Noname -- Love the videos! You guys have really given me some great ideas for ways to handle the phone calls. I need to start having fun with them, might as well make a game out of it.

Boojuum -- I don't know if people at the raquetball club were talking about us (although they probably were), but the staff there seemed confused that the sauna was all we ever took advantage of. I don't think we ever told them we were Scientologists, but they definitely wondered about us.

Anonycat -- So far I don't think I've gotten any of their junk mail. I think they may be a couple of addresses behind me, either that or I've gotten it and thrown it away without even noticing it. I get so much other junk mail that it's entirely possible.

Smartone -- Yeah, I was definitely a little too naive about Facebook when I first started using it. Now I've gone to the other extreme, most of my photos are of my cat, and I don't talk to anyone I don't already know. I should probably just get off of there completely, but I seem to be addicted to it.

Welcome JJ. Glad to hear from another Bostonian. Though I went into the mission once for a tour -- I was only public at the Boston org -- I lived right down the street from it and saw the day that building was razed. (Photos posted somewhere in the Boston thread.)

This might be a long shot but, when you were at the mission, did you and your ex live a few blocks away with a violin player, Judy Cohen (non-scio)? I played some music with her back then.

BTW, I hadn't realized Tom Ford was in The Hole. He was a brutal reg. However, Sue Ford was such a sweetie.

Myrklix - We did live very close to the mission, on Norfolk for the first several months, then we moved to Mass Ave about halfway between central and harvard squares. I don't remember a violin player, but there were other scio's in the Norfolk building. I remember a couple who'd just had a baby, but I can't remember their names.

This is the article that lists people in the hole:

Type4 - You look familiar to me, I seem to remember you being the person at the reception desk in the lobby, right?

Yes, that would be correct. I got busted from the TTC and assigned to reception for what seemed multiple lifetimes.

Random info on Boston people as of two years ago:

Tim Ford (Tom's twin?) married Cindy Dragoneti. They were in DC for a long time but ended up in Clearwater. They had a son, Justin, who was in RTC in Clearwater.

Joan & Ritchie Gambino also were in DC. Joan was the FR FCDC. They had a son who ended up in CMO. They also had a daughter. I think she left Scientology a long time ago.

David & Phyllis Aden are also in DC. Phyllis is the FBO. They had a son. I believe is in the SO in LA.

Maggie Magerowski divorced John many years ago. They had a daughter who was CMO on the Freewinds. Maggie was on staff at LA Day for awhile and the ended up in KC as ED and has been there for many years and remarried. John married Jan Borowski who I believe passed away a year or two ago.

Gerard and Karen Renna divorced. Gerard was DSA at Boston but I think he routed out to pay debts. He is an OT VIII. I think Karen is a movie agent in LA and also likely OT VIII.

Jean & Paul Discher had a kid. He's likely in the SO. They divorced a long time ago. Jean was CO SMI for some time but fell into disfavor some time ago. Paul was CO WISE Int for awhile but also fell into disfavor. Paul married Ruth Silverman at ASHO. She passed away a few years back.

Nan & Steve Goodwin ended up running Orlando Org. I think Nan had an affair and I believe their marriage ended.

Bobby Johnson got on to OT VII a few years back. He had ended up at Real World in New Hampshire so is likely still up that way.

Mike Alla ended up CO CLO EUS but I believe blew many years ago.

Betty Furbish ended up in DC and I believe is now in SO at Flag as an auditor.

Ron Savello ended up Clearwater, ran a restaurant and later got into doing some kind Dianetic infomercials.

At one time or another Joe Urich lived in Clearwater.

Angus McDuffie ended up out in Portland, OR with his wife, Patty. That what some time ago.

Warren Friske and his wife disaffected some 20+ years ago. Ditto for the Garritano brothers.

Paul LeDeux and Kelly LeDeux divorced a few years back. Kelly was on Org staff.

Elaine Seigel ended up in SO in OSA. Her photo pops up now and again on the internet. As far as I know she is still with Rick.

Cary Goldstein is in Clearwater. He was in Louisiana before that.

Carter Manniere has been in CW for years running the CW Mission with his wife, Anne.

That's some names off the top of my head.

I told the Scientology caller once that I have switched the sides and work for Xenu now. I wanted the conversation to go on so I could convince her that she should also choose Xenu as her master. But she hang up. I think she was not an OT.

Type4 -- That explains a lot; I always thought you looked pretty unhappy there. Or maybe I was just projecting how I'd feel having to do that job.

Freshmusician -- Now you've got me curious. Were you at Cambridge or Boston during your time there? My husband's first name was Fred, he was the body router for Cambridge Mission, does that ring any bells? Sorry to be so cryptic, I'm just a little hesitant to put it all out there yet.

Cherished & Demented -- So far no more phone calls the last few days, but you can be sure I'll be having fun with the next one I get!

Expelled -- Wow, lots of info, lots of divorces. Some of those names aren't familiar to me (because I was only at Boston Org briefly), but then I do remember some of them. Especially Carey Goldstein; I think he was the one who was trying to get me to sign up for a trip to NYC to protest something. I kept telling him I had to work (I wasn't on staff then, I had a regular job), and he wasn't hearing me. He just kept repeating the same thing over and over and over: "So how can we get you on that bus?" So frustrating, like talking to a robot! I don't remember how I finally got away from him, I might have just walked away. I remember being pretty pissed off by then. I'm pretty sure that was him, but I could have him confused with someone else.

Yes!! That was Cary. We devoted an entire thread to him a while back. Try out the "Search" feature and see for yourself.

I got in around '84, Boston org. The main people I remember from Cambridge were Pete Cieslinski and Matt McNamara. Both nice guys. I think the mission was past its heyday by then. Don't remember a Fred. But there was another guy who was off and on lines, a kind of geeky guy, balding but longish hair, thick glasses, maybe Richard something?
