Rick was on Boston lines when I came onlines and someone I really liked and admired. He got declared SP back in the early 80's. I just found some contact info for him and was about to contact him, then I see that he apparently signed up as a WISE Member back in 2003. http://stop-wise.biz/Prosperity_60.html
Does anyone have any current info on him and know whether he's in or out?

Ok thanks for letting me know. When I first joined this forum and saw you had an Avatar of a women and called yourself Uniquemand I thought it meant that you were a transvestite. I don't think that now though.

Don't laugh, but we have a few of those in Anonymous.

Thought I was going for a Barbara Schwarz joke, didn't you?

Dunno, but I'm answering your question with a question......
When I first came into Boston org as a public in 1978 or 79 there was a guy "Peter" who worked in Div6 who was a very good drummer. Can't think of his last name but was wondering whatever happened to him. Does anyone know who I am talking about?

Larry

Scotty Chinchar? He was a drummer and worked in Div 6, later joined the Sea Org, was an FSC Reg in San Francisco in the 1980s. No idea what he is up to now.

There was a guy in the GO who played drums too, but I forget his name. He played in a band with Bill Bromfield (Guardian Bsn). Bromfield got wasted when the whole GO thing blew up.

Scotty's sister, Sherry, was the PES in Div 6 Day in the mid-late 1970s. She ended up in Clearwater in the 1980s, involved with the Tampa Mission as I remember.

Peter Graves was an auditor with Bsn Day aroud the same time period who I believed played saxophone? He got involved in that large Flynn class action lawsuit against the Church, with the Garritanos and others.

Ah, so many fond memories . . . . .

I remember Bill Bromfield. Wow that names a blast from past.

I think Pete Cielinski (not sure of spelling) was a drummer and did some work in the GO.

Sherry ended up marrying Chip Payson, lives in CW and is still active in scn as far as I know.

Unbeliever
Fay Magerowski: daughter of Johnny Mags and Maggie? She is CUTE! Funny, I think I remember her when she was about four, running around the org a few times. Jeff Mahler has looked better than that pic, I remember him well. Jessie Cuddy looks like she got hit by a bus, I remember her being on the Class IV course when I was the Course Admin at Boston. Time has done some no favors. I remember Mark Boucher, well. He and I were of an age, and good friends. His wife, Debbie, opened the Boston Academy for Literacy and the Arts with my ex-wife, Nitza.

I was hoping he was out. It amazes me that people continue to stay in the Church, but then I remember how they knew what happened to people like me, and maybe if I had known what was coming, really, I might have stayed too, out of fear of loss of my wife and children. I just never really believed people would actually abandon each other in favor of a Church.

yeah, amazing to see all the kids who used to run around the org while their parents were working, now all grown up. feeling old.

Pooks,

Thanks for posting all the pics. Many people going back to my time as public back in the 80's & early 90's. What ever happened to Fran McKay? (also married to Carl Bredemeier who went off to Flag or some such many years ago followed by a short stint with Stan Booth)? She & I started in scn just about the same day which is why I remember her -- both of us in the basic course room.

Wasn't Pete Cielinski a keyboardist rather than a drummer? I think he spent more time driving a cab to feed the org reg's. I think one of my early doubts about the whole scam was wondering about his perpetual nasal allergies :bigcry: (bless you, need another tissue?) that never let up even though he was goin' up the bridge & getting trained.

Pete also helped fuel some of my doubts. While I was working with him in the Cambridge Mission, I noticed all of the problems he had with his sinuses, I also noticed that he was "Clear", and the tech said Clears don't get sick. To me this didn't quite add up.

He did give me an appreciation of how hard cabbies worked and some of the dilemmas they faced.

anyone!

Back in 1973 or 74 - there was a young woman named Julie who was Boston staff either D of P or D of T who went OT at Aola, is she IN or OUT-now? Any other details of what she did after the early 70's up to now?
Thanks.

One of you -- really curious.

Interesting bit of happening today: Paul Bradford came waltzing out of the org today during the raid all friendly at first, then says to another anon that I'm following their staff home.

It seems that, while this may seem like ego at first, that I am the single most annoying and terrifying thing that they face in Boston.

Yet what a wonder it does for the ego.

You can't kill terror, paul, and terror is what I am.

Wow, I love how you always take away the completely wrong thing from conversations.

Paul Bradford said he would be willing to meet with one of us to talk about things HE can change to make US want to play nice and clam down a little bit. So, on the off chance that he really goes through with it, I would love to hear everyone's suggestions on what needs to change specifically at the Boston Org. I will also accept general changes that need to happen in Scientology, but "GO AWAY" is not really helpful for these purposes.

Well, this is of course standard 'handling'; 'What's your upset?'

For practical purposes I'd say you say, 'Look, the problem isn't the Boston Org specifically; it's Scientology itself. So, there's not a lot either you or we can do about that. However, In the interest of a more civil civil protest, you could drop the harassment of protesters, the 'investigation' and stalking; the bullbaiting, the threats. Let your people know that what we're doing here is perfectly legal expression of our disgust with the 'Church' of Scientology and its practices and that they should do everything they can to remain polite and we'll do the same. Just nice calm legal protests with no drama. You could even offer us lemonade and we'll bring cookies and cake.'

Hey Blue,
Paul Bradford was there in Boston back when I had been there 25 years ago! My only conversations with him were smalltalk, but he seemed like a very nice guy. As its been so long since I've been in Boston (1986?) I can't give suggestions specifically for Boston. One thing that comes to mind is that he should read (if he hasn't already) the message to OSA from Janis that was up on this board in the past week. She originally posted it on the XSO Board and I believe she is one of the original Commodores Messengers. But if he is serious about wanting to help (and it's not just a PR handling) then he needs to read that letter. (I'll post the link later when I get a chance to find it).
EDiT: Can't find the link this moment, but here's the actual letter:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Message to OSA

I have attached a copy of the California civil rights handbook so you know the civil rights of anyone living in
California - which are currently being violated.

http://ag.ca.gov/civilrights/pdf/01cr_handbook.pdf

LRH stresses in many policies and Flag Orders, not violating the laws of the land. Another good reference
is The Way to Happiness. It is NOT an overt to do the right thing. You as a person will feel better by doing
the right thing to help stamp out the abuse.

OSA, it is your job to protect Scientology, it is not your job to protect anyone who is acting unlawfully.
The abuse going on at the base is not covered in the policies written by LRH that can be found in the HCO PL volumes.
Whoever reads this from OSA, I challenge you to call a meeting of OSA executives and work out how OSA and
any of your family connections in executive positions of Scn management can save your seniors at Int from this abuse,
this includes Heber (per the Scn website is still the President of CSI), who I have been informed has also been abused physically.
You have the legal means to do it now you just need the guts. Evil only has the power that you and other staff/execs give it.
If you all stood up together and refused to accept the penalties, then evil will have no power. Corporate structure of the various
Scn orgs and corporations are being violated and this will bring down the church as a whole - which means OSA, including you,
have not done their job in protecting Scn as a whole.

Reporting this email to DM, will not get rid of the abuse - in fact, it might make it worse as he will take his anger
out on others. Unusual solutions don't work. Go back to basics.

To read or not to read this booklet is your own choice and what you do about it, for your own sake
and the sake of friends or ex friends and family, it is on your own conscience. To not do something to stop the
abuse, and should outside intervention occur from California officals, then it will be on your conscience, as
you, could have taken action to stop the outside intervention from law enforcement.

When I was at the Int/Gold base, the kind of abuse that is going on, was unthinkable. Since the
abuse is coming from the top and those on the inside, have not been able to stand up to it, they
need outside intervention to get the abused knocked off. This is where you, OSA, must stand up
and do something.

OSA, I challenge you to Keep Scientology Working and do the right thing from the inside - the worst thing
that can happen to you, is you might get declared like others that tried to mutiny, but you know what - its
not as evil as your think out here in wogdom and if you need a place to rest your head, I will help you, as would
many other "SP".

I'd say the problem is that they play this stupid fucking waiting game. the recent activity is actually surprising. sure, it should stop, but I wish they'd be more consistent more than anything else. Yelling's fun, especially AT real people instead of a brick building.

generally I find yelling at clams counter productive. And, not particularly fun. But, maybe that's just me.
