A monthslong investigation into multiple allegations of rape against actor Danny Masterson has inexplicably stalled, despite the Los Angeles County district attorney having compelling evidence in the case, multiple sources told HuffPost. Four women have accused Masterson of raping them in the early 2000s.
Masterson is a longtime member of the Church of Scientology, an organization that has a history of covering up allegations of misconduct leveled against the organization and its members. At least three of the women who have accused him of rape were also Scientologists and reported the incidents to the Church of Scientology at the time.

The cult gambled it all on CELEBS and RELIGIOUS PROTECTIONS.

The cult took out an insurance policy on their CELEBS by sec checking them to death to gather vast archived dossiers that could be used for blackmailing them. Exactly as Hubbard explicitly stated in his infamous "THE RESPONSIBILITY OF LEADERS" essay and policies.

Now all those cheating advantages (the cult stole) come back to haunt the cult.

And who says the "religion angle" is not going to collapse too. By all rights and legal precedent it should--and probably will.

ps - afterthought: The RELIGION angle and the BLACKMAIL angle might actually both collapse together, and by reason of the other's existence. If the "church" violates the priest/penitent confidentiality covenant with the wrong person, that may trigger a hard look by regulatory agencies to examine:

--the donation scam (which is actually a price-list for goods/services being bought/sold).​

-- the use of 501c3 funds for black ops, fair game, PIs running dirty tricks, et al​

-- the use of tax free funds for inurement to church leader COB​

-- tax evasion & money laundering schemes​

-- the corporate fiction that pretends countless corporate entities, "cut-outs", "buffers" and layers of "plausible deniability" that are all, in fact, alter-egos of COB, who runs every single major and minor detail of the COS (Crimewave of Scientology).​

I think there may well be a "tipping point" where the momentum swings back and a critical mass meltdown of all the cult lies comes crashing in on itself.
