Karin, I had a neighbor come by, the couple that lived at the bottom of the cul-de-sac. She clutched a flyer that said I was despicable in every way, being all sorts of inconcievable things, all at the same time, which is of course impossible. I invited them in, the couple sat on my couch, and I proceeded to explain the entire situation. About an hour and half later, the wife says "Your living room is lovely, who did the workl?" I proudly said that i did it myself. She then asked, "Would you do this to ours?" I worked for them for a year....and I needed that money at the time.Thank you "RON". Thank you OSA!

The insane tragedy of it and the way it is carried out is that the instant any decent person who believes in the doctrines of the cult introspects to doubt or question in any manner or way the real truth of their Being and actions, that is the moment of their demise.

And it is so easy for a decent person to be badgered under the duress you describe so beautifully to introspect and think: "Is there something there? Something I did, or think that's not OK?"

And the instant that occurs, the person spins in from the actual truth to the negativity that does them in! They then have unmocked their truth and entered in its place an untruth.

For you lurkers out there, if ever you are put into one of these "handlings" . . . do not "go there" into a doubt of your integrity: it will lead to your demise.

I can speak from experience on that point, having been fortunate enough to have refused to doubt my truth when subjected to these R/Ds and having seen what acquiescence did to others.

I had to just pause when I read (and remembered) that. Several other "orders to steal" immediately flooded into mind like public Scientologists being regged for outrageous sums of money to:

* Buy "collector" versions of LRH books and Battlefield Earth books (leather, limited edition, et al) and artwork (posters, Ltd edition prints, et al) when there was NEVER any "collector" value to them in the first place.
* Buy lavishly expensive LRH books and meters that soon were designated as "out tech" because newer/better books and meters were released.
* Go into bookstores (with fortunes of money donated by public) and "buy" armfuls of LRH books (e.g. Battlefield Earth) to fraudulently push the title up onto and steal a position on the "New York Times Bestseller" list.
* Buy "Clear" and "OT" Grade Chart EPs (by the hundreds of millions of dollars) that never ever existed. That is nothing less than stealing trusting parishioners' money.​

There are countless other examples of church "scripture" that gave its blessing and made it unethical to NOT STEAL!

STEALING in fact was/is the cult's primary "Successful Action" and (per the Affluence Formula) all manner of plans, projects, programs and orders were issued to "strengthen" or do more of that--STEALING.

Scientology: It deals in "eternity". The stealing and lies never, ever stop.
