You'd think someone would know how to spell their own father's name, wouldn't you?

Where have all the good trolls gone? Blown maybe?

It *was* clear, but I've just had a fuckin' nuff of the bloody trolls of late, and enough of mates around here not recognising the bastards, so I thought it might be a good idea to call a spade a spade.

I can do "subtlety", it has value, but there are times when something else is in order.

I've spotted a few lately, who obviously work in concert, usually creating junk and irrelevant threads to divert people from discussion of real issues. I just ignore them, but it can be surprising to see intelligent people fall for it.

Didn't we used to have a troll subforum? Or did I just dream about it? It would make things so much simpler though if we just had a dedicated subforum called "trolls post here".

Ranting and raving has a place in my heart but it is not always the most effective way to communicate.

Been there done that but I might mention that many newly outs don't listen to us exes who have already fought that fight. We are still standing but you know many exes are not. For every one of us that is speaking out there are probably hundreds if not thousands who are too afraid to even look at the Internet let alone join and post on a critical board.

Kutta, the reason it was so obvious to us is because we knew what was going on in the CofS. but if you want some more clues just open the account of Ruby and look at the posts.

One of the best ways to spot a certain type of troll is they post on the board about wanting to find out about going clear and OT, and whether or not we recommend it.

Seriously WTF? Obviously right now that's a troll, there is no one who would

A. Ask a bunch of critics and exes those questions and

B. Be considering actually going to a CofS for auditing at this time with all the data about the abuses available.

That is by far not the only type of troll here.

We NORMALLY tend not to start chanting "troll, troll, troll" but on this occasion circumstances seem to have gotten the better of Carmel's normally sweet nature.

I'm not talking about the likes of Vinaire, Uniquemand, and Student of Trinity, who have their own interests and things they like to discuss. The troll threads are obviously bogus and come in batches - two or three at a time.

I think another good strategy for detecting trolls is the good ol' "Dox or GTFO".

If you read Ruby's first posts here, I think they went something along the lines of, "I have great story me tell you in long time".

That was the warning sign for me - not to take anything Ruby says seriously until she provides this story. Seems like I was right.

Hills Cof S but no one knows Peter Mansell/Mansoll. The video shows a slim

man with dark hair, unless he lost an awful lot of weight and went darker I

expected to see a different looking Peter Mansell. You see my mother couldn't

really tell me for sure, but he was someone she was in love with and it was

possibly him then I started looking for info on him and knew that he had been

in Sydney and thought while I am here I will find out more about him and what

he was like when young.


My mother is not a good example to any girl and she has a bad history.

Eh, don't jump to conclusions.

Maybe Ruby is trying to tell us that her mother had an affair with Peter Mansell in his younger days, or somesuch. It's conceivable... no pun intended.

Threads, forums take a life of their own. Its really a positive thing.
That they don't reflect always your own interests does not make the authors
trolls.
