Key to Life 6C

I am looking for a KTL 6C book. A while back I had one, but I was going to move across country, permanently, and where I was going there was already a 6C book there, so I didn't think I would need mine and I was trying to get rid of unneccessary things to move, so I got rid of my book. The move got cancelled. Now I don't have a 6C book and I need one.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

I have some old archived stuff. Do not recall the 6C designation cause I did not do the course. Isn't it clay demos mostly? Tell me what I am looking for exactly.

I did the course and don't remember WTF 6C is frum nuthin!

But I'll say this, because I did it with a kid who spoke native Spanish and a smattering of English - and when I got through with him, he could "get" humor in English and spoke it very , very well.

And that's the dinkum oil. :wink2:

Clay demos come before 6C. 6C is the big book of small words like, it, an, the, if, etc.

I found oodles of Disney-esque pics which are really cute. They come in little booklets. Very well drawn. Still searchin....

Nope don't have one with those words. Only different words like bucket, flower etc, I don't know how to share my pdf files.

Book #6 is missing

6C is actually Book 6A-E (?) as it comprises all of that section of KTL

It's a big hardcover book that is mostly the Small Common Words Defined (Section 6C) but has a brief "history" of language at the beginning and some drills and stuff after the 6C section.

It's one of the two large hardcover books in KTL - the other one is Section 9 which is the "New Grammar"

It will almost break your wrist to pick it up. It's hard to mistake. :)

It's got "Small Common Words Defined" in big letters on the cover. You can even buy it from Amazon.com.

Whatcha gonna do wid it FoTi?

I don't know how much it cost to produce those KTL books, but it wouldn't surprise me if that one cost more than $110 a copy to manufacture. The pages are *very* thick and glossy and the binding is heavy enough to keep it all together if you drop it on the floor. One could maybe get an idea from the original price when the KTL course first came out, as per policy new books are priced at 5x manufacturing cost + 2x postage, I think.

When I routed out of the Sea Org in 1996 I was offered (and accepted) a used set of the KTL books in lieu of $500 cash. I accepted as I didn't need the cash and would have accepted anything they offered, but the point is the $500 is a legal thing — a material consideration in exchange for signing the waivers (at the time it was not a gesture of goodwill!) — so OSA Legal thought the books were worth $500 used.

I only got part way through that book on the KTL Course when I was pulled off of it and they refused to let me continue. That's when they suddenly told me I was an illegal PC after being in Scientology for over 20 years. Then when I went to Flag to try to straighten that mess out, they wanted thousands of dollars more to sec check me and I already had 24 hrs paid for in my acct at Flag. I wouldn't give them any more money and eventually they declared me, redid my accounts, charging me full price for the services I had already done and gave me back the difference. But they didn't give me back the money for KTL, which they wouldn't let me finish. They told me I could then go to Tampa Org if I wanted to continue with any services. I didn't want to have any more to do with Scientology by then. But, I would like to finish going through the book and at least complete that part on my own. I found the part that I did do, in that book, was very helpful. I'd just like to finish it up.

When I took a box of my books to the used book store here, a while back, to get rid of them so I wouldn't have to carry them or ship them across country, I think I was paid about $17 for a whole box of books. Besides the 6C book, I also gave up some of my good dictionaries, again thinking that I wouldn't need them where I was going. Big mistake. I had no idea that the 6C book was worth so much money used. I can't really afford that....guess I'll have to do without it for right now.

Thanks for the link, Paul. I had searched on the net for it and couldn't find it. At least I know where to find it now, even though I can't afford to buy it. I had no idea it would cost that much. Oh, well. Maybe some other day.

Scooter, was the "New Grammar" any good? I never went through that book. We weren't supposed to read ahead.
