John Travolta in the Daily Mail

Attempting suicide, yes. I think for accidents and illness, no. But they sure think "they pulled it in".

Many of the staff that I dealt with while in charge of staff welfare.... Those who really did have physical conditions and were near death had their own ideas about getting well and getting back to post. I did not see them being pushed to get back to work. But they would push themselves to get better and go back on post. These were terminally ill staff with cancer or other conditions.

JT has put up with a lot in Scn. He gets love-bombed whenever he is at CCI and has friends who are on staff there. Not many cared for his wife though. They did not seem to like her.

I remember when Jett was about 4 he was getting some kind of auditing at CCInt... I was not involved in any way, but I saw him in the hall by the examiner and he was bouncing off the walls and rolling on the floor screaming. Poor kid.

I'm really embarrassed to say that I would have been the same at one time. In the real world I have seen a few people working for charities acting the same, especially for small charities. People really angry about their illness because the poor little pussy cats will suffer. I think it's a mental health issue and refusal to confront the impending death and a need to be needed.

I feel for the Travoltas, I really do. How painful to lose a child.

However, the article that was in the US quoted Ms. Preston as saying the following, then went on to elaborate:
"I strongly believe as a mother, as does my husband, that there are certain contributing factors that lead to autism." For her, those included a bout with food poisoning while she was pregnant, her "fast and hard" labor, and taking antibiotics while breastfeeding.
Sad sad sad. And doing such a disservice to expectant mothers everywhere. "Avoid all medical treatment, lest your child get autism."

And, when I read the U.S. article, I totally pinged on that "minders for two years" situation. I would have been screaming after two days!

... lest your child get autism.
Not too derail this thread TOO much, but a link has been suggested between oxytocin and autism (as in, not enough of it causes it or it might be able to cure it).

I am following this subject and will report back if there is any news.

It really tees me off to think the Celebs get this special treatment and when anyone else loses a family member it is SOP: "People die...now get your stat up!" There is no care for other members - NONE!!

Thanks for reminding all of the brutal truth.

And, not only "People die...now get your stat up!" it would also likely be:

"People die...now get OUR stat up!
By making it go right
giving us money
to buy auditing
to handle your fucking case!

That correction was "spot on" Hoaxie! "GET OUR STAT UP" ... but may I correct that last statement?

"To handle your fucking case" ... should read....
"To handle OUR ever increasing BANK ACCOUNT"

the HELL WITH YOUR CASE -
you just give us ALL of your money now and don't be so fricken selfish -
you can deal with your stupid "case" next lifetime
you DB, panty waist dilettante!"

We Got a planet of BANK accounts to CLEAR!
Now let's get the SHOW ON THE ROAD!

Sorry to say that a death in Scn means:

1) Inheritance
2) Insurance payout
3) the upset family member will have money now to pay for auditing
4) they may have now gotten a house that they can also get several mortgages on

As someone never in Scientology, I have this question.

If someone attains "OT"in Scientology and they have a life crisis (like John Travolta) does the Church always send people to stay with you 24 hours a day for two years?

If that is true, it sounds like you really get a lot for your money. I never realized that Scientology gives so much care to all of its members.

HH, I'm sure they lovingly sent him the bill. I very much doubt anything came for free. Especially security actions for the church.

I dunno, I have a feeling that JT is quietly backing off from the church. Still in, just keeping his distance.

As ITYIWT said, Kelly may well be toting his balls in her purse (maybe right next to the handgun that's pointing at them). It may be more than that. Maybe JT doesn't want any of his private stuff being officially out in the public arena and is just toeing the line to keep things cruising along. His comments about the church "helping" him and his life sounds more like standard rote comments to me, instead of a passionate belief. Rather like sounding a bit tired of it all.

He seems to me to be like the old married couple who are kinda tired of each other (meaning him and the church ~ possibly KP too?). They want to split, but it's just too hard to deal with all their own perceptions of the changes and the fallout involved. So they just go with the same old miserable flow every day. Some folks just plod along peacefully, others just break out in all sorts of odd behaviour.

Anyone else think this way too?

It's quite possible. I don't see JT doing promotion of Scn like Cruise does. JT seems to just be doing his thing, these days, and living his life. He might feel he did his thing for Scn, with that crappy Battlefield Earth in 2000, and now wants to be left alone.

Scn might have blackmail on him, but do they really want JT to do a live TV interview where he says "Yes, it's all true. This is how Scn keeps celebs in line, by threatening blackmail", etc, etc, and then telling ALL he knows and ALL he's heard about DM. Mutually assured destruction. Does DM really want to go there?

I always feel sad for John Travolta. I believe he is trapped with stuff in his folders

But I don't get it with Kelly - I always thaught she was decent and smart :duh: How can she let CO$ have so much
control over them ?
:duh:

I've heard a celeb whine like a baby to ethics personnel at flag about something minor to do with his long-time girlfriend. Well the girlfriend of this jackass was called in and raked over the coals!
We know what happened with Nazanin Boniadi in her brief encounter with Cruise: after she offended Miscavige by asking him to repeat himself, she was dumped by Cruise and made to scrub toilets for amends, it is said.
It is likely that Kelly has been brainwashed into thinking she's lucky to have Travolta, and that he is so powerful and does so much for the cult that, by his mere image exposed to the world as a scientologist, he has truly changed the world and allowed millions of lives to be bettered. Whether told or if it was inferred, which can often be the case, she would be extremely hesitant to make any noise. She either believes it would be a huge fourth dynamic overt (crime against the entire world world), is afraid of what the cult would do to her and John. Either way, I think they are watched and babysat. But this status quo can't go on forever.

deleted - I decided it was too "entheta". Who needs more bad news, especially on valentines day? Kisses to all the girls who post here. Mimsey

It is done in the guise of what one would suppose is care, without being too cynical, I have seen this a number of times and could relay any number of stories about it. I have had first hand experience of it. At the time it does come across as genuine care and we were thankful for it. But now I have a different perspective on things and see things I didn't see so clearly before. In every case OSA was involved! Why? :duh:

That they were involved at each event was missed on me before.
