I'm not high-level. I've done my purif, that's it.

If I thought like you think I should think then things would fit in your frame of reference?

Here's a hint, YOU are not alone! And the "others" think differently too! :omg:

I see BTs, clusters and have rid myself of a few. I have no wish to prove this to anyone, nor wouldn't know how. If the BT shoe fits, cool and if it don't cool too. Just don't get moronic about it and start insulting people, that's just intolerant.

And OT3 is on the Net, ie FREE. Enough of the $ argument re Scientology. There is FREE Scientology out there for the brave hearted.

I am intolerant. Luckily you and those that share your views will never be able to silence those that disagree.

Anyone has a right to believe anything they want. When those views start hurting people, and when someone changes their mind only to be faced with expulsion to never see their family again, or to feel robbed of hard-earned money... then those views have to be stopped.

Your views can live on sure, yeah, you probably aren't in action about it. But COS is. And even though Anonymous gave ex-scientologists a taste that its okay to speak out, doesn't mean COS has slowed down from hurting people in the name of good.

Until the orgs are sold off, COS can continue to rob people of their money, sanity, and future.

And it doesn't matter if you disagree, or call me names, or whatever... COS is going down and there is nothing you can do to stop it.

p.s. it's kind of ironic you are on an "SP" site sticking up for COS. Just based on that you know you can never be a Scientologist again right? Maybe its time to grant yourself beingness and stop identifying your wins with elron.

There's still hope for you, and believe it or not when you drop the fascist attitude there will be a helping hand for you. :handinhand:

Well, in the first place, I don't think PMD is in the cult anymore. Not all Scn'ists are in the cult and most of the ones on ESMB aren't. So why on earth would any of us need your "help"? We wouldn't. Just as it would be presumptuous and unfair or uncool for any Scn'ist to tell you that you needed their help. So not being in a cult, life's AOK. We can come and go as we please, same as you.

No one here wants to stop you from speaking up and speaking out. As I said, there are few, if any, culties here.

And no one here wants you or well that sucked or anyone else trying to silence them, either. Just think of this as discussion and you'll be fine.

LOL is that your argument? Kids don't write checks?

To learn about xenu, and the super secret hogwash on ot3, all you need is an internet connection and a good sense of humor.

It's not my "argument". I was discussing something you wrote. I'm well aware that the Xenu stuff is all over the 'net. In fact, I've written many posts saying that I think there's nothing wrong with that (it being all over the 'net, I mean).

CoS is a bunch of people. Change the people and you change CoS. This was true of the Catholic Church and countless countries and businesses. Noone is afraid of Mongols anymore, nor of German hordes. Same will happen with CoS once David Miscavige is replaced by someone with a brain and a heart fit for that position.

My wins are mine. Elron just showed the way. I'm a Scientologist and always have been. I've never fit inside the Church, like most here, for us being too bright or too dumb in some rare instances.

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.[

Which contributor is being designated as "troll" and why?

Who? Me.

Why? If you can't win the argument via reason use Ad Hominen to get him shunned or banned. Then bask in the illusion that you won said argument.

I've seen a lot of people over the years make deliberately inflammatory comments from time to time but who are in general posting what they think and who are honest. Sometimes people do so in a fit of pique. In any event, I don't consider PMD to be troll-like at all. It's just that a pro Scn view would be a minority one here and would be considered controversial so anyone posting from that stance - particularly if they're vehement or flamboyant in any way- would be considered troll like when, in fact, the real situation is the controversy and people's reaction to it.

I'm certainly not very knowledgable in internet lingo, but I think sometimes people mean troll as someone who is conspiring with the church, and others use it as someone who is just inflamatory. Which one is correct? Or are they both correct?
If it means someone conspiring with the Church then I think many people get labelled a troll when they are not.

Troll generally means that the person is pretending to be someone or something they're not in order to elicit reactions. Now, everyone who communicates with anyone wants to elicit SOME sort of reaction, but in this case, it's a matter of being provocative for the sake of being provocative and having that be the whole entire raison d'etre for posting.

I can think of lots of people here who tease, taunt, cajole but who, nonetheless are sincere and post here for the reasons stated. They are not trolls.

There's way too much of a tendency amongst some people to stamp their feet and pound their fists on the ground in tantrum mode every time a Scn'ist shows up or defends him or herself. The reason for this is that it's wrong to ever defend oneself and that Scn'ists all need to go to the back of the bus. Oh yeah, and get on our knees and suck...

OK, here is the definition of a Troll:

An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial and irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the intention of provoking other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion.

Now if ANYBODY is doing this no matter what they believe or practice... they are a TROLL. PITBULL is a TROLL.

Others on this board and elsewhere who otherwise have decent intentions are still capable of committing Troll infractions. When ever Troll defined activity is detected it can and perhaps should be identified as such.

What's important is to understand what the troll does, why he does it and how to avoid falling into his trap.

It's that easy.

If you detect a troll, you can simply quote his post in yours and write:

TROLL: DO NOT FEED.

Further in terms of Scilons showing up and tooting Scn.... IMO they should be vigorously confronted and directed towards defining their assertions as FICTION, NON-FICTION, or SCIENCE-FICTION.

The practice of Scn. has left way too much damage and blood in it's trail; responsible members and ex-members alike have a burden of proof to produce before they advocate to others anything Scn; when they carelessly toot it based on unverifiable (meaning outside objective testing) attained abilities... it is only logical and rational that their statements be shredded down to objectively observable truth.

A Troll is someone with views as strong as my own, but with whom I do not agree.

There - it's all settled now.

Troll: A 1.1 way of saying "You won.".

:happydance:

I think that there's a fair bit of hypocrisy in the usage of the term, Troll. I'm not pointing the finger at you, by the way. It just seems that some people cannot handle much opposition to their views, and fall back to the "He's a Troll - ban him" position, because they're feeling the heat. As far as i'm concerned, anybody can say anything they like. I must confess that I like it now and again when debate gets over heated and a bit out of control.

One thing we can be absolutely sure of is that the validity of Hubbardism - or the lack of it, will not be established here.

Oooh - I think my TA's floating... Great way to start the weekend...

Prosper:)

Godwin's rule/law applies. You can express your opinions and your views without tripping hot-buttons to cause emotional reactions and obscure the expressed thought.

I might say that I perceive what you are saying as overly controlling (I don't, but for this example, let it roll), and then cite reasons why, and then make a statement about overly controlling people not being emotionally healthy, and then cite references as to why I consider this to be the case. That would be discussion. OR, I could say you're a fascist, and compare you to Hitler. Both are ways of making the same sort of point, but the second way is TROLLING.

Yes, the second is clearly insulting and not very nice. You could call it Trolling, or you could just say it's just very rude. I go a bit too far on occasion, as I exist in a milieu where rough housing, banter, and the odd punch up are normal, so I do have to make an apology or two from time to time. That's one of my learning curves.

Have a nice weekend.
