I admit I got rather over-excited with the "do a door" fundraising tek. Slid off the sofa laughing uncontrollably! Picked myself up only to slide back onto floor with the truly inspirational donate for a door knob tek.

Brian Culkin Part One 1/4
Brian Culkin story is Beyond Belief. From the moment he arrives at Tampa Airport pretty women descend on him like vultures to donate. In one incident he gives $35,000 as a "donation" before he arrives at the "Church" in Clearwater.
He described his 7 months at Flag "TORTURE" and the months spent there trying to undo the torture created. "An incessant and non-stop demand for money". The Chief registrar Dave Foster calls him a "Fucking Asshole" for not handing over money. Dave Foster is part of their so called "Clergy". How very *Ecclesiastical"...

The "Church" of Scientology extorts money from its rank and file over and beyond anything that is normal. It is done gang bang style. Usually 4 or 5 Church staff against one person. This affords them the luxury of hiring expensive lawyers to firewall them from their criminal acts. Filing endless motions to stop the progress of any law suit rather than fight on merit is par for the course on this *pretense* of a religion which has morphed into a runaway money extortion machine. In this video I tell about the the pressure on their staff that was so great (included sleep deprivation ) to sell these re-packaged books "The Basics". Church staff stole unused payments and billed clients accounts for Basics at $3000 or $5000 a set (unauthorized) on credit cards on file and unused advance payments. Vast amounts of these huge packages were refused and " Returned to Sender."
This is only one type of fraud and scam. I discussed this with 2 OSA INT execs in 2007 and 2008 and OSA staff were well aware of it, while they continue to ask me for money for more BASICS.​

Another great video, Karen! To address one part of the scams you mentioned - NO ACCOUNTABILITY OF CASH TRANSFERS - a friend of mine (ex-staff) got a phone call a couple of years ago when the Basics (revised) was being pushed so intensely.

The caller said that they still had money in their account, so naturally my friend said to send a check. No, no ... they couldn't do that. But they suggested they make a donation to bring their account up to $5,000 or whatever they were asking for. Now, my friend had left decades before this. They said they were not interested in the Basics, so the caller suggested that since they can't refund their money (or the 20-30 years interest) that the money could go to buying books for the Academy. Poof, money gone and no trail of where it went. Gone. No paperwork or receipt, no telling what was sent or where, it just vanishes.

Thank you so much Karen and Jonathan and Angry Gay Pope for these very informative videos. Myself, having been in the Cult for 35 years was already familiar with not all, but much of what is contained in them, but much of the non-scientology world and a good chunk of the scio members also do not know at least some of it, so what you do is very valuable and enables many to Peek inside the methods and activities of various aspects of the Scn organizations.

I know I made an earlier request, but I will make another suggestion.

In the 'Scientology Inc's Office of Special Affairs' youtube version at approx 3:01 to 3:06 you talked about OSA being a lying machine to spout out good news. I know part of what they or Pubs does is apply the goals of Acceptances of LRH and I am sure that this is also done regarding Scn front groups and thus Scn. I imagine a skit wherein an OSA Pr arranges a meeting with a mayor or and other Opinion Leader and Bamboozles them with a PR pack. If I remember correctly, the issues related to this, there is of course a Profile established regarding the target, then as needed a Black PR handling, and ONLY then an "enlightenment".
Perhaps you or someone you know, has worn such a "hat" and can thus make a video "true to form'. I for one would be more than happy to present such a video to my local City council to make them very aware of how the cult may well be working on manipulating them.

Veda of ESMB and numerous others has posted many of the related Exact issues used to write the 'hats' and programs thereof.

I haven't read the books Inside scientology, nor Going clear: the prison of belief but perhaps some of what I am talking about is detailed in those references.

Tossing that ring would have been a cathartic gesture and release. For someone in so long, a gesture of courage and determination.

The Lori Hodgeton's compelling interview should be played on every major network over and over.

The best part (and worst) is that it's true and typical. Anyone who has been in Scientology for any length of time can't deny that this is the way things are done over and over.

I was coached on how to handle my parent's legitimate concerns and the technique was similar:

"You want me to be happy don't you? This is what I really want to do."

OMG. Now that they are using leverage from the disconnection policy, the technique has gotten perfected.

SO recruitment of 15 year olds against the wishes of their parents is testimony to a vicious, take-no-prisoners, last ditch effort of a failing, flailing, desparate organization. It's just nuts. Plain and simple.

Can you imagine if the Catholic church tried this? or if the US military tried drafting 15 year olds? If either of those organizations tried those techniques, the media would be non-stop 24/7 interviews, filled op-ed pages, 60 Minutes, 20/20, nightly news.

You can't make this stuff up.

Karen, you do a great service by conducting the interview and making the film. Bravo!
