All Ex FCDC Staff-Report for muster!

It's been awhile since this thread has seen the light of day-I call for a muster of whose around from the old days to sign in now-or whenever they friggin feel like it-

I just found this thread. There was a time there in the 70s when we really got to believe we were hot shit on a log. We were making more money than AOLA! Fugg'n Romeko and Letterese could reg anyone. Richard was on the SHSBC one time, in LA, and was ordered back to DC to "fill up the Academy". Within a couple of months he had well over a hundred student all signed up and on course--at least this is how I saw it from my auditor position.

Lesson: Do not fk with Richard, he'll own you.
 
We were confident and cocky for sure, but that's because we had Mystic leading the way. He is still the only auditor I had that ever LISTENED TO ME!

I'm here. 1978-80, variously posted as Cope Officer, Deputy Director of Personnel, Deputy Dir Comm, Ethics Officer, something in Qual, something in Div 6. I guess I got a new post each time after being blown.

Oh yeah, and once upon a time I was also the Mission Holder and E.D. of the DC Mission (formerly Mass Ave Mission), after it was decimated by the Finance Police. Judy Cranford and Abby Bregman occasionally stopped by to do call-in. Dee Dee Paige (Silverman) was our auditor along with Cheryl Lower (Hoover). Bill Reeves did some C/Sing and auditing. The declared Ty Dillard snuck in to give some tips including the "wine and cheese" model of marketing. Barbara Hodgdon provided the wicker furniture.

By the way, when is the reunion?

Ty Dillard declared? That's weird. He's a top FSM now living in Oai, California...

I'd think it's a rare 'old-timer' Scn who hasn't been 'declared' somwhere along the line. The lucky ones *stay* declared :)

Jane Layton, Flag Banking Officer (FBO) at DC Org, instigated Ty's deke based on the "Ridge on the Bridge" eval. Certain missions were accused of holding back their Clears from moving on to higher classed orgs that were supposed to service them. Missions were not to audit people after they went clear. Finance missions were sent to these missions at a fee (of course) and, in the case of DC Org, fined $20,000 for violations; either auditing clears or not sending them up the line. This bankrupted the DC Mission.

The G.O. (Jane's hubby worked for them) had their eye on Mass Ave Mission too. When I took over, it mostly had a "clinic" atmosphere with numerous well-heeled business professionals on lines. The E.D. before Ty (Mark Jones) had cobbled together a course for these professionals that was part PR series, part management course and some Data Series policy letters thrown in. Around the time Ty was deked, this course was declared off policy for using individual Data Series PLs, and denied Issue Authority by Authority and Verifications (AVC).

Ty seemed like a decent person to me, but heavily brainwashed. I once saw him totally deny the OT III story in a local TV interview and he was very convincing. As I recall, he was a Class 8/OT 7 at the time.

As a footnote -- I was recruited by a G.O. person to run the mission and he showed me a Dead Agent pack on Ty with all of his crimes described. Real nice people.

Ty is really a nice guy. But like so many of the nice guys in Scientology, they are not abnormal people in a normal situation, they are normal people in an abnormal situation.

My question to you then: "What about abnormal people in an abnormal situation?" - Is this like-aborigines in Australia?
 
Hey I've got a great story. Who here remembers when most of us (the staff) went together to go see the "The Exorcist?" back in 1973? (I think that was when it was.)

As I recall there was a standing order that staff wasn't allowed to see the movie or we would get "keyed in."

Ooooh, we were such bad little staff members.

I sort of recall going to the location where one of the scenes was filmed. That was a real overt.

When the film ALIEN played at the Uptown Theater, several staff went together to see it. More than one person became "keyed in" by the "whole track material" and had to be rushed from the theater to "originate an exam."

Thank gosh I survived what apparently was an implant scheme hatched by director Ridley Scott. Presumably he and EXORCIST director William Friedkin have been dealt with harshly by the Celebrity Center.

Nowadays we would go to Flag for the Scary Movie Rundown.

And let us not forget that Bill Franks declared "Food for Thought" out of bounds for DC Staff members, and LRH admonished Scngsts to not see 2001 A Space Odyssey.....
