David Cross heartily endorses Scientology at MTVu Awards

That was pretty hillarious, unfortunately only ex-Scientologists and critics could find the humor in that, since Scientologists would view it as just another Miscavige Nürmberg rally speech and non-Scientologists won't even know what language he is speaking.

Wow.

Was that the copy for a Flag promo? I mean, like, did someone transcribe a Flag promo piece and he read it as a joke?

My mind bent thinking of the people in the audience, then listening to his words, and thinking I am in the audience of a Flag World Tour Event. No. It's an MTV thing. No, it's a Flag World Tour thing.

I'm dizzy after that.

I really don't get how that is funny to anyone but exes. Some twisted minds still in the cult may even see it as flattering.

Watch it again and look at all the confused-looking people in the audience. That helped make it funnier for me.

Sorry, just didn't do it for me, he didn't say anything to make it seem like he was joking, maybe I'd have to know who he is to understand his humour. :confused2: Audience didn't think it funny either cos none of them knew WTF he was talkin' about. Or is the joke that he was actually being serious, that would be funnier. If it was supposed to be funny, it may become funny if the Flag PR machine decide to use for promo purposes, that's right up their alley.

Mr. Cross answers a few questions about Scientology in this interview:

http://www.brianmpalmer.com/davidcross.htm

From his drug comments, I believe he is outqualled for the S.O.

For those who are adverse to clicking on links ...

"It's really a source of amazement. It's just utter made up nonsense, gobbledygook, garbage. And you have two levels to it. You have the teachings and tenets of Scientology itself and then you have its source, which is a whole other—I mean, anybody who knows even the slightest bit of history about L. Ron Hubbard, that wasn't written by himself, would be immediately suspicious—it would also, you would think, make you look at what he's saying with a slightly more skeptical eye."

Ok, so he was doing a DM impression, right? And why was he doing all that as an intro to the band, how's the band connected? It was funny, in a deadpan, dry kind of way.

The audience did look like they wanted to almost walk out, they looked that confused, lol!

Seemed quite....out of the blue of a thing to say, to me...

Keep that guy, David Cross, away from me! - He is highly restimulative!

Sheesh! - I had to yell generalities out the window to de-stimulate!
