I guess we'll find out about his financing unofficially when some OSA-based website details it, accurately or not; and we'll find out about if officially when he gets into some lawsuit with the cult down the track and it's part of discovery and he details it in some deposition he makes that becomes part of the official record.

'Private' only impinges on yourself (or, a very small 'private' circle.) Just because 'Public' activity qualifies as *Sneaky* doesn't make it 'Private'.

It very well may be. That Independents club is at it's core still small
However, Marty/Mike's activity is intended to affect *public* issues. That includes organizing his 'Independents' in order to lend himself an odor of 'authority' and 'credibility'.
