OK, for one of the 'homages', I'd like to see a rousing rendition of "The Worried Being"

For those of you who never had the pleasure of listening to the original . . . it's from "The Road to Freedom" album. . . by one of the truly great composers and lyricists of our time. :puke:

:whistling: TL

:blah: Good enough to make one jump off ..."The Bridge!":D

OK . . . I just heard "United Breaks Guitars" (Link at bottom. For those of you who haven't seen this, it's very worth watching. It got all kind of attention; millions of hits and interviews on news shows -- just because the guy was mad and wrote a song.)

A little story- song might be a very catchy thing; done with humor of course (nothing too serious like abortions; people wouldn't think that was funny). Or any of the titles suggested on this thread  . . . we've got songwriters and musicians on this site.

I really think there could be a place for the Squirelles on Youtube! :sing::sing::sing:

I think this is the proper influence for "The Squirelles"

If embedding is disabled for you, then click on the title link in the upper blue band of the video above.

Here are the lyrics:

I hurt myself today
to see if I still feel
I focus on the pain
the only thing that's real
the needle tears a hole
the old familiar sting
try to kill it all away
but I remember everything
what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

I wear this crown of thorns
upon my liar's chair
full of broken thoughts
I cannot repair
beneath the stains of time
the feelings disappear
you are someone else
I am still right here

what have I become?
my sweetest friend
everyone I know
goes away in the end
and you could have it all
my empire of dirt

I will let you down
I will make you hurt

if I could start again
a million miles away
I would keep myself
I would find a way

Maybe we could work in a little tribute to Anonymous -- The Who's "Who Are You" ? The singers could dress up like OSA-bots?

The Squirrelles Rule!

You guys crack me up!
OMG, I could so be a Squirelle! :prettyplease:
Think of the roadies (all OT)! We could tour with the Free Jive Aces, or the SP Jive Aces, whatever their new name would be.

Those sweet geezers in the "my generation" vid really rock. :bravo:

Zinji- the name alone is brilliant- and the idea is priceless, we could have so much fun with this! :squirrel:

I'm strangely attracted to the first cut on the album! :D
