to accommodate its national administrative office, currently located in Toronto.

The massive complex, which consists of 196 acres of land and about 160,000 sq. ft. of building space, will have the capability to hold “several hundred” guests and will require 200 staff members to operate.

http://www.orangeville.com/news/local/article/964740--resort-to-become-scientology-retreat

To date, however, no trucks or vans have been seen going in or out of the new retreat to indicate that renovations have begun — only a few bags of garbage have sporadically appeared at the roadside.
...

Another lame-duck Scientology purchase in Montreal has been sitting idle, with no funds to renovate the La Patrie building, which is located at 182 St. Catherine Street East and was acquired in 2007 for 4.25 million dollars.

Moar from the same WWP thread. Good stuff. Thank you Anonymous poster.

Lately they seem to be having some sort of cash flow issues as indicated by almost self destructive calls for more donations when every member is at the end of their tether with it.

Other small irregularities in their usual behaviours also seem to indicate that the bottomless pit of cash may indeed be near empty. Normally they don't shy away from throwing money at legal issues to gag and go away them. They curiously don't seem as eager to do that right now.

Plans for renovating delapidated buildings are seemingly permanantly stalled, and the Super Power Building is opening when now? Where then is the regging money and general COS income being directed?

My speculative answer is all monies are flowing directly to the banks to put a stopper in the leaking boat that is Miscavidges Titanic. My bet is that he has all his dwarflike fingers and toes crossed that the real estate market turns around. I think his greed and arrogance got the better of him and he leveraged the shit out of COS property on a mammoth and international scale. I think its not completely far fetched to think that they are one massive Interest default from the end of Miscavidges rule, and the COS as we know it

MOAR!

Gateshead, Birmingham, Hockley Highlands, Montreal, now Chicago. Where else?

From another thread in ESMB

http://www.pdfhost.net/index.php?Act...0b5f20334bd3af

Chicago tells the C of S IL to bring the subject premises into full compliance with the Municipal Code of the City of Chicago or sell the subject premises by 8/1/2013

They are apparently in violation of the city codes having to do with vacant buildings. Link here:

These buildings are empty in the USA and other countries where the cult have tax-exempt status. But in the countries where CoS do not have this status they rent out the building space to non-Scientology firms.

Scientology have responded to the Birmingham Mail story.

http://www.birminghampost.net/news/west-midlands-news/2012/09/26/church-of-scientology-pledges-to-invest-6m-in-moseley-mansion-65233-31903756/

What's really interesting is that Scientology have hired a PR company, who deny they are doing PR for Scientology. I guess Graeme Wilson is not trusted to deal with it anymore. I wonder how much this PR company will charge them for doing Graeme Wilson's job.

Meanwhile, Edgbaston-based Willoughby Public Relations has been appointed by the church and confirmed the firm had been hired to liaise with planners from architects Broadway Malyan over the future of the mansion.

Julia Willoughby, chief executive of the PR company, said in a statement: “We are working with the planning team on the community consultation for the change of use of 123, Moor Green Lane, Moseley from a B1 to D1 use. (offices to educational use)

“Our role is to ensure that the consultation process is carried out properly and that local people get an opportunity to feedback on proposals.

“In doing this work, we are not doing PR for the Church of Scientology, but providing the necessary communication channels to inform and gather comments for the planning submission.”

Ms Willoughby confirmed that the PR agency had been hired by the Church of Scientology.

Be patient DB.

Do you think we have been purchasing and renovating (historical and expensive) buildings all over the world....for nothing?

To the contrary. You must be jesting.

Suppose, just for example, OT IX was secretly released on Feb. 25th of 2010, to a select group of OT III's. And say, not just a few. And suppose that now, well, in the very near future, armed with this newly minted army of OT IX's Scientology is about to unleash a demonstration of SUPER POWERS unlike anything this world has ever seen, at any time along the entire time track.

Think the Huffington Post running stories (and pictures) of thousands and thousands and thousands of people all around the world swarming the Ideal Orgs, beating on their doors, begging to be let in, for Scientology auditing.

Ok? nuff said?

much love,
Horacio

Yeah, let's look at the possibilities. They might be getting all set up to put a Narconon there........That would get everyone interested!

“It’s well known protocol that when you have a legal situation such as this (the death of Patrick Desmond), that’s so devastating, you need to contact church representatives from the Office of Special Affairs or the local director of Special Affairs which,” he said, pointing to the address line on the email memo,” is done here. “It goes to Narconon International, ABLE International, to the local church and to the church international through the Office of Special Affairs.”
The memo to which Catton referred was held under court seal in the wrongful death lawsuit filed by Patrick Desmond’s family at Narconon’s request and was released only last month.
Another memo released at the same time also indicates the intertwined nature of Narconon and the Church of Scientology as well as ABLE’s active hand in the minutia of Narconon of Georgia’s affairs.

Entitled “Things That Shouldn’t Be,” the memo chronicles Reiser’s difficulties with another Scientologist, Maria Delgado. The Desmond family contends when Reiser could not obtain a state license for an inpatient drug and alcohol treatment facility......"

Sorry if this is a derail. Well I spose it's s derail for Narconon
