Take a look back through this topic and you should find quite a bit of "what happened to...". It's 50 pages so might take a while but if you've got the time go for it. I've found it interesting to see what's happened to various staff members during the times I was public.

I recently heard that Perry was off staff because he was busted again for out 2d with a student or pc or intern or something. Maybe he was channeling the spirit of Dave Scimemi.

Looks like they are selling off all the crap in the old building. I guarantee most of that is stuff that parishioners were going to throw away and donated to the org instead. Or stuff staff brought in and left there. I can't recall the org ever buying a stick of furniture when I was there. Heather says somewhere in there that they are moving in mid-August.
Man, though, I wish I had the balls to buy some of that stuff. It's been almost 15 years since I've been in there, but I recognize a lot of those fixtures and furniture. I'd love to have the fireplace things.
10 classic solid oak desks. I guarantee I called at least a couple of them mine at various points.

And these gals put in the extra hours, the late hours, the weekend hours, the crying, the ignored kids, 1 AM phone calls for income, weird husband crap, the weird 2D stuff, the endless condition assignments, the no sleep Wednesdays, the silly, preposterously silly stat games over and over and over, illegal pc rules, best friends blowing staff, best friends picketing with anonymous.
I certainly can respect the extent of their dedication but not the content. Sorry ladies, you is on the wrong bus and you can yell all you want but you are going in the wrong direction.
Too bad Scientology is so screwed up that you can't really get together with old friends to share war stories or save from a lifetime of great effort.

That furniture and fixtures she's selling are from the already renovated 5th floor HGC, completed around 2000.
I donated thousands to that renovation and they did a swell job creating about 15 auditing rooms, 13 of which were empty at all times. I used to solo audit up there while retreading some stupid course or something.
If I didn't show up once in a while for course, they would write a KR to Flag that I was CI to Boston.
In any case, the HVAC system, roof and other systems were totally up to date, all done by staff, volunteers and some paid contractors. With the 5th floor completed, they were to work down floor by floor on the renovation.
It was all painfully slow, but at least something seemed to be happening, considering how dead the org was and is, the fact that they got as far as they did was somehow admirable. But as soon as Ideal Org started being talked about, that was the end of the renos on Beacon.
Now they're selling off all the donated construction equip. And the nice furnishing from the 5th floor.
Where are they moving to in August?

I think the middle one is Kit Figuredo/Finn/whatever. She was super nice.
Joan I knew very well from the CLO. She was nice, but when in product officer mode could be tough as hell. But fair in the sense that she was never really sadistic that I saw.
Maggie was around for the first part of my staff career, but like Phyllis and Nan, was on Day org, so I didn't have much direct interaction. Phyllis I never really liked much, but I found Nan to be a cool person.
Heather, yeah, she was my direct or indirect senior for most of 17 years. Also had lots of dealings with her outside the org via kid stuff. So it was an odd relationship. I got screamed at and berated by her more times than I could possibly remember. And yet I have endless memories of sitting around joking with her and laughing our heads off. Many times I saw both sides of her in the same day.

Heather and I came in right around the same time, back in 1978 or '79, and all my memories of her are good ones as I never really had to deal with her ever as my senior. (I've heard some stories though and am grateful I never did have her as a senior)
We drove together from Boston to Toronto in a Toyota, along with Jon DeVries, Cary Goulston, and I believe Janet Francis, to work with the bookselling team up at Toronto org for most of a week and it was more fun than I usually had as a staff member. Also, we were on the TTC together for some months over at Miami Org (when the TTC'er's were being sent to Miami for some reason).
Speaking of Cary, I'm glad I never had HIM as my senior. I heard horror stories from those who had to deal with him when he became the CO SMI EUS.
Jon had come in just after me. When I was on the "Up's and Down's in Life" Course (an SP/PTS handling for the Public Division) I had to do a PTS Handling on someone to finish the course. I went around the org searching for someone who was sick and found Jon who had a cold.
So I did the handling on him after which he promptly disconnected from two people.

Yeah, I left soon after those new auditing rooms were completed. So a lot of that new stuff is not so familiar to me. But the older lighting fixtures, fireplace irons, some of the older furniture and stuff, is such a part of my past. Stuff I'd see 7 days a week for year after year. All the Sunday night white gloves. All the amends cleaning and painting. There are so many parts of that building I can recall in far sharper detail than I can any room of the house I now own and have lived in for years.

Obviously the Idle Org building is still a shell even though the current org building has already been sold and has a closing date. Would love to find out where this "transitional" location will be. Given the high cost of rental space in and around Boston, I can only imagine it'll cost a bundle to rent some location temporarily. And, typically, commercial leases are not month-to-month but are multi-year. Going from a fully paid building to an expensive rental will be quite a feat.
From the second image, rather than planning ahead, it's just another typical Hill 10. Rather than maximizing the income from selling what are antiques and/or valuable furnishing through an auction house, Heather is just taking a "best offer" approach. Sheesh! Maybe I should head over to see what I can get through this fire sale. I don't see why they won't let me in since I never did get nor was shown the goldenrod I deserved.

Huh... I'd missed the "transitional" part. Man, they're just doing themselves in. Well, I'm sure it will be no problem to pay the mortgage on the new building, while paying rent on the temp space, while raising money to renovate the new building. And trying to keep the stats up while going through all the changes.
I'd love to know where they are going. They'll need a space with multiple course rooms, quiet auditing rooms, secure storage. I wonder what they'll do about the Purif. Run it out of a health club? I guess that's been done in the past and in other smaller orgs, but must be a serious PR problem. Clubs I've been to clearly state 15 minute maximum time in the sauna.

OK, I had an interesting conversation today out of the blue. I have lots of answers to many of your questions and other info.
This is NOT OK, the fifth floor renos were completed in early 2004. I know because I worked on them, I did a lot of work on the renos.

I'll start with where they are moving to.
They are moving into a warehouse in the warehouse district just past Mass General Hospital.
The new org has had absolutely nothing done to it except they had to tear down a portion of it because of threat of collapse.
Recently Mary Hogarty Poosti Smith, ex ED of Boston Day and was ED of Wtchita, died recently of liver cancer. RIP
Jan Borowski Magerowski died several years back. I didn't find out why
John Magerowski is an auditor in NY.
Elaine Merkel is now the Treas Sec again and only working part time, 3 days a week.
Chuck Angus, for those of you who knew him, has left staff, is disaffected, doesn't go to the org but still lives nearby.
Mary Francis Newey divorced Dave Newey, joined the Sea Org but was kicked out. What do you have to do to be kicked out of the SO?
Perry Yeldham is no longer on staff. He was Comm Ev'd for having sex with his PC in session. He is no longer married.
Linda Colburn is the only tech terminal who delivers auditing, C/S's and runs the HGC and is the sole auditor. Out Tech much?
Day org is down to 12 staff and not doing well at all. Graham Parker is still the ED.
Foundation is doing well but that's because they exploit Delphi and for no other reason.
The person I spoke to is of the same opinion that I am that they will never renovate the new org. They have tapped their field dry, regged them to ARCX'en public.
I posted some time back that Heather Landry's daughter had died of a heroin OD. That information is false, she is still alive, now has porno boobs and has joined the Air Force.
For those of you who knew Nanette Ciano, former Dof T Day, she is off staff and out of Scientology after years of abuse. She only did it to help people and she never got enhancement.
Day org has no Div 6.
I think the same is true for Fnd. The ED can correct me if I'm wrong when she joins ESMB, never.
They are selling everything they can because they have no money for renos. I guess Dave kept the 12 million or whatever.
Many of their whales are gone.

EDIT: The once mighty DSA in Boston is down to Paul Bradford, that's it. In the old days they commanded an entire floor in the org. They are a bit toothless in Boston DSA.
