Ah. Brings back fond memories. The first time I was on the RPF's RPF I was 17 years old. I got put on some nasty work and hard labor. We were pounding concrete slabs trying to remove them (They were raised concrete sections in the old CLO building at PAC). 10 hours a day at it.

I don't know how many times I was on the RPF's RPF. I lost count. I would say at least 5 different times between 1989 and 2001.

Then the lovely rats alley cleaning.

We need some video footage of the rats alley. There is nothing like it.

I was on the RPF's RPF once, briefly, back at the beginning of 1989 in Clearwater.

Shortly thereafter while doing ethics conditions I realized that I wanted to prematurely end my Sea Org career. I was only about 1 year into the billion year contract.

Even though wanting to leave the S.O., I was still very much a believer at that point and had the strong (and genuine) intention of becoming a power FSM, and continuing my work to expand Scn into other countries.

But shortly after announcing my decision to leave the Sea Org I was swiftly routed over to Security and tossed out on the street (with my Goldenrod

That was the best thing that anyone in Scientology EVER did for me during my 10 years in.

While I greatly miss some of my friends I had within the CoS at that time, it was a great opportunity to reconnect with my family which I had alienated over the preceding 10 years by applying Scientology.

The longer I'm out of the COS, the more I have come to realize the destructive nature of the various humiliation processes.

If you're assigned a lower condition or taken off post or sent to the RPF or the RPF's RPF, you are publicly humiliated. This happens again and again and again to any staff or SO member.

I have found the long term effects to cause people to withdraw, become meek, and to readily almost eagerly admit to personal shortcomings.

The punishments of Scientology are confidence-stripping. I see it in those newly out of the cult--they carefully couch their explanations for leaving, as if leaving the cult is some horrible overt act. (That's how I felt after leaving--as if I was pleading my case to LRH, begging for understanding and forgiveness.)


I think it's a mark of recovery when someone simply states that the COS just plain sucked--no explanation, no humility, just a confident, "Boy did I screw up, I left because those guys are assholes in about 1 thousand ways."

Karen that is the most hard hitting, truthful and revealing exposé of the disgusting scenario hidden within the cult of Scientology I've seen. This tops all of the prior videos in my view.

As I now consider it, I can only say there is NO justification for that behavior by ANY group of human beings . . . it is truly an insane situation that this conduct is being carried out by the "leaders" and senior management of the Scientology cult operations against their fellow human beings.

It is such a tragedy that such power is in the hands of insane leadership and management there. I saw the beginnings of it in 1968 in the UK . . . power in the hands of the insane to which group members had no real recourse . . . even though "policy" says there is "recourse" . . . the actuality is that once you are mislabeled as an "ethics particle," you are in actuality cut off from any availability of recourse . . . that's what I saw and experienced in London/UK in '68-'69. This because "your only terminal" available to obtain recourse is from the idiots who are enforcing the wrong label on you.

And then, from '82 onwards it became even more intensely insane wherein absolute evil was added to the mix of the practice of the cult's subjugation and domination "ethics" tech.

So we have at least 45 years of the developmentof this scourge. I believe it existed in the 50's from the reports I have read, and was a psychopathology carried by Hubbard himself per a glimpse we can get in the stories about how he treated Polly his first wife.

This is a chromosone if you will, or trait, that instigates and perpetrates so much harm on so many levels in the world. A core factor of man's inhumanity towards not only our species but others as well.

Thus I find it absolutely amazing that given the facts and perponderance of additional evidence, that there are approx 20 'educated' men and women gathered in a court room, a room meant to be used as a forum for applying reason and respect in order to guide equity and sensible actions. Yet these, our fellow educated humans, are forthrightly spitting on the very foundation which provides their livelihood.

Yes, I understand the adversarial aspect of the system, it has its merits. But to what end? This is not justice to the efforts of good men, but a teasonous effort to enable the blackness of the heartless.

Totally true Roger. This last round in the Texas courts, regardless of outcome, is simply another dagger into the heart of the abusive COS practices.

It is what I saw and experienced in late 1967 and '68. This was at the time of the first SO missions . . . it is written up elsewhere on ESMB.

Prior to the creation of the SO there was relative civility among Scientologists.

Yes, with the advent of the "management tech" of '65 and the practice of writing "ethics chits" and the Department of Inspection and Reports, there occurred an insanity of blasting away at people with make-wrong chits . . .

It is amazing how humans do drop into attacking that which they do not understand or otherwise do not comprehend . . . and that precisely because they do not understand it. It's as though the non-understanding produces in their small little minds so much charge they automatically react with attack . . . quite shocking to observe, actually.

Of course, we now know about Hubbard's ill treatment of his first wives and those he consorted with pre-1952 or so.

But it is the organizational insanity that he brought into being that is shocking . . . and to be honest, it did not particularly manifest in the outer orgs (we now know bad shit was being pulled aboard the ship just prior to then) until that first SO mission in late 1967 to GO WW and then its later trip into London.

Great video, Karen - I'm glad you included the video footage of the guy you knew. As I recall, it was originally titled something like "scientologist goes crazy", but what some people may not have known or understood, is he did exactly as he was taught. Other on-the-street videos have shown exactly the same 'what are your crimes' attacks, typically asking or telling the other person 'you're a pedophile, aren't you. You beat your wife. I can tell' and this kind of thing. It went exactly by the book.

Now, this behavior is known by many more than before, and it is important to know -- especially now, and how it fits into the court cases. Attack those suing, attack the lawyers, the witnesses, and anyone else that is part of the opposition. But in this scenario, it's also their job to get the Judge to rule in their favor. These two things are not compatible. We are now seeing Judges get smart to their antics very quickly, and the fear they'd worked so long and hard for is all but forgotten. 15 lawyers will not impress a Judge, but it may illustrate the loose money, and desperation to prevail. Both bad indications of good morals.

To an ex-Scieno, like myself, this is actually a very important tape.

While in, one becomes so indoctrinated into compartmentalizing thinking that you don't realize how much of your own thinking you shut off.

For example, if I were confronted with someone who questioned whether Scientology was valid, I would immediately go into some sort of pre-programmed handling AND pre-programmed understanding. I would handle my response extremely carefully.

If someone had said, "Scientology is just a money making scam for L Ron Hubbard." Internally, my brain would jump to a variety of canned conclusions or methods because I'd want to avoid any bad PR or any PTS situation and I'd be quite scared that I'd mis-handle it OR I'd be overly hopeful that I could handle it and end up with a new Scientologist.

The last thing I'd do would be to simply speak to the person like a normal human being.

The OTVIII in the video was frantically throwing out any ammunition he could think of and his responses were irrelevant to the questions being asked. If he wasn't a member of a paranoid group (Scientology), he could have simply answered the questions in a friendly manner. It's not a crime to get auditing or believe that it works.

A key problem with being a Scientologist is that the belief in the workability of Scientology gets thrown into believing that the practices of the COS is a very good thing. It's very cultish.

Totally obvious that the men and women in Congress in Washington are abnegating their responsibility while they have coffee with the lobbyist from Scientology front groups.
