I thought John Sweeney was an excellent speaker. What a great choice to kick things off! What he had to say was very accessible - not merely because it could be understood by a 'wog' audience, but because he was his usual charming, charismatic and entertaining self. Job well done, Sir! He set a high standard for the days to come, but that's not a bad thing, eh?

In response to TG1, I have become a huge fan of Chris Shelton over the past few weeks. He's a great speaker.

Well, it would cost me three hundred to get there and hundreds more in accommodation, let alone food and transport, with no guarantee of entry if I've been seen with the wrong people. So maybe you could clarify who is welcome before I make that investment.

No, I said WBM was turned away for legal reasons, not personal ones. I don't know why Tom Smith was turned away, and I don't really care. You're the one who does - let's stay clear on that - so that's why I told you to ask

Apart from all the other comments on this thread as to the lack of validity (or even fraudulent nature of the "injunction") used, umm, this action by her and the Dep. Sheriff is a violation of Constitutional Guarantees of right of assembly and association . . . fer krissakes! It has nothing to do with the original "Cause" and injunction against Mark regarding his demonstrating at the Flag Land Base properties . . . like 50+ miles away.

I am saddened that this wonderful opportunity to truly strike a big blow at the cult has been, is being, screwed up by this woman. And I am not going to get into any analysis of the screw-ups and dropped balls I am seeing in the parade so far. Though I am glad to see others who are better informed than me have called the scene on her as it truthfully seems to be.

I was invited to go and speak at this event and for various reasons did not go/could not attend (my instincts also warned me against reordering my affairs to attend) . . . I am actually now glad I didn't go.

The failure on the part of the audio is inexcusable . . . that is such known tech that to have not gotten the sound system right is stupid. That unless there is a direct feed from the mics to a recorder that will be released later.

We sold our house. We listed it on Tuesday, and the following Saturday we had 2 full price offers. One for cash. WOW! That activity, and that of finding a place to move into quickly in this insane hot real estate market here, prevented me from attending.
I'm sorta glad I didn't go. This Laura chick seems an unlikely choice for a "Hostess", or whatever she calls herself being.

Who is she anyway? I am not familiar with her . . . is she an Ex-Scn? If so what did she do on lines? The thread shows she posts over at WWP, but not here??

Umm, also you current real estate capers show you have the much vaunted Scn "make it go right" thingie :yes: :biggrin:

I would have thought that would have sufficed. Is it a public conference or not? Is there some fine print that I need to talk to the organiser about? She is the one advertising a public conference yet treating it like a private party.

I would certainly have cared more if I'd decided to go. And I have to be honest - I'm glad I did not.

No, I'm eager to get you an answer to your question, which is basically the opposite of shutting you up. I have suggested several times that you ask your question to the person to whom you wish to ask your question, which would require you to speak up. I even provided contact information.

I do agree with you that there has been enough unpleasantness already.
