Sometimes I get on chat and talk to myself. That is what I am doing here, and I am sure it will piss some peeps off. But I don't care...it is just a figment of all our imaginations, this thing called cyberspace.

My son will be home soon from Afghanistan, as I understand it they are headed for Camp Leatherneck, the last post before coming back to US soil. They have bravely done their jobs, and I do not see them as heros, rather as boys who all want to come home. They have looked out after each other for the past 7 and a half months, doing what they had to do. They have had enough sandstorms, enough LAV breakdowns, enough combat.

I've always thought you were a figment of my imagination, but one of more amusing ones, I might add.

Thanks. But you know, there is a whole list of music folks who I never got into, who never turned me on, and Beatles made the list. Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley are also on the list. They just never appealed to me at all. And the johnny-come-lately rock stars, naw.

Chuck Berry isn't on the list, or Ray Charles, or Luddie Beethoven, or Wolfie Mozart, or Sarah Brightman. Man! They're beyond lists.

Aww...Bernstein died 1990 I think. He was one of the greatest conductors ever to step on a podium. I felt like I was in the presence of genius. Never ever felt that way with any other musician.

Of interest-- the other day I ran into a preeminent Haitian "artiste" of paintings...He was in a bar in Port au Prince drinking beer with his friends-when the conversation changed and the group started to discuss "politics" he got up off his bar stool and went outside-within 13 seconds-later- the earthquake HIT and the bar collapsed - killing all his friends, He also searched for 3 weeks for his missing 15 year old son--the teenager was found alive-buried in rubble.
