I think this feature exists, but Emma probably hasn't found the time to configure it yet. She must still have a pretty long to-do-list and even more ideas for further changes, but ATM, she probably has more important stuff to do. I, for one, will wait patiently until she fixes the email notification feature which doesn't work for me. Until she gets around to that, I'll just log in more frequently. :)

EDIT:
Oh, I see Emma did already fix the "how many users" issue while I was typing this. :)

Hey Mr N, what email notification feature? Is this for PM notifications or new posts to subscribed threads?

The PM function had/has a few flaws:

1: The "Save PM to Sent Folder" didn't work properly, but seems to do so ATM. The "Save to Sent Folder" box was unchecked every time I sent a PM, and I had to check it 5 times or so on different occasions. This went for several days, but for now, my selection seems to stick.

2. The "PM Notification By Email" Feature: I always make sure this box is checked, but it was back to unchecked whenever I looked. For now it is checked, but when I logged on, I had 2 PM notifications that I hadn't been notified of per email.

Edit (correction/clarification):
Sorry, I misrepresented the issue. The problem is NOT with the PM function itself, the problem is that the options don't stick and/or are not properly processed.

Apologies for this misdirection.

EDIT2:
To help narrow it down:
The last email notification I received was from April 24, 2011 and I've had a few PMs since then, which I haven't been notified of.

Can you do me a favour?

Log out and then in again with the "remember me" box ticked. Then go through your settings one more time and make sure they are as you want them, and click on save settings.

Then just watch for a few days to see what happens.

I have been mucking around with user groups a bit and it might have stuffed things up. But I'm done with all that now so things should settle down a bit.

It doesn't work for me on this thread or a couple others of mine that I checked. It says I'm not allowed to access the names. I did log out and back in again, for what it's worth.

I've double checked the settings & it should be fine.

I don't think it's retrospective though so it might only show readers from the time I activated it. Maybe? Can you check this one again?

OK, done. Changed every option, changed it back, and saved. One (insignificant) flaw I noticed: When I call "Edit Avatar" or "Edit Profile PIC", then change nothing at all and hit "Save Option" (or whatever the save button says), I get a "PIC Upload Failure" message, which might be misleading for some users.

Anyway, I then sent a PM to myself, and received Online- and Email-notification properly. So everything seems to work fine, ATM. Yay, :thumbsup:

Once again, a huge thank-you to you, Emma, for all the great work you're doing. :bighug:

That is so very nice that the (users who viewed) function was restored. I didn't want to ask for it, figuring Ems has enough to do as it is. I figured, eh, if it's there, rad, and if it's not, well, the main thing is the discussion.

So anyway, thanks and soooo cool.
