CofS has a list of Banned books? CofS Net nanny.

Voltaire's Child

Fool on the Hill
I remembered the Gods of Eden crackdown. But you know, when I was in CofS, I was told that if HUBBARD didn't write (whatever the situation du jour was) then it wasn't something I should refer to. So I didn't worry about forbidden books.

I remember one time on alt.religion.scientology I tried to explain that I had a couple critical books on my shelf-- I was in CofS then-- and the other person was quite surprised and wasn't sure if that could be the truth.

The GODS of EDEN by William Bramley

1984 George Orwell.

I read Gods of Eden about a decade ago. I liked it. There was a contact address in the back that was local. I went to it. It turned out to be a mailbox at a UPS Mailboxes Etc store at the corner of Prospect and Lawrence Expressway in west San Jose near an Orchard Supply. The mailbox was no longer valid.

There have been reports that a book entitled THE GODS OF EDEN, which contains off-beat materials, was being read and promoted by a few Scientologists who were not fully informed about the materials or the author.

This book includes data and concepts taken from Scientology materials without authorization such as conditions, the third party law and religion with graduated steps.

The author, William Bramley, whose real name is Tore Dahlin, is an ex-Scientologist and former staff member. Dahlin was also a member of a declared suppressive squirrel group for over 2 years and admitted to being in Scientology for the purpose of obtaining information from the Church to give it to the squirrel group.

He has a track of destructive behavior, causing enturbulation by spreading false and electrifying information on Church lines for which he was previously labelled PTS Type III.

Dahlin requested to be removed from staff because,. in his own words, he was "insane and a danger to the group" and had evil intentions towards fellow Scientologists and staff members.

He then left Scientology in the early 1980s as real Scientologists wouldnt let him carry on spreading his electrifying activities and information to other Scientologists.

In March 1994, over a decade after leaving the Church, he wrote and distributed a disavowal of the Church of Scientology in which he attempted to spread further entheta and false information. In HCO PL 23 December 196SRB, Rev. 8 January 1991, SUPPRESSIVE ACTS, SUPPRESSION OF SCIENTOLOGY AND SCIENTOLOGISTS, LRH states: "Such suppressive actr. Include: ... Public disavowal of Scientology or Scientologisto in good standing with Scientology organizations.

In HCO PL 7 February 1965, KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING, LRH states: "I recall one student who was squirreling on an Academy course and running a lot of offbeat whole track on other students after course hours. The Academy students were in a state of electrification on all these new experilences and weren't quickly brought under control, and the student himself never was given the works on Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten so they stuck. Subsequently, this student prevented another squirrel from being straightened out and his wife died of cancer resulting from physical abuse. A hard, tough Instructor at that moment could have salvaged two squirrel and saved the life of a girl. But no, students had the right to do whatever they pleased."

If you run across this book or a Scientologist who is reading it or promoting it, alert the International Justice Chief and ensure that the person is routed to the Cramming officer of his or her org and crammed/hatted on HCO PL 14 February 1965, SAFEGUARDING TECHNOLOGY and HCO PL 7 February 1965, KEEPING SCIENTOLOGY WORKING.

Cakemaker ,Just what i wanted to see, thankyou very much for this, its BRILLIANT!

Would anyone know whose initials are SEP:Sak?

Its interesting how he originated to leave, but other REAL scientologists wouldnt allow him to continue his actions. He wanted to leave , but others made him leave. Thats crazy speak.

Next Buddhism will be attacked for squirrel activities using TR0.

It says Type III but he wrote a book.

Its slanted with Bias and witholding showing detailed facts.

Fine example of mis-using power to harm.

The initials at the end refer to the hierarchy going from who typed it (in lowercase) to the final authority. In this case "sek" was the typist, "SEP" was the International Justice Chief" (I don't know who held the post in 1995), "AVCI" is Authorization, Verifications and Correction International and "CSI" is Church of Scientology International.

There was another book that was banned around the same time which was "Behold a Pale Horse" by William Cooper. I don't know much about that one.

Cheers again cakemaker, you are coming up with some goods.

Behold a Pale Horse by William Cooper .

Thanks for the info, i think i may have the names of SEP and even SEK, waiting for confirmation. Hopefully be able to expose the names soon.

The audio of behold a pale horse,
is worth listening to for parrallels to The Church of Scientology structure as a secret society, the initiation KSW1, the aligning of introduced goals and those goals more and more present as a reality, need to know basis of what is occuring in the society. Mysteries, secrets, confidentiality levels. Raw members under the illusion that they are superior. William Cooper lays it out step by step.

Hubbard was abusive and controlling at times, for sure. And I would never downplay that. But I gotta say...he didn't hold a candle to DM in that regard.

DM is extremely controlling. Psychotically so.

Hubbard established the policy. DM enforces it, self appointed.

I do believe Artists create the future or the now culture.

There is no way a nice guy could have taken the 'Helm' of CofS, it is designed to accomodate those without humanity or compassion, The COMMAND.

omfg....reading that Executive Directive....so odd to think that stuff used to scare the hell out of me. I actually felt SO ashamed when an OT "handled' me because I read the book. Some days I think it's just impossible to explain to regular folks how much of a bizzaro world Scientology really is...........

Yeah, odd to others , not us though, thats how the pressure is exerted/extorted, how much responsibility laid at your feet, you have to save the universe, the guy that told you was the self appointed GOD who should have known better. What i find odd is how so many of us feel/felt the guilt and its all kept hush hush under the carpet, when there is such an incredible strain.

If you read in Hubbards brainwashing manual how commands from a GOD like authority is the tool that installs massive fear and terror anxieties over accidently breaking the rules and going against that much power and make one OBEY!

There are rules rules rules crimes High Crimes you mustnt break from this authority and others grinding your face in how bad you are because your destroying the universe and making 'GOD' angry for breaking the COMMANDments 'GOD' set.You start to get the picture. The fear you felt was hyped up for you to OBEY and you and we did shaking.

Good difference spotted with the originator. Quite true.

Yes. The Author could be acting under "orders".

Once I escaped, and I started doing typing for uni students, if I was sufficiently familiar with the topic I was known for rewriting whole paragraphs.

At other times, I was just a grammar nazi on a mission to stop those illiterates from daring to boldly split infinitives that no man had split before.

If the whole subject was gobbledy-gook, I would type what I saw, and if a word was completely inde****able, that's what they got!

[Bragging rights] Although I lived a good 2-3 hours from the city, I had three or four different students who were prepared to travel to my place because they wanted me to do the work. [/Bragging rights]

I had one psychology student who was covering the events of Chelmsford Hospital, a subject on which I had been well-informed (for non-Ozzies this was the ultimate psychiatric gold-mine for CCHR).

She brought in an assignment for me to type up, and when she came to collect it the next day, being really proud of what she had written, she asked my opinion. I said, yes, it was very well written, but it failed to answer the question.

What do you mean?

The Question asks this, and you say this.

She sat in a corner of the office and totally rewrote it. I retyped it that night, and said, yes that answers the question.

She got a Distinction! :p

Another case was a two-pager for an essay contest, on architecture. The entrant didn't care about the money ($500), but wanted the prize noted on her CV. Again it ended up being a total rewrite, and after all the effort I said if whe won I expected to be taken to dinner. Two weeks later she walked in and placed a bottle of wine on the counter--pity I don't drink !!!
