Illegal Alien might give us a rundown on any specific ways in which the SA government differs from Australia’s.

After leaving the SO in 1981 I was asked to return to the FLB and assist them in the inspection and purchase with their new ship. I felt rather bad at the time as it was shortly after the death of LRH so I returned with my wife and 3 children and flew to Clearwater from South Africa

But after 3 months I had enough and one morning we packed our bags and quitly left and returned to SA. I was completely bankrupt as it cost me a fortune so I went to see a lawyer and got him to send them a letter both to FLB and the local org threatening to sue the church and demanded they pay the money back that I spent on travel.

2 weeks later I received a phone call from my local org and told to come and collect my cheque. They paid back all my travel expenses. But the best thing about the entire experience is that I got scientology out of my blood.

Attacking the church worked for me. I am not afraid of any of them. You must attack back as hard as you can.
 
I think "Illegal Alien" is in Australia. Visitation rights are only helpful if you can get a visa to come to the USA (and pay for a plane ticket and get the time off of work).

So long as it is not a fight for full custody then this should be reasonably straightforward. It really is up to the mother to prove why the father is unfit to ever see their children and it is her that will be on the back foot without a doubt.

He has to do this anyway. If he doesn't and leaves it for too long, doing nothing but posting on internet forums, then the mother can later claim that he abandoned them and doesn't show any interest. Keep up the pressure and document it.

Scientology, especially through its front groups, claim to support and promote human rights and they specifically make big play on the UN UDHR guidelines.
They are hypocrits. and last time I checked, scientology was not some country within a country with some sort of diplomatic immunity.

Article 16 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:

(3) The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.

Please tell me where there is a law which allows a religion to come between a family to the point of issuing dissconection orders like they mean shit to anyone.

IA, my heart goes out to you. Another horrendous story courtesy the sea of $hit.

IMHO, the sea of $hit is striking out hard now, out of fear. They are attacking the little people, because they can. Look at it as desperation time, flailing fists, striking at the easiest targets.

I know that does not alleviate YOUR suffering, at all. Yet you chose to stand your ground . . .

I admire your courage to make a stand, anyway, and face this terrible consequence, this strike, in order to bring an end this sea of $hit, the di$connection, the abuses and trafficking.

OMG IA i am so saddened by this story, :( i can only imagine how you are feeling and assume my father felt the same when he recieved the disconnection letter my sister and i were forced to write to him, and he has never even been declared an SP. I truely hope it works out for you and your children, i am so glad my children have nothing to do with them and hopefuly never will.

my thoughts are with you, and like Div6 said, "We are here for you"

This is standard operating basis for Co$. This pressure on families (to disconnect) did not start, nor escalate, with the coming of Anonymous nor the recent media attention.

Anti-family actions such as this is WHY many people protest the Church of Scientology and why Co$ has so many critics.

It's not sadness or rage that overwhelms me when I read this kind of stuff. It's nausea and disgust. IT IS SICKENING what is happening to you, Illegal Alien. It is sickening that your ex-wife stood there like a fucking deer in the headlights and took her orders to destroy the relationship between you and your children. It is sickening that people are willing to do that, to read a piece of paper and then without even the slightest hesitation, to lower the hatchet of disconnection.

How the hell does this keep happening? Where is that speck of humanity that would NEVER allow ANYTHING to rip apart a parent-child relationship? Why aren't Scientologists rebelling EN MASSE at this stuff, standing shoulder to shoulder and REFUSING to go along with this inhumane behavior?

That is the thing I have never understood, why church members continue to let this stuff happen. In all my protest days my message was consistent: I am not protesting against you, I am protesting FOR you! I'm protesting for YOUR rights! YOU should be out here protesting the abuses of your fellow church members - not me! It's YOUR church and YOU should be doing something about it!

Grrrr!

This is reason #6 why I hate Scientology.

In Europe, child protection agencies would take the idea of a cult trying to cut the connection between a parent and child very seriously. Take advice.
 
I can't imagine the pain you must be going through over the heartbreak your children are suffering! If a supportive prayer helps, you've got it.

Because I'm sure the Scilons would say that disconnection is a not-unknown religious practice, I got curious about what other "groups" might practice shunning and was interested to learn that the Moonies and Hare Krishnas -- cults -- practiced shunning in some form. A Wiki article talks about the Amish practice of shunning - note that you can still "interact with and even help" a shunned person:

Excommunicated members are shunned to shame the individual into returning to the church. Your post moved me to tears IA - I am so very sorry.

I do want to add that I think you carried yourself well and I am very impressed. You did all that you could and what you said will matter and will be with her. I bet you, I BET you - you WILL see her again. Don't give up hope. Five more years and try again. Don't give up.
 
Anyone experiencing any of this kind of stuff, please record the phone conversations with the church or family members or friends calling to disconnect. Take it to the media, put it on Youtube, send it to Senator Xenophon....just get it out there for others to hear.....this shows the church is lying and more people will take notice.

Have they come to not having people write disconnection letters anymore because this can be used as evidence?.....so now it's being done in phone calls? (No paper trail?)

Tape their phone calls.
