You are entitled to your money, with or without a form. If they won't give it to you, get in contact with a lawyer. Don't sign their forms.

I will try to think of a form to say that I am only accepting the refund and nothing further as you suggested.

I just don't know the proper wording yet but I will think on it.

I am not signing my rights away and why I hesitated for years to do this but now I am pushing it as I am not supporting them by doing so.

When I am not tired I will look to figure out what to write up.

Suggestions are helpful. I can say I am not going back so therefore I want a repayment.

Do NOT sign any form that tries to limit your rights, especially your freedom of speech. Basically they are trying to pull a fast one and stop you from talking about it or even to criticise them in the future.

When I got my refund, they tried to make me sign a document that prevented my from talking about the repayment, publicly criticising or even talking about Scientology, assisting anyone who wanted to take any sort of action against the CoS and even doing anything that might be detrimental to the interests of the CoS!

Now, the fact that an organisation that purports to uphold human rights and claims to support freedom of speech should try to make someone agree to all this should tell anyone who is undecided about what kind of organisation the CoS is, exactly what sort of people run the CoS.

I refused to sign any such document and instead made up my own document which essentially was a receipt for the return of monies paid for services and still on account. They accepted this, as they knew that they had to.

If you are in any doubt, get some legal advice or go to any consumer groups in your area.

However, having said all that, it would be interesting to see what happens if someone signs such a document and then promptly speaks to the local media, posts on the internet under their real name and even pickets the org. I can’t believe that even they would be stupid enough to try and sue. Imagine the headlines - “Evil cult tries to suppress freedom of speech!”.

I have told my story here. After I signed the release forms. And all my names I ever had while in the CofS are listed on my declare which I posted on my story thread. No one has contacted me to sue me.

Unless, that is why I've been being called lately. No, just kidding. I don't know what they are calling about now. I have this great service on my phone - Privacy Manager - if the caller does NOT provide their phone ID then the call goes thru the Privacy Manager. I'm then contacted by the Privacy Manager and given the name of the caller. Tonight I listened to all options - press 4 to inform this person not to call again. Hubby and I are hoping that the Privacy Manager then records the number and blocks all future calls from the number. I have never used option 4.

Normally, after I hear who the caller is, I accept the call. This is the third call I've gotten in probably 1 - 2 weeks. The first call I completely ignored since I was on the phone with GT. The 2nd call I refused. Tonight I used option 4.

We'll see what happens.

Ok I expect they will not stop contacting me for any reason. I get spammed in emails. I started when I asked for my refund and or made a IFA youtube channel.

I was given in PM a great form that I will use. I will print it out and send it in.


I don't get called so that is not a problem. I do once in a while but it is not a bother as it is so rare.


I think I have my solution and I am going to try it.

Thanks to the person who sent me the info.

I had advice from a person who knows legal stuff and it made me think twice about singing. He owns a business and I consider him a legal advisory to me.

I will email them and tell them I am sending a form that is acceptable to me.
