To quote myself (explains much, I think)
This bit of lecture always fascinated me:
From lecture "Introduction: The Q List and Beginning of Logics", 10 Nov 1952,
The Perception of Truth transscript page 9
"My own philosophy, my own method of existing is far, far different, perhaps in many cases that the data itself, because I've selected out, after all, certain randomities.
"There are certain things which I have decided to be mad at in this universe.
I've decided to be mad at psychiatrists. There is no reason why I should be mad at psychiatrists. Really, the sensible thing for me to do about psychiatrists is simply to go over and talk to them, make a couple of patients
well, show them how they can make bigger fees, pat them on the head, and you've got Dianetics and psychiatry. But there's no randomity there. No randomity at all.
"There never going to hurt a preclear, really. I can rave and rant about electric shock and prefrontal lobotomy-you can pick them up in the next
life and they'll be as good as new."
So, all this anti-psych stuff, all the world's (universe's) problems were caused by psychs etc. is all becaus Ron wanted a little randomity in his life.
Thanks, Greatest Friend of Mankind!

Hubbard's disdain for 'psychs' seems quite easy to explain; after his early attempts to ingratiate himself with 'established' psychoanalytical schools met with resounding failure he became well-aware that conventional psychological practice would assess him (in a matter of minutes probably) as an obvious text-book 'paranoid schizophrenic'...delusions of grandeur, persecution mania and all.
These were the people that could unravel his plans, therefore they had to be cast as the 'hated enemy', and all the nonsense that followed to support that view.
Simples, no?

Electroshock is brain damage, among other things. In the next life, they have a different body, and so any damage is gone -- like a rusty car traded in for a new one.And in their "next life" they'll be "as good as new"?
So what about all that past life auditing, whole track, key-in, etc? More con-tra dick shon from ron.
I think it would be fairly safe to say...
THE PSYCH'S could have cared less about LRH or his evil cult...and still don't
I have asked a few PSYCH's about the con man...and they have NEVER HEARD OF HIM....![]()

The emotional damage, however, remains. But it's a lot easier to address this if you don't also have physical disabilities to deal with at the same time.
And while "starting over" can mean a new accumulation of charge, much of whatever was removed before stays removed. I myself expect to start the next lifetime in MUCH better shape than I started this one.
In spite of all the bad things said about ECT, "they" say it "works". Why? Because it chases away BT's. I'd rather do solo auditing.
