It's been so long since anyone new has shown interest in Scientology they probably forgot what to do with newbies

Like I said, I called an Org, and you have to be an IAS member to get auditing.
Your link take you to a page put up by the c of s . It may say Dianetics at the top. But is a CofS site. When you link to find the nearest Dianetics Center "near you". All you get are listings of churches of Scien.
Not 100% sure, but I don't think there are any "Dianetics Centers"
This is EXACTLY the lie I fell for. I read the Dianetics book and went in to try it out and there was NO Dianetics center. There was just a CofS.
I'm sticking to my guns here. DMSMH. Published 1950. Church of Scien founded 1953 or 1955. I believe Scien tried to bring into the fold and control of the church the old book one auditors well up into the early 1970's. When they couldn't control it Scien disbanded it. It is part of the LORE of Scien that book one took off via mimeographed copies and people were book oneing all over the place. It is my opinion that Hubbard had a choice to make in regards to how to get control of this stroke of good luck. How to monetize it. How to punch it up.
The Church was founded.
Yes in some countries where it is impossible to establish a new religion CofS is called Dianetic centers I suppose. In Mexico they are labeled "philosophy"
But the days of the independent book one auditors are history. I imagine if anyone tried to set up a Dianetic center and offer book one they would get a swift law suit.

Rubbish. People all over the world are delivering Scn and Dianetics and lawsuits are thin on the ground. I've already posted an URL where a COS group teaches how to do book 1.
Rubbish to your rubbish. There is no way the CofS would allow an independent person to open a book one Dianetic center without slapping a law suit on them.
Enthetan, all this advice needs a sticky of its own! Thank you! Do you mind if I utilize the "blog this" feature to save?
I didn't say it would _help_ your bad back. I said that you could go there and ask for auditing because you had a bad back and they would give it to you. That kind of stuff is what Book One auditing is all about. That doesn't imply that it will actually work.
I don't get what I'm not getting then? which of these points is wrong?
Premises:
1) Book One claims to be able to help a bad back via auditing
2) The cofs delivers Book One auditing
Conclusion:
Therefore, the CofS delivers auditing that Book One claims will help a bad back
These are the only points I'm making, there is no obfuscation or misdirection here...
Sure but if I just want to go in and get some auditing for my bad back or something that doesn't require getting or maintaining any certificates.
I'm not saying that it would fix it but a bad back in certainly within the realm of the type of things LRH claims to be psychosomatic and curable with Dianetic auditing.
