Filbert and OT III

Thus spake Filbert:

"This OT 3 Incident was discovered by Hubbard in 1967, and by another individual in 1956. Neither recorded it under any copyright; both just ran it. Hubbard was informed of it in 1956, but dismissed it as "impossible", as most of the fools of planet earth do to this day. It is taking all the other determinism's out of one's space, and thus one gets a restoration of self determinism."

Anyone know who this "earlier discoverer" might be, or whether this story has any credence at all?

I knew Filbert fairly well - he was one of my first pc's when I came to America in Nov 1964.

Consequently I followed his career with some interest.

His highest post was as Chaplain in the Foundation Org at St Hill. I checked this out with others who were there at that time.

He was considered somewhat as a joke by most pro's at that time.

His so called BS that he writes about being LRHs whatever, is pure imagination.

As for the origination about OT III - this came from the Hawaiian Huna Religion - there is a good chance that this not really their religion.

The Hawaiians also had volcano gods or goddesses. The personification of volcanoes allowed for explanation of their actions. When one of the volcano gods or goddesses became angry, began to erupt, offerings were thrown into their lava streams in order to appease their anger.

During the early 1950s - many Scios studied Huna.

The original purpose for the e-meter was to be used to spot "entities" - this is covered in the 0-80 tapes.

How charming. It appears as though you're fresh out of the box with that typical scientologist mindset the world has come to adore! :) Did you ever drink beer with a practicing archaeologist without the compulsion to punch him / her in the face? :)

But to answer your question about credibility, my sources tell me it was 1962 when the Xemnu incident was first channeled into the world by two guys by the name of Richmond Wagner and Amos Moses. Apparently the incident was way to powerful for only one person to recall in the beginning, thus the collaboration.

http://www.geocities.com/marvel_monsters/xemnu/xemnu.html

Then one day sombody who liked to be called Ron, while researching the effects of ‘pinks and grays’ in his tomato juice, added a bit more to the “incident”. :)

Jokers can sometimes come up with the most amazing stuff. Filbert did what noone else managed to do, which is writing the entire bridge in one work: Excalibur Revisited. Whether he was a joke or whatever he certainly created a master piece. And I really like that he includes the heart:

Fascinating. I read a book on Huna years after I left the church. Didn't spot the relationship with OTIII. Right now I don't remember if that aspect was part of the book.

In gnosticism there is also similar stuff:

The Gnostic Theory of Alien Intrusion
http://www.metahistory.org/AlienIntrusion.php

The Divine Masculine: Part 1: The Artisan
http://www.key64.net/content/post/530-The-Divine-Masculine-Part-1-The-Artisan

quoted from the link above "The Divine Masculine: Part 1: The Artisan": said:
Hephaestus and Vulcan were both volcano gods, and Yahweh, identified with the Demiurge by some Gnostic sects, was also originally a volcano entity.

So this or similar stuff has been known a long time by people (or at least some people) on earth.

I looked at gnosticism after I left scientology and my reaction was: Wow this subject is scientology once again, well since gnosticism came first it would be more accurate to say, that scientology is gnosticism once again. It is similar to scientology, where the MEST univers is considered a trap, although gnosticism uses another terminology. But I haven't looked too much into gnosticism just a little bit. The links posted above I found right now via Google. I had missed until now that some Gnostic sects regard the Demiurge as originally a volcano entity (see above quote).

For those that don't know what the Demiurge is you can find plenty information on the net if you search via Google with the terms Gnosticism and Demiurge.

When I first read it in 1984, I was impressed.

There was nothing else like it at the time. However, it definitely was not, as claimed, Hubbard's original 1938 'Excalibur', channeled to Filbert, through the Akashic records.

It's lost some of its sparkle as years have gone by, but is still interesting, IMO, at least for historic reasons - but also is to be taken with several (large) grains of salt. It has no shortage of hot air and hype.

It's not the *complete* "Scientology Bridge," as it omits what is sometimes called the "Hidden Bridge."

The "Hidden Bridge" is the underbelly of the "Scientology Bridge," and it travels along with, and affects, anyone who also travels the more visible "Bridge."

When I first read it in 1984, I was impressed.

I left the church around 1983. A year or two later (don't remember exactly) I did OT1-3 (outside the church). Then after some other years I got Excalibur Revisited (which i had known the existence of for years at that point). That book blew a lot of charge. His philosophical articles I really liked although they could be really hard to understand. It was revealing to read about his validation of other tech than just scientology tech. I had great fun with the book. He had a refreshingly different way of communicating about the subject.

I had great fun doing the CC, which nobody told me to do I just did it anyway, well I kind of did it. It happened this way: I simply translated the CC to Danish by typing it in Danish with a typewriter because I found it amusing to translate it (I hadn't learned any type writing techniques so it took some time). And that turned out to be a way of running it, because I had a Danish valence that blew charge on that process. It was very interesting and unexpected.

It can be hard to know exactly what it was. This is what Filbert wrote himself near the end of the chapter "Potpourri, Useful Tips":

from Excalibur Revisited said:
The majority of this was not extracted from the writings of L. Ron Hubbard, although I have told you that many times for your comfort. It was extracted from the Golden Scripts, the books burned at the Council of Nicea, and from the notebooks of a magician named Merlin, and from much study in many monasteries. I can assure you that proper truth will find its proper place in the personal histories and futures of those that need it. All of this is in the Akashic Record to stay.

Excalibur Revisited did actually something regarding putting loyalty to the church out of existence I would say.

I loved this one:

from Excalibur Revisited said:
My satisfaction level is about the same whether I am working with 500 employees, 17 hours a day; or if the most exciting thing in the day is taking a shower as I spend the rest of that day just sitting, enjoying that. Either day is OK, and I do not require either. I am not an unusual person in this regard, unless you consider all creative people to be unusual. I knew a man who after 8 years of doing nothing each day but play bridge, decided -Well, I guess I go work for a couple of years. He did, as the prime mover in an American Stock Exchange Corporation, and he was happy at both pace levels.

That is so different from what you would expect in the Sea Org; I am a former SO member, but I am also a very creative person.

A lot of things has happened since those times. And personally I have been into many other areas.

Blessed be!

I have found Excalibur Revisited to be a refreshing look at the Bridge, from a different perspective, that helps align datums and viewpoints re: LRH and "the tech". It can be maddening at times, as there is no shortage of scorn for the latter-day LRH and his organizations, and it can be cryptic as to details (ie: he alludes to killing someone with thought alone).

Re: the demiurge - yes, Xenu could be allegorically the demiurge of gnostic tradition, but ultimately of what value is that as a piece of knowledge?
To me OTIII draws a line between people who can confront their own overts, and the overts of others, and as-is the charge and thus free theta vs. those who cannot confront their overts and those of others and resort to artifice and lies to divert their attention from them, and work to perpetuate not-is-ness as an acceptable form of survival.

Yeah, being close to famous people makes us all blowhards in the end. In future days, I'll be telling people about how I knew the great Alan Walters, too.

Ah! This is where firewalking came from!!

I found a more interesting topic while googling for it, though.

http://freezoneamerica.com/funch/te1/te1-6.html

Fleming Funch's description of what the next level looks like is VERY real to me. Except for one thing ... it's the next level DOWN. Having been both there and through OT III I think I can tell the difference.

Thanks for that link Haiqu - I'd not come across this guy before.

I particularly liked: "What mostly needs to be done is re-integration. Re-connecting your lower parts with your higher parts, re-uniting parts that have been split apart, re-distributing parts that ended up in the wrong place, sorting out the correct coordinates and ownership of parts. That is roughly what clearing of any kind is about."

Cheers
