I get stuck on these -- what do they mean?

Chanology
tl;dr
Dox Plox (I get the dox bit, what's plox?)

Silly internetz speak for "please". :)

Too long, didn't read...

Chanology is the name of an online group of anonymous people who fight to expose to the public the abuses of corporate scientology, who also began protesting in real life.

irl= in real life.

<3 is a heart which is shorthand for "love" or 'I love you guys".

dox plox = my dear sir/madam, would you kindly provide documents in evidence of this assertion, please! (the plox is the respectful "please" implied by the sentence) :biggrin:

My favourite is tl;dr ... ie stop pontificating and get your message across without walls of text, which is not really net friendly.

Thanks! I especially liked tl;dr. Thanks too for the Chanology link -- fascinating.

It can also mean, "I'm part of the MTV generation and have the attention span of a gnat, so can I get a one-sentence impossibly-condensed version of your nuanced argument?"

And do you (not you, FTS) know what often happens if you use a colon instead of a semi-colon in the middle of tl;dr? If not, try it.

Another good dictionary source is:

The UrbanTech dictionary, containing scieno-specific definitions like....

fn;di

It is a common response by an Ex-Scn to a Scientologist posting their wins on being total cause over life.
