Chris was in the SO in Washington state. He appeared in a 2009 anon protest video (starting at 0:34)..

"The Sea Org member at the beginning is Chris Shelton. He used to be A/Tech Aide WUS but last I heard he was RPFed, I guess he finished. He's the sort of fanatical flunky that won't blink an eye at doing sordid stuff to "save the planet", in my experience."

http://www.forum.exscn.net/archive/index.php/t-9503.html

Also, believed to be in the video is (Rev) Glen Barton who was very active in PAC OSA in the 80s & 90s. He was also a LAPD Chaplain who was fired after he beat up critic Keith Henson.

"It arose from Moxon’s "investigator" Edwin Richardson, and then LAPD Scientology "chaplain" Barton, who had physically jumped and battered Scientology critic Keith Henson and falsely arrested him."

I guess Chris is a polar bear.. he can't wait to get back to Minnesota where is -8 degrees during the day. :)

Ginger tells a poignant story ~~ first in this video series.
****NEW VIDEO****
Her mother who worked for 30 years in the Church is now old and like all staff who leave after a lifetime of service are tossed out with no pension, retirement, 401K ~~ nothing.
This from an entity hoarding a billion dollars here and there for its expensive lawyers...

Thanks very much for sharing this Karen.

Although the information contained in the video isn't particularly surprising, the content and testimony serves the function of blowing apart yet another block in the shaky foundation of Scientology.

For me, the "Way to Happiness" booklet evokes a lot of memories and images. I think of the cringeworthy moments of handing the pamphlets out to my family (cringe) and friends (double cringe) and getting the FPRD and wondering why Scientologists aren't taking care of their teeth. The logo on the front of the pamphet is so pretty and ... happy.

But does handing out the book achieve ANYTHING worthwhile? The hubris of LRH in thinking that he is some sort of Moses coming down from the Mount Sinai and replacing the Ten Commandments is perhaps the most cringeworthy thought of all.

The LAST thing victims of an earthquake or tidal wave or war need is a religious tract. The COS caters to wealthy people, period. The leaders (leader?) of the COS are insulated and frankly, ignorant of the suffering of those in 3rd world countries. How else could distributing pamphlets make sense?

The scam behind "The Way to Happiness" champaign is proof positive that the critics are 100% correct. The Church of Scientology's main thrust is to make money, helping others is way, way down the list.

Inside the culture of Scientology Inc there is a habit which is to get a majority against a single person to overwhelm. It is used in the length and breath of the Church in all arenas and I give some examples of "Gang Bang" in this video...

Janet Mclaughlin
The gang bang against Janet Light (Mclaughlin) corralled her to ITt base where she was imprisoned and held against will for some years in Suppressive Person hole. Her husband, Colm was ganged banged and shipped to Freewinds and locked in a cabin against his will for a year or more. Held hostage against his will.

Hi Karen,

Apologies if I've missed it, but have you done a video of a locked-doors regging? Perhaps they open the doors and there are several people blocking the exit corridor, trying to get members to donate.

I think it would be a great and illustrative example to shoot it point-of-view from the perspective of the public member's eyes. Steve Mango could voice the character based on his own experiences, and you and your band of rebels play the regges, getting in his face all the way down a corridor, wanting money for this and that.

I'd think it would be quite powerful.

Once again, sorry if similar already done and I've missed it.

Breaking down what happens to every $100 the Church extorts.
See where the money goes.
Acquisition of Real Estate is more important than cleaning up their ABUSE within.
These new Real estate buildings are mostly empty and provided David Miscavige with a photo op for ribbon cutting. Money was extorted from locals OR one big whale actually cut a check for the building while the LIES that pour out from the "Church" try to explain it as "EXPANSION" and "Scientology popularity." LIES and more LIES.

A very nice, very pertinent exposé, Karen.

Folks who've never been on staff aren't privy to the way the money is ripped out of the system up to serve the nefarious agenda at the top.

This video spells out the deceit and rapaciousness of the structure and practices of the cult.

The actuality is that, while the org premises can "look good," the actual activities of the orgs are dwindling and the enterprise is failing as they are serving less and less people and producing less and less of what they purport to deliver as results on their "public."

RogerB

Oh Karen - how could you imply that the Dear, Fearless Leader had Ron's books [STRIKE]edited[/STRIKE] corrected so that he could be the de facto author and receive the 10 % author's royalties? Captain COB is selflessly spending each day, single handedly, putting out fires that dastardly, depraved, defrocked ex parishioners create. If he has to burn the midnight oil to fix the errors of the past editors and typists after doing his day job, in my mind he is entitled to the measly 10%.

I think that, further, your pointing out the fact that all of the pulp from shredding of books, HCOBs, legal documents, etc. etc., has not been converted into Standard Toilet Paper fast enough to meet the demands of straight up and vertical expansion is nothing short of treasonous.

If it wasn't for the global shortage of Goldenrod paper, your declare would be in this afternoon's mail.

I can just imagine the stories available regarding those orgs and the various crisis meetings held at 11 at night to keep the orgs open, let alone operating.

Speaking of utilities. Don't worry if the org phone bill or lease is not paid, just move the staff to my house to operate from for a few days and run up a multiple $100 phone bill calling all over the country to get money to pacify the landlord to reopen the org doors. The CSW for that phone bill was never paid! The landlord started on course,,,,WTF ? was that service in exchange for rent/lease? $400 given by myself to meet materials (promised to be paid back from next FP )for a required renovation management program 'target'. 25 years later I am still waiting for that repayment...lol.

Oh and don't worry, the doors got opened, and I donated > $12,000 for services after getting guaranteed promises that the org had figured out who qualified to provide that service. LOL! NO.! It was a lie! I had to travel to a different org 10 hours away to receive the service while taking two weeks off from work without pay. But that was brought to a screeching hault mid action because the 2nd org was absolutely furious that the first org kept all the money for the services. I was hung to dry, after all my financial resources had been tapped out.

So you see Karen, your video needs amending. It should ask the question, where does the $120 of your $100 donation go?

Yep, those orgs were shown in the video. Such fond memories.. :dieslaughing::dieslaughing::dieslaughing: of scientology "management :dieslaughing::dieslaughing: "

Oh I almost forgot, the Sea Org mission 'team' that ran up my phone bill didn't pay their accommodations agreed upon either.

"TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF"

T--snipped for brevity--

The LAST thing victims of an earthquake or tidal wave or war need is a religious tract.

LOL, exactly!

They aren't just using the Way To Happiness pamphlet. Now when people of impoverished and famine level nations are hit by a natural disasters, Volunteer Ministers go out into the remote towns and villages to find starving people trapped under fallen buildings who still can produce breath fog on a mirror.

Then they reach into the wreckage with their iPads and show the immobilized victim a one-minute video with the tech on how to "Take Care of Themselves".

Chris Shelton served on staff from the age of 17 to 43 years old. He departed 1 year ago.
This video is the first in an on going series.
Chris Shelton worked on and directly with the Ideal Org strategy so he knows whereof he speaks.
On the vasts sums of money extorted from one and all, there is no accountability, no transparency and Scientology Inc never reveals how much it has taken in and what it does with it. It answers to no one and believes it is above the law !

What a mindless blunder the whole enterprise has become . . . .

I sat here hearing the "strategy" for booming the "operation" and almost choked on my coffee as it was presented that "let's spend big $$$'s on fancy buildings, and they will come . . . "

Umm, missing from the idiot think was any idea of actually producing something, or of getting, producing or exchanging or delivering the promised product!

Nope . . . such idiot think as: let's built a big empty box and it will magically fill itself . . . this is presented as a 'strategy"???

Quite astounding to hear.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO!

Karen, this is just terrific. You've presented another hard-hitting video exposing another bit of the idiocy. Oy. Cringeworthy! I like the very last part where Chris points out how any charitable organization in the world will tell you where the money goes, but not in Scientology.

It's interesting that upgrading the orgs was considered the big, fix-all idea. Proof positive that if you don't know what to do, you'll do some pretty stupid things. The truth is that the COS and David Miscavage have no idea how to expand their orgs.

Thanks for your team's videos Karen.

They help focus on some of the aspects in what I consider as a current glance in the rear view mirror of scientology.

The thing is; Hubbard latched onto a 'vision' or 'dream' or pursuit of man. He, for whatever reason, I believe it was a megalomaniacal urge, and with his mania
grabbed whatever had any plausibility of truth or utility, and through, emotion and self posited 'authority', traits of a stage magician, (as Galactic Patrol so perceptively stated in an earlier post) usurped a lot of energy from those hubbard attracted.

It as though hubbard and those he duped built a few shimmering pillars onto which he tried to construct a real bridge. He fought with his wild animalistic character any exposure of the frailties and flaws and attacked any and all who dared to 'infringe' upon what he believed was becoming his authoritative sole 'source' bridge. It had to be his creation.

But what could one expect from a megalomania and conning composite? The trusting and good willed herded followers in many cases became naive accomplices forwarding the momentum of the first couple of decades.

The mania ridden host waned, occasionally flailing, but in the end led to self destruction.

With Hubbard gone from continually creating the con, Miscavige took the reigns (power is assumed I believe is the quote). Unable (for various reasons) to inject new 'philosophy' into the machine he relied, in his parallel mania, on a more physical aspect. Thus glossy repackaging of printed and electronic materials were used to abscond fuel for the forwarding of the con and yet again self inurement.

With the shimmer and the gloss ever worn thin and more exposed, Miscavige's method became injecting authoritative idols known as Idle Morgues, to which the con rapidly descends to its death.

I see nothing wrong with mankinds striving for betterment, but conning and megalomania in the mix lead to fail.

Scientology Inc has been reduced to a money extortion racket which it is permitted to do with IRS 501C 3 Tax exemption. Chris Shelton continues to share his journey of the Truman Show.

Here are some photos I took at the Minnesota Ideal Org. This was a while ago so is probably worse now. How can the staff be burdened with the maintenance of a building like this when they can't even buy basic supplies?

Here it is, bright and shiny on opening day

I don't remember where I got the photo on the left (which is clearly more real). The one on the right is from the cult's website. Photoshop much?
They love those saturated colors -- on their book jackets, posters, fliers, websites....maybe they have eye troubles.

Hmmmm....

Ruh roh, all except one of the banners just flew away. Send the PES outside with a ladder immediately!

Waddup "Idealness"?

Unless COB is right outside making an appearance, who cares about the lights...we need toilet paper!

Never fear Minnesota residents...

We have a nice theta message for you so you can feel all warm and fuzzy and welcome inside our humble home. Please, do come in, that is
unless we don't want you here and in that case, get the hell out NOW!

Great video. Thanks Karen, Chris and AGP for doing this. :hifive:

We should play trivia here. :happydance:

What is the ratio of public to 90,000 sq footage of the Minn Org? :hmm:

200? Nope!

100? Not even close.

Okay there is 50. You still aren't warm. :eyeroll:

Damn! It such a big building. My answer is 25. Dude, that doesn't even cover the staff members. :hysterical:

This is more difficult than my final exams. One more guess or do you

My final answer is 10. 1 public for every 9,000 sq foot. We have a winner! :dance3::party:

Sad but true, Rog. They really do believe the mysticism from Field of Dreams. But if you think about it, that's one of the most innocuous things Scientologists believe in. They have to. Otherwise they have to go have a strong whiskey and cry in abject failure.
