One thing that baffles me is how Scientologist seem to be oblivious to all the bad PR they are getting. They have had internal human rights abuses exposed in newspapers, magazines, radio and TV around the world, and repeatedly exposed. Likewise, there have been demonstrations highlighting disconnections, wrongful deaths, forced abortions, RPF and so on every month for almost 2 years now, and no response from many of them. They are just going along with all the abuses and not batting an eye. Do you have any idea why?

I have heard it is now considered out ethics to read articles or watch shows about Scn. What is the spin on this?

Is there any response inside when there is a demonstration outside? Do Scientologists talk about it? What do they say?

Some Scientologists are rejecting things LRH says if they feel it contradicts what they are doing. That is something I never ran across when I was in. Is this common? What is the think behind that. Have they bought into the idea that Miscavige is the new infallible cult leader, like is being promoted on the Scn websites?

Anything you can tell us that will shed light on the current mindset of Scinos?

How can Scios seem to be oblivious to what's going on outside?

It because they are oblivious, well at least I was. I was sharing a place with a lady on OTVII and neither of us watched the news, and we certainly didn't read the papers, as it is drummed into you that media are just "merchants of chaos" so anything they have to say must be false. I didn't know about most of this stuff till I left. I did receive an email on Rathbun/Rinder cycle, where they were appologising for their actions and they amitted they were guilty of what they were accusing DM of, which OSA quickly told us was a lie, which now that I think of it is strange since they were playing into OSA's hands, and the truth was posted on the Freedom website, and of course I believed them, especially since my OTVII friend did :duh:

Also, out of the last 2 yrs and 9 mths I was at Flag for 22 months as an OOT, and believe me you get NOOOOOO data, especially "entheta" stuff, while your in there. My mother said something to me on the phone about what a horrible man DM was, she'd seen something on Aussie TV, I had no idea what she was talking about. Most of what changed my mind about the church started at Flag, and the cycle mentioned in my original post was the last straw.

During Anonymous demonstrations at Flag the whole base usually went into "lock down," especially for the first few, no one was allowed outside the buildings unless they were getting directly into a van to take them to their destination. This was guaranteed to make us really dislike Anon as we couldn't even go to mess building for lunch, not really so bad except what we did get to eat was worse than what they normally served. Demonstations here in Aus have been fairly low key affairs and no one really took any notice, mostly we just ignored them.

On LRH, no one dare speak against LRH or DM for that matter, yes DM is seen as infallible, the lady I had been living with wouldn't allow anyone say a single word against him, he is 2nd only to LRH in her mind. Also the powers that be promote any changes as instructions left by LRH and how the tech is supposed to be, therefore DM is honouring the old man by making sure the tech is exactly as he wanted it.

I felt there was more contradiction as far as the way we were being trained, different sups had different interpretations on tech so what was a pass for one was a flunk for another, and of course the students were the only ones with mu's. Very confusing :unsure:

Anyway, now you've made me work hard and think about this stuff :) I'm gonna go. I hope it helped clarify things for you.

That's interesting... is there anything that would make us harder to ignore by the scientologists still in? We'd love to be more effective, if you can give us any hints! :yes:

Were there any Flag 'briefings' to the Public about 'who' Anon was, exactly? What exactly were you told about them and what they were doing?

Yeah there was but I couldn't tell you what was in it as I managed to get out of going to it, I think I was a completion and had to stay in the courseroom. I was told I must see it on the next showing, but being Aussie, I wasn't very good at doing what I must do. But the gist of it was about the supposed death threats and how "evil" they were, the usual merchant of kaos stuff.

some ex ots are giving them less than 2 years before it crumbles away, others say 5 years till the abomination that is scientology is gone from planet teegeeack (oops i mean earth), in its present from of course!

He looks cute. I was a cat person until I had babies - now I am not too fond of them. I love animals in general though... so I still brake for them when they cross the street! LOL
