The only reason we do it is because David Miscavige has a HUGE button on his diminutive stature. I don't think anyone here really thinks that there is anything wrong with the size of a human body whether its tall, short, or in between.

Nobody'd care about his height if he were not such a shit. Same goes with a lot of others too.

But he is a shit. A truly awful person. So people are gonna mention anything they can. And because he's such a shit, I'm ok with it. Not like we're saying all short people suck.

I agree but, outside of ESMB, most usually do it to degrade and / or upset him, thinking that OSA is reading such. His name being distorted is also a strange thing because people reading about Scientology may not have any idea that they are talking about David Miscavige.

If people want newbies to read what they have to say about Miscavige, and be taken seriously, it's more effective to mention his real name and post his crimes like you said. However, many are just having fun at 'pushing his buttons' publicly.

But I understand the frustration. I dislike all the mockery about his height as well. I think it's rather juvenile.

For what it's worth, I would usually agree with Koki on this issue. Criticizing anyone for their physical uh... er.. Shortcomings... is just juvenile. We should stick to the issues which are the crimes and abuses. Having said that I will admit I rarely read anything by Koki because the English issue is just really annoying.

On the other hand...knowing that the midget freely criticizes the physical flaws of his slaves while beating and otherwise humiliating them, makes whatever criticism he receives from us here just....karmic.

My observation is that most Internet commentary is lazy, not well-thought-out, knee-jerk and nasty. Trying to rein that in is futile. It bothers me because real deep and to-the-heart-of-the-matter discourse gets derailed because the cheap shot commentary is inflammatory and what gets the attention and flame wars going.

I am now of the opinion that Internet commentary (not specifically this board), unless specific rules of argumentation -- as in laying out one's case -- are agreed and adhered to, is not as valuable as it seems and doesn't promote critical thinking -- at all.

I do understand how it feels good to just let it loose though but I find, overall except in certain cases were it is simply the most appropriate way to respond, that the low hanging fruit commentary is counter-productive except to get some laughs and likes and that is what it is and has a place, I suppose.

Yeah, it at least makes one feel somewhat justified, like he has it coming (which he does) but it just makes me feel like I'm being like him. I don't like that except on certain occasions.
